Dear LibTech:

Quick note that we've just updated to Martus 4.5.1 -- same cool stuff
as 4.5, but now with Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and Vietnamese translations.

Download/upgrade at https://www.martus.org/

[Hard at work on the coming 5.0, expect big things...]

Cheers all,
Collin

Re: [liberationtech] Announcing Martus 4.5, now with more usability!

2014-09-04 Thread Chris Ballinger
Hey Collin,

Martus seems like it could desperately use an updated website. There are
some great modern Apache 2.0 licensed Bootstrap 3 templates at
StartBootstrap http://startbootstrap.com that could be a good starting
point. Martus might be great software but, first impressions count, and
right now the website looks like a portal to the 90s. It might make users
wonder if the core software itself is no longer maintained unless they take
a closer look.

Otherwise, cheers on the new release!

Thanks much for sharing these thoughts, Chris. We agree with you 100%.

As we work on the 5.0 release, we're also actively redesigning
martus.org. We expect both the new software and the new site to be
released/launched this Fall, at which point there will surely be an
announcement here. Thanks much for the constructive feedback, and do
know that we're heading that way and are almost there!

Otherwise, cheers on the new release!

Many thanks!

Collin
