FS: 15" MacBook Pro Battery

2011-10-08 Thread jeffsab
This is an original Apple battery from a 2008 MacBook Pro (non-
unibody, 2006-2008). It has 439 cycle counts on it as I type this, and
Apple System Profiler reports a full capacity of 3183 mAh. I usually
get about 2:00 of use out of it. I can send a screen capture of the
System Profiler report.

Asking $35 plus actual shipping cost.

FS: Older Mac Networking Stuff (?) and Mouse

2011-10-08 Thread Alex Kampe
I've got what seems to be some older Mac networking stuff and a
Desktop Bus II mouse.

I do know I have an Apple Ethernet Twisted-Pair Transceiver model
M0437 in the networking stuff - the rest I have no clue about.

It all seems to be in good condition except for the mouse, which is
missing the plastic "smoothers" on the bottom.

Pictures are available here: http://rizon.lordaeron.org/for_sale/apple/.
I have one of the entire lot, and one of the bottom of the mouse and
Ethernet transceiver.

Would like to get $15 shipped for all of it to the lower 48 US
states. Paypal, personal check (allowing time to clear), or postal
money order are accepted.

Ships from Floyd, VA 24091.

FS: Authentic 24" x 36" Think Different Posters - Complete Set of 14

2011-10-08 Thread Matthew Janeczek
Up for sale is my mint condition 24" x 36" Think Different poster set,
the most prized possession of my entire collection! As a seasoned
collector, I'm very well aware of all the fake reproductions floating
around the Internet, particularly eBay. May I offer you a little
background on how I acquired my set.

Back in 1998 an Apple employee from Cupertino, CA by the name of
Michael Garrison posted all 14 posters listed below for auction on
eBay, which I won. The address below contains a picture of the
original mailing tubes as they were sent to me, with his return
address written on both. The postage stamp (not shown) reads 1998 as
well. All 14 posters remained in these tubes over the past 12 years
and were never hung on a wall or exposed to sunlight. They are in
mint condition as evidenced by the individual photos of each poster.
These larger size posters, as opposed to the smaller educator set,
were sold from the Apple store in Cupertino in a rolled up fashion.
They were only sold from this single store on the Apple campus and I
recall doing a background check on Michael Garrison to verify he truly
was an Apple employee at the time, which he was. I am absolutely
confident these are authentic, original posters directly from Apple.

The following address will take you to the Public folder of my iDisk.
Click on the Think Different Posters folder to download pictures of
all 14 posters and the mailing tubes.

http://public.me.com/mjaneczek

In order to offer a fair and reasonable price, I didn't turn to eBay
since even today there are still a multitude of fake posters that skew
the prices of the authentic ones. The Missing Bite is an online store
that sells all types of Apple memorabilia, including most of the Think
Different posters. The list below gives the retail price of each
poster from their website (first price) along with my asking price for
each poster (second price). I feel this is a fair valuation and
offers a competitive edge over the prices from The Missing Bite. As
you can see in the grand total row, there is a difference of $1350
between the two for all 14 posters.

Bob Dylan, $700, $600
Jim Henson, $500, $400
Maria Callas, $300, $200
Pablo Picasso, $400, $300
Martha Graham, $300, $200
Thomas Edison, $300, $200
Miles Davis, $500, $400
Ted Turner, $150, $100
Alfred Hitchcock, $400, $300
Albert Einstein, $700, $600
Gandhi, $400, $300
Ansel Adams, $400, $300
Lucy and Desi, $400, $300
Joan Baez, $400, $300

Grand Total, $5850, $4500

As every good collector feels deep down inside, I really would hate to
break up this complete set. So as an added incentive to keep the set
intact, I am willing to sell all 14 posters for $4000 to a single
buyer. If, over time, I can not find a single buyer, I will consider
the option of selling individually.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

WTB: Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2 Retail

2011-10-08 Thread Alex Kampe
I'm trying to install OS9 on an older Mac, but my install disk is
corrupted and there's a few files that can't be read by any drive I've
tried it in.

I'd like to buy a retail version of either Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2 - just
the disc is needed, no manuals or other paperwork. Would prefer it to
have little to no scratches on it.

Please include your shipped price to Floyd, VA 24091 - time is not an
issue, but cost is, so please ship via whatever is cheapest for you.

Thanks,
Alex Kampe

WTB/WTT: Apple II OS (any version)

2011-10-08 Thread Steven Fowler
I got an Apple //c last year, but it didn't come with any software. As my
AppleSoft programs get more complex it is becoming a real pain to retype them
every time I reset the computer. I'd be happy with any operating system that
will run on the //c, but preferably ProDOS. I don't need original Apple disks
either, just something that can format blank disks allowing me to save my work.
I'm looking for something very cheap, which shouldn't be a problem since
according to my understanding those operating systems can legally be copied to
new disks. Ideally I'd like to keep it to a maximum of about $5, since that
should cover shipping costs. I'd also be willing to trade if anyone wants a few
blank floppies in exchange.

Just to clarify, this is a real Apple //c, not an emulator. It is also the
original 1984 model, which means it uses 5.25" disks, not 3.5". I know there
are places to get it for free online, but I have no way to copy a download to a
disk, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.

Shipping would be to Chicago, IL 60661, and my eBay ID is obi1kenobi1 (100%
positive feedback).

Thanks,
Steven Fowler

WTB: Powerbook 190 16-bit Video output/Ethernet upgrade

2011-10-08 Thread William Barnett-Lewis
In the longshot department this evening, I've got a Powerbook 190 that
I got recently that I'm playing with.

Does anyone have a Focus Enhancements MV16EN for Powerbook 190 with
the pigtails?

Thanks!

WTB : Retail DVD of Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 or 10.5.6

2011-10-08 Thread mwschmeer
I'm in need of a retail version of OS X Leopard DVD - the universal
version that will run on both PPC and Intel.

I'm looking for an original DVD, not a burned copy.
