Re: [LegacyUG] .LDB file

I deleted all the LDB files and used Legacy several times since with no
problems opening or closing.

The SugarSync download is STILL showing a 1 kb (familyname.ldb file)
awaiting downloading!

Seriously, this sounds like a SugarSync problem to me. I can tell you how
to delete the LDB file from your computer, but I honestly don't know
anything about SugarSync, which is not our product.

 Subject: [LegacyUG] .LDB file

I'm using the most current version of Legacy 8 on a 64bit Windows 8.1
desktop machine. I use SugarSync to sync Legacy files with a 64bit
 Windows 7.0 Home Premium laptop.

Evidently something I've done just recently has caused a problem in the
sync-ing process because the SugarSync program never gets totally sync'd
because on the desktop side SugarSync is attempting to download a .LDB
 file that NEVER downloads!

From what I've been able to gather .LDB files have something to do with
ACCESS and are supposed to be deleted automatically not needing sync'd.
I've found 10 of these .LDB files, two of which are the current date,
and
one of which is the culprit noted in the SugarSync message.

I'm not sure if this is a Legacy issue or SugarSync issue. Can I
*safely*
delete these 2 files with the current date (and the other 8 for that
matter) and, hopefully, get SugarSync working properly?

I don't know what I did to create this situation. What do I need to do
to
keep from recreating the issue in the future?

 Thanks

 Gary Crull

Re: [LegacyUG] .LDB file

2015-04-28 Thread Flora
Hello,

I'm having the same issue with version 7.5. I have locked files and they
won't sync to my backup server.

When I check some have .ldb file extensions. Can I safely delete those in
Version 7.5?

And some of my files have the following extension, which I need to know if
I can safely delete, or if they created the same problem:
.ldb.!sync

Thanks,
Flora

Only if Legacy is not open nor any of the add-on programs. Those are
files that Access creates and removes when the file is not in use.

It *must* be there when the file is in use.
