Morgan, I'd love to hear more but unfortunately I'll be in Israel/Palestine that day. I just ran across your name when I saw an announcement of a talk by someone from OLPC and looked up Wikipedia to see it's current state. The Wikipedia article says "Mark Warschauer, a Professor of University of California at Irvine and Morgan Ames, at the time of writing, a PhD candidate at Hawaii University, have pointed out that the laptop by itself does not completely fill the need of students in underprivileged countries." Should I trust anything else it says? I'd love to catch up some time, and congratulations on finishing the dissertation. --t
