The message you're seeing mentions the clipboard; the
message I got by doing the obvious did not, it flatly said
it would be deleted forever. Since this morning I couldn't
get that message, I don't know what was obvious to me
yesterday that isn't today, but doesn't matter now that
we've found what wasn't obvious to me. (g) so t'speak?

RE: [LegacyUG] pictures -- unlinking

2014-01-18 Thread Leo MacDonald
Hi Cheryl,

Go to the folder where the wrong attached photo is located, click on the wrong
photo, then select to move the photo into another folder on your computer.

Go to the person or event that the wrong photo was attached to and you will
noticed that the photo is now missing, click on the missing photo box, on the
next screen select to look for the file yourself, go the the folder where the
right photo is located and select the correct photo.

You can then return the wrong photo to the same folder if you wish.

If there wasn't any other way, I'd simply copy the picture (in Windows
Explorer) to another location, then move it back after doing the Legacy
operation which deleted the original.

Uh, no, not a WIN issue for a change, Mike, because I just
clicked on the wrong image; I have both orientations
already. I'd think editing from within Legacy would save
the image with the same name it had and thus overwrite the
real one. I need both the right one and the wrong one for
separate purposes.

Or you go to the Media Center and find the picture you attached and go to that
person’s Attached Photos tab and click the Remove button, highlight the correct
individual and click Attach. If you had captions or anything first copy them
from the Attached photo tab and put them on the first tab so that when you
attach it to the new person the caption and other stuff is attached also.

When you are in the Picture Gallery or Media Gallery - not sure what
it was called in 7.4 - highlight the picture you want to unlink and
click the Remove button in the right side panel. That just removes the link.
