[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49697] PDF: LO asks for password opening attached file. Evince does not.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49697 --- Comment #21 from yury.dubin...@gmail.com --- The problem is that the file is encrypted using empty password. - Try to open the file with Draw and enter any string. You will get: "The password is incorrect. The file cannot be opened." - Delete the string making the password field empty and press OK. The file is opened. The password is null. I have many financial statements that are encrypted using empty password. There are reasons, mostly relevant for Adobe products, for using empty passwords. I I also attached a demo PDF encrypted with empty password via qpdf. Programs such as Adobe Reader, Chrome / Chromium, Firefox, Evince, Okular, GIMP, and ImageMagic, and others don't prompt for password when the password is null. Even programs which has problems with PDF decryption such as Imagemagic and Inkscape silently open such files. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142469] New: SSH Keys for remote files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142469 Bug ID: 142469 Summary: SSH Keys for remote files Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.3.1 rc Hardware: All OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: certainlyhu...@gmail.com Description: I did a search to make sure this hadn't been posted yet, and it has, but back in October of 2018 (May 2021 as of this posting): https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119582#c1 I don't know coding programs, but I know that Cyberduck FTP is open source and has the option to add SSH keys (and save them), so while I don't know what the code is to be added, I know it could be found there - likely modifications needed. I'm using the Mac version, haven't checked on Windows or Debian to see if it was ever added there, but I'd assume if it had, then it would've been added to all versions. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open "Remote Files". 2. "Manage services" -> "Add service". 3. Choose SSH or FTP (assuming wanting to use SFTP). 4. Observe that the option to add SSH Keys doesn't exist. Actual Results: Leaves the person who's expecting to see the option feeling a little bummed out. Expected Results: Feeling like teh sunshines. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Using SSH without SSH keys is wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142450] LibreOffice Writer Configuration + View menu + Normal or Web view
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142450 --- Comment #2 from krumple_sodium --- About bug 135307, so he wants to have Web View renamed to Outline View? To be honest, I don’t understand why it is called Web View either. So, the guy has a point. Perhaps because ordinary HTML pages are like infinite height pages. I don’t need 37817 and that is a request from 2011. I prefer the Outline View mode (or let’s call it infinite height paper) because the page breaks are distracting. I am typing something and suddenly, poof, it jumps a few centimeter down. It is also distracting when I read my own writings. Or perhaps I paste an image. If I start to type something above the image, poof, the image flies to the next page. Writer calculates that there isn’t enough room on the page so it pushes the image to the next page. Again, this makes reading my own stuff difficult. I have a few hundred documents with text and images. So, once in a while, I read them again. I don’t print anything. I don’t need WYSIWYG. Whatever the solution is, the total program state should be saved in a Config.ini. When I leave my house and come back, everything is in its original state. The cups and magazines are in the same exact location. Currently, when you save in the ODT format while it is in Web view, it saves that state in the ODT file. That’s fine but the program should have its own state save as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142443] Libre Office Writer breaks the text adding unwanted tags in the content.xml file
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142443 --- Comment #7 from Tyco72 --- (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #3) > The problem is likely caused by officeooo:rsid attributes. Those are written > to improve change tracking. You can avoid them with two methods: > A) Go to menu Tools > Options > Writer > Comparison and uncheck the option > "Store it when changing the document". To remove the attributes from > existing documents, you need to save them once in format "1.3" (method B) or > remove the attributes manually in the file. > B) Save in "ODF 1.3". Unfortunately this does not only avoid this attribute > but all LibreOffice extensions. And LibreOffice has a lot of extensions. To > change the file format for saving go to menu Tools > Options > Writer > > Load/Save and select the version "1.3" from the drop-down list 'ODF format > version:'. > > Please report back whether removing the officeooo:rsid attributes solves the > problem. Hello. I could some tests, but not too much intensively: - Disabling the option in Tools > Options > Writer > Comparison "Store it when changing the document" it seem so reduce the amount of unwanted line breaks, but not before and after the words with different colors or in bold. - Saving the document in format ODF 1.2 not extended, (on LO 6.4 I have not V 1.3), it cleans some unwanted line breaks, but not before and after the words formatted with different color "star clusters" or some word in bold "today". I will attach the file saved in ODF 1.2 and the screenshot. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
