[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103947] LibreOffice Draw can not save as (replace) the opening pdf to itself, Must Rename.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103947 Adrienchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|WONTFIX |--- Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Adrien --- Coming here from Bug 116686 https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116686: I've yet to encounter any such corruption, either using export, or using the Print to functionality, but I understand why this was marked as WONTFIX, but then the bug isn't the lack of functionality (for very good reasons), but a poor UX handling of the situation. A user should not be thrown an error without explanation or have to figure out options on their own. If you don't want people editing PDF's with LO, then don't allow them to edit PDF's with LO. Why is that functionality there at all? Why isn't the PDF imported as read only? What's the point? Why not warn the user they'll have to export as a different file name, or how doing this at all risks the corruption you speak of? This bug should be re-opened, at least with respect to how the error is handled with the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

'StylePoolImpl::createIterator': function does not take 0 arguments
Hello, I'm himajin10, often trying to make my own DEBUG build. This mail is just for explanation. I have written a bug report "tdf#116677:StylePool::createIterator has default paramters, but StylePoolImpl's does not" , but there Xisco Faulí kindly requested me to post these build issues to dev mailing-list, not to bugzilla. C:/sources/libo-core/svl/source/items/stylepool.cxx(410): error C2660: 'StylePoolImpl::createIterator': function does not take 0 arguments on trying to write a patch for this issue, I also found that variable declaration for mnCount(only used in DEBUG builds) was removed by the commit 778e9a65bf5 done by Noel Grandin.(This removal would not be problematic on release builds, but is problematic for DEBUG builds) ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115325] Regression: Calc v6 opens .ODS file slower than v5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115325 --- Comment #20 from Thorsten Behrens (CIB)--- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #18) > Thorsten: given that there's now version 1.10.0 of gpgme, which is said to > have "Reduced spawn overhead on Linux again", isn't it worth it to update > for 6.1 and check if that would fix this? Right, though I guess even better would be not pulling in gpgme at all if there's no digital signature. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116687] New: Multiple Selection "hangs" after Ctrl+Left or Ctrl+Right
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116687 Bug ID: 116687 Summary: Multiple Selection "hangs" after Ctrl+Left or Ctrl+Right Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.1.0.4 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gerhard.we...@t-online.de Created attachment 140945 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=140945=edit Hardcopy of a sixfold re-selection In Writer select two not contiguous text portions, using Ctrl for the second selection (for a contiguous selection there is a similar effect, but it's more difficult to describe). Then use Ctrl+Right or Ctrl+Left. Then, as it should be, the cursor jumps to the start of the next word or to the previous one. But the selection is not cancelled, it remains and will only vanish if you close the document. Thus it seems that only the surface representation is affected. This is confirmed by the fact that if you create a selection elsewhere and change the attributes, then only this new selection is affected. The object CurrentSelection also shows only the new selection or simply the cursor position. It seems that pressing Ctrl is the signal for retaining the selection, even though the combination Ctrl+Right or ...Left does something completely different. As someone pointed out to me, you can even cumulate the effect by again and again selecting parts of the same primary selection; I enclose a hardcopy of a sixfold selection, resulting in an ever deeper blue colour. I could reproduce this in Windows 10 for many LibO versions since 4.1.0.2.0. In versions 3.5.0rc3 and older and in OpenOffice this does not happen. For the intermittent versions I cannot say anything, as I had technical problems installing them. This behaviour has been reproduced twice by other people for different Linux installations and different LibO versions, too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steve wrote: > Hi. > Have you checked Format>Print ranges and checked View>Page break to see > that the graphs fit on the page. > Does File>Prit preview show all graphs. Checked the Format of the page being correctly orientated etc and Print Preview did NOT show all images. So I defined the print range as the whole page, which I thought would have been standard printing practice ie if I say print sheeets 1,3,4,5 then the entire sheets of 1, 3, 4, 5 should be selected and printed but apparently Libreoffice didn't think like I did. I amended all the sheets and defined the print range as the entire sheet and then all graphs showed on Print Preview. I Exported as PDF and viola' all graphs appeared. Thanks, I'll certainly remember to check print range in future. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116686] New: Can't overwrite PDF on export
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116686 Bug ID: 116686 Summary: Can't overwrite PDF on export Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Printing and PDF export Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: adrien.montele...@gmail.com When editing an existing PDF file, I cannot use File > Export As PDF or using the Export feature, then choosing PDF as the file type and choosing to export with the original file name, and confirming to overwrite it. The error given is: Error saving the document : General Error. General input/output error. Expected behavior is to be able to overwrite the file I'm editing. Note, the PDF is NOT open with any other software at the time. It seems that LO is locking the PDF even from itself. Workaround #1: Export the PDF to a different file name. Delete the original file. Rename the new file to the original file name. Workaround #2: If PDF printing is available, through the respective print dialogs, such as on macOS "Save as PDF" or linux "Print to File", and choosing to overwrite - works fine. On Windows, this is not natively available, but does work with 3rd party PDF printers such as Bullzip. This bug was present in the 5.x series as well, I'm just getting around to reporting it now that I see it is still present. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116685 V Stuart Footechanged: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote --- There is no means to paste data into an existing table--that is bug 37223 and/or bug 95741 Copy -> Paste from Calc to Writer by default pastes a Calc8 OLE object. Copy -> Paste Special DDE, or HTML will paste either active DDE content, or HTML table which picks up Writer templates "Default Style" table. The style can then be changed. Point here is that you _can_ bring data over from Calc -- just that the default now is a static OLE object that can not be styled, with an option of DDE or HTML--either of which can be styled. Would the HTML table be a better paste default than the Calc8 OLE? And at some point we would need to be able to modify the Default Table style. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
