Unlink the child from his father and step mother. Then select the child by himself in family view and add his father by linking to an existing person. This will create a second relationship for the father with an unknown spouse. And he will appear as 1/2 in family view of father's second marriage. You can put her in as unknown - that way it is showing that the child has a different mother and should correct your problem.
