[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115431] Calculation and border problem in the new version

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115431

(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #3)

Yes - the F11 cell does contain a formula, and current values in referenced
cells must give a numerical values.

Still the OOXML has this for the F11:

>
> aca="false">IF((C11D11)=,,(D11-C11-7))1.00
>

where the 't="str"' part makes it a textual cell. On opening the file, unless a
recalc is required (either way mentioned by m.a.riosv), cached values are used
(which is OK).

However, the question is, from where and how the cell was marked as text
originally. Maybe that's the real bug, but the document doesn't give a way to
see that. Maybe there's some original document, and steps to reproduce it?

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

(In reply to Bartosz from comment #7)
The steps are as simple as stated in the original report. 3 times resave is
enough to see the increase in indent.

Will provide a screenshot.

This may be OS specific. @Xavier Van Wijmeersch what is your OS?

At opening the file F11 seems has text, that's why it's not summed, SUM()
doesn't sum text cells, numbers as text are only treated as numbers with a
direct reference to the cell not with a range reference.

After a hard recalc [Shif+Ctrl+F9] works fine, and F11 became a number.

With the option Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Formula/Recalculation on
file load, as 'Excel 2077 and newer' - 'Always recalculate', opens with right
format and sum value.

It doesn't happen with:
Version 3.6.7.2 (Build ID: e183d5b)

Happens with:
Version 4.0.6.2 (Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24)

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon

I was wrong about this, slow/med/fast always seems to be 1/0.75/0.5 s, it's
just the defaults on the UI that are different, eg. Fade is 0.7 s, while Reveal
is 3.4 s.

So with an irregular default timing, the exact timing is saved together with
the closest predefined timing.

Szymon is working on a very similar bug report (bug 115394), if that covers PPT
as well, this can be closed as duplicate.

Hmm, nothing really helpful standing out there. If you please could:

make CppunitTest_xmlsecurity_signing CPPUNIT_TEST_NAME=testODFEncryptedGPG
CPPUNITTRACE="gdb --args"

, and then stick a breakpoint here:

break appopen.cxx:240

(and then run)?

If you hit that breakpoint - do a 'catch throw', then keep
single-stepping. If you reach the end of the CheckPasswd_Impl()
function, I'm at a loss. If you hit exceptions before, I'd be
interested in backtraces for all of them.

Cheers,

It seems that calling TransferableDataHelper::CreateFromSystemClipboard(...),

expensive.
Attaching profile results, of 133s, ~123s is spent in that function
(inclusive).
That's what should be avoided somehow.

Yup, it's fixed by Mike's commit. Thanks a lot, Mike!

Closing this bug as FIXED.

Something interesting, though:
The two dialogs still act a bit differently, the dialog that used to get focus
(attachment 138446) is more intrusive, and stays in front even if you switch to
different applications without dismissing it. The other dialog only stays in
front if the LO window is in front.

This must be because of the original difference how these dialogs are
presented, and not much relevant (at most a minor annoyance).

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.

just for the note, the pb comes from path of sound files, eg:
- file:///home/julien/lo/libreoffice/instdir/share/gallery/sounds/pluck.wav
-
file:///home/julien/lo/libreoffice/instdir/program/../share/gallery/sounds/pluck.wav
It appears in
lcl_findSoundInList (see

which calls lcl_EqualsSoundFileName (see

No. The data in F11 isn't a number; it's just a text. Most possibly you had
used wrong decimal separator when entered it. So, it isn't used in SUM.

Hi!

The bag is simple: writer just crashes.
To repeat it, please do this:
1. enter formula editor mode
2. write something
3. press "esc" button to escape formula editor mode
4. press right arrow key
And that is! At this moment my writer crashes.

I hope this will help you.

Thanks for your job!

Sincerely,
Bogdan.

Absolutely unexpected.

What is your OS? (Please give details from winver launched using command line

I updated the patch See https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/49179/
I can't tell if the patch is the right one, I only can say that it retrieves
personas and I can't install them.

when opening a visio (*.vsd) file with LibreOffice Draw you can save this file

Are you sure only escaping of characters in links is the problem? I have read

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115427] New: .deb packages seem to lack GTK3 integration

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115427

Bug ID: 115427
Summary: .deb packages seem to lack GTK3 integration
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: goyod...@gmail.com

Description:
LibreOffice 6.0 uses GTK2 in Ubuntu 17.10. The readme does not mention GUI
toolkits. Advide in several forums suggested setting SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN to
"gtk3" so I tried:

$ SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 libreoffice6.0

and

$ export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3
$ libreoffice6.0

but nothing changed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download LibreOffice for Linux from libreofice.org
2. Install as explained in README_en-US
3. Launch libreoffice

Actual Results:
I see a gtk2 GUI. Click the "Open File" button brings the old gtk2 filedialog.

Expected Results:
The GUI should be using gtk3 or there should be a documented way of making it
use gtk3.

NFS allows reading and writing files on the "server"
LO locks the files on the server once used by the owner. This could be
prevented by commenting out two lines in /usr/bin/soffice

All of this worked fine until I installed LO 6. Now despite the change to
/usr/bin/soffice the files remain in accessible from the other three computers.

