Hi, Florian The reason for my 1st message is very simple. I use NT-5.1/2, but I do not know which configurations should be at my computer. LibO-Dev_4.2.0 MSI-packages are used different MS_VCR (2010 and 2012), and as a result, have different bugs. My question is, which is preferred? Should I strip the wiki to the minimum with very basic info or include the details needed where someone could technically use the wiki without additional input in a relatively cohesive way? IMHO on the wiki, it only makes sense to have a 'staged description' of whatever workflow. That is, have one description that covers the usual case short and sweet and a second page/section with all the gory details. Both should link to each other of course. This is to: - not scare away newcomers with too much detail - allowing people to add details without bitrotting the short description into a long and winding one. see also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle Best, Bjoern ___ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
[Libreoffice-qa] [ANNOUNCE] Tag libreoffice-4.1.3.2 (on branch libreoffice-4-1-3) created
Hi all, The tag libreoffice-4.1.3.2 (AKA 4.1.3 RC2) has been created on the libreoffice-4-1-3 branch. The branch will be used for fine tuning of the 4.1.3 release. (It is the last scheduled RC) The following rules apply to the branch: + preferably just translation or blocker fixes + only cherry-picking from libreoffice-4-1 branch + 2 additional reviews needed; 2nd reviewer pushes + no regular merges back to anything The 'libreoffice-4-1' branch is still active and will be used for the 4.1.4 bugfix release. [Libreoffice-qa] [ANN] LibreOffice 4.1.3 RC2 test builds available
Hi *, for the upcoming new version 4.1.3, most of the builds for RC2 are now available on pre-releases (Windows still pending) It is the last of two planned RCs - see the plan here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/4.1#4.1.3_release Grab the builds from here here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/ If you've a bit of time, please give them a try report *critical* bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect feedback. NOTE: This build is in a release configuration and _will_ replace your existing LibreOffice install on Windows. The list of fixed bugs relative to 4.1.3RC1 is here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/bugs-libreoffice-4-1-3-release-4.1.3.2.log So playing with the areas touched there also greatly appreciated - and validation that those bugs are really fixed. Special thanks to all QA, developers, bugreporters who did make this possible. Björn did write a script to create some bug-handler stats - you'll find the number of bugs along with the names in the wiki ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Releases/4.1.3/RC2#Thanks_to_all_who_took_part_in_handling_the_issues ) Of course also big thanks to contributors who do great work in other areas that cannot be put into numbers! Of some of these new functions, LibreOffice has equivalents and direct mapping between Excel and Calc is possible (see (http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Calc/Drafts/Treatment_of_new_Excel_2010_functions), but this mapping is not yet implemented. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68903] FILEOPEN: CSV files with .xls suffix are opened as Writer documents
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68903 --- Comment #7 from Maxim momonas...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #6) The real problem is the file assocication, (.csv is associated to writer, not calc. In fact there is no memtion of calc in the .csv file association. I will open it in openSUSE? I would assume LibreOffice does not set-up the openSUSE file associations. If calc sets up file associations, let me know and I will open a new one against Calc. There is no bug in LibreOffice for sure, as Calc's .desktop file does define the association with .csv files. The problem might be in your distribution\desktop environment. It's easy to check: You should navigate to /usr/share/applications, locate the libreoffice-calc.desktop file, and open it in a text editor. The line starting with MimeType= should contain 'text/csv' entry. If it's there, then the bug is in your desktop environment (KDE?). Otherwise you should report it to your distribution. But before reporting the bug, I suggest also to check the .local/share/applications folder in your user profile, which might override your global system settings. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When you do, please change status of this report back to NEW. Until then, let's leave it as NEEDINFO. Sophie could not reproduce this issue, I have failed either. Since we don't have consensus here, I think it's better to remove NEW status from report. I have noticed that File - Send - Create new master doc will fail if opened file does not have Heading 1 style definition. You can create that definition by either: a) applying Heading 1 style to any paragraph b) changing Heading 1 properties (change interline or whatever) Be aware, that style definition might be inherited from template used to create document. So, this will result in error message: 1. Open LO with new, never used before, profile directory (use -env:UserInstallation=file:// command line switch) 2. Create new Writer document 3. File - Send - Create new master doc 4. After specifying filename, LO will show error It doesn't matter whether you save document or not before step 3. Apparently, language and locale settings don't matter either. But if you apply Heading 1 to any paragraph, or change heading 1 properties, before step 3, then LO will successfully create new master document. I think that you might have run into issue mentioned above and mistakenly thought that UI language plays a role here. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70608 --- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- Suggestion : Scenario : your text is mainly with a font size 11, with some parts in font size 16 (that you want to revert to font size 11) ans some parts in italics (that you want to preserve). Prerequisite for my suggestion : the desired target attributes are those of the underlying paragram style (the ones you get with a Ctrl-M). Proposed solution : - select all the paragraphs where you want your normalisation to take place, - set font size 16 for all (direct attribute, OK...) - set font size 11 for all (...all Font Size direct formatting has gone, and only this attribute) Same processing for all the direct attributes you want to erase.