I have requested help on Ubuntu Launchpad and LO user forum, but no definitive
answers were given. I know I am probably the only user who has this problem
but it is to me important to have unlimited access to the files on my server.
I am the owner and the ONLY user.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115416] LibreOffice fails to build with IJG's libjpeg - error: ‘JCS_EXT_BGRA’ was not declared in this scope

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115416

https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/49187/ might work to build with classic
libjpeg if someone is willing to test that configuration.

Though classic libjpeg presumably will have a some performance loss there wrt
the default configuration

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115405] Failure to launch Libreoffice 6 after installation

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115405

--- Comment #5 from Surya Sunder Dey ---
(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #4)
> When you first installed version 6, did it offer you to install VS Redist
> after main installation had finished? (It might had asked you for admin
> permission, if you have UAC enabled).

It did install VS Redist on its own, without bothering to ask. And since it's
LO we're dealing with I assumed whatever setup is doing is doing for the best
and didn't cancel that installation. When the installed program failed to start
with the aforesaid error message I uninstalled it, registry and all and then
uninstalled the VS Redist so that no corrupted leftover remains. Then I
installed it again from the MSI that I have downloaded along with the VS
Redist, which I believe is bundled. Even then the error persists.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115418] Suggested improvement: Use * / to apply text styles

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115418

RGB changed:

 CC||rgb.m...@gmail.com
Version|unspecified |Inherited From OOo

This would be an interesting enhancement, indeed!

Right now it's possible to set keyboard shortcuts also for character styles
(there are already several predefined for paragraph styles) so it should be
possible to set some kind of "activator" (either default keyboard shortcuts or
something else) for common character styles.

Great idea!

PD: set version as "Inherited from OOo"

Is it a Gentoo pb (I mean they should add some dependencies) or is it a LO pb?
(eg: should we check version in configure.ac)

With crashreports, let's put this one to NEW.

I submitted a patch for review here:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/49186/
It's more a workaround since it blacklists this graphic card for OpenGL use in
LO.
I don't know if it's the right thing to do, that's why I'll wait for LO dev
experts respond.

When I open a PageMaker file that has a Style Sheet, the style sheet

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109143] image exported to pdf is not being cropped correctly

OK, subtle but current export to PDF does not honor the image clip and instead
inserts the full image into frame holding the image on document
canvas--distorting it.

The example document here, the clip applied was only horizontal, and results on
export PDF image squeezed to fit into the frame.

The resulting size of PDF export includes the whole unclipped image, initial
issue of bug 45168, but restated in
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45168#c10

The same document printed to PDF (with a PS based flow) correctly clips the
image, and its size is reduced.

Scope of bug 45168 would impact this.

Sorry I hadn't seen this one.
I submitted a patch for review for tdf#115417
The patch allows to retrieve the theme (I saw just one)

Should I
1) Change my patch so it references this one and then I put tdf#115417 as a dup
or
2) put this one as a dup of tdf#115417
?

I have the same issue with LibreOffice 6.0.0.3 see Bug 115422

I have deleted
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/LibreOffice
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/LibreOfficeDev
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/OpenOffice.org

I did disable Java in the settings.

OpenGL is disabled.

I do have only 1 discrete graphics chip. So there is no graphics card
switching.

It is not related to high CPU load.

The workarround to run the soffice binary directly works for me.

LibreOffice does not quit when closing the terminal.

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115422

Bug ID: 115422
Summary: Libreoffice 6.0.3 crashes at start on MacOS 10.13.3
High Sierra
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: t.schel...@email.de

Description:
When starting LibreOffice 6.0.3 on MacOS 10.13.3 it crashes immediately.

I did delete the whole LibeOffice and OpenOffice.org folders in
Library/ApplicationSupport but it did not fix the issue.

After deletion of the folders, everytime I start LibreOffice 6.0.3 it crashes,
but after after pressing "open again" 1-x times, it starts.

When installing the language pack it did not find LibreOffice automatically and
did also crash, but did install at second try.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download LibreOffice 6
2.Double click dmg
3.Copy LibreOffice 6 to Applications folder
4.Select replace
5.Start LibreOffice either from finder or launchpad
6.Confirm that you want to open it
7.It will crash
8.It will always crash no matter how often you press "open again".

9.Delete ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/LibreOffice,
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/LibreOfficeDev and
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/OpenOffice.org
10. Start LibreOffice
11.It will crash, click "open again"
12a.If it crashes again go back to 11
12b.It will start

13. Quit LibreOffice and continue at step 10.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice crashes at every start

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should start without crash

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Hi guys, I just downloaded 6.0.0.3 and installed it over 5.3.x and it seems the
problem is still not solved. I get the same error message as the OP, so I tried
to:

1) Repair the installation – no success
2) Remove LO and Visual C++ Redistributable for VS 2015 and perform a fresh
install – no success although I saw the Visual C++ Redistributable for VS 2015
was a part of the installation
3) Manually install the Visual C++ Redistributable for VS 2015 Update 3
mentioned in #7 – finally I got it working

I think this can discourage many of the potential LO users… :-(

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115416] LibreOffice fails to build with IJG's libjpeg - error: ‘JCS_EXT_BGRA’ was not declared in this scope

2018-02-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115416

--- Comment #3 from andreas.sturmlech...@gmail.com ---
Gentoo provides the option of external libjpeg-turbo or IJG's libjpeg. I was
under the impression both should be supported, at least until some commit that
broke it.

If you say that externally only libjpeg-turbo is supported, we can change that
dependency downstream.
