As there is no possiblity to write to the page owners I commented on https://www.facebook.com/libreoffice.org/posts/364685130219760 with some hints, but nobody of them replied. I think we have to wait for the next pre-release and see how they will act. Promoting RCs on Facebook
Hi, as already written to the marketing list: Can the maintainer of https://www.facebook.com/libreoffice.org please raise his hand? I've seen again that the folder http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/ has been mentioned there to promote testing. This is not very useful as this is a single machine to carry the load. It is better to wait for the mirror network, which makes the test-builds available at http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/ Thank you. Re: [libreoffice-projects] [ANN] LibreOffice 3.5.1 RC1 available
Hi, 2012/2/26 Thorsten Behrens t...@documentfoundation.org: for the upcoming new version 3.5.1, the RC1 builds now start to be available on pre-releases. This build is slated to be one of two release candidate builds on the way towards 3.5.1, please refer to our release plan timings here: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan#3.5_release Builds are now being uploaded to a public (but non-mirrored - so don't spread news too widely!) place, as soon as they're available. Grab them here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/ If you've a bit of time, please give them a try report *critical* bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect feedback. The list of fixed bugs relative to 3.5.0 is here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/bugfixes-libreoffice-3-5-1-release-3.5.1.1.log So playing with the areas touched there also greatly appreciated - and validation that those bugs are really fixed. There are some duplicate entries in the options menu for Writer here, installed in german on Windows XP32. One localized, one in english, for Mailmerge, Compatibility and AutoCaption. If nobody CCs himself in the next days I will kill the EasyHack status on that bug (A easy hack without a mentor is no easy hack). The bug history https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_activity.cgi?id=38884 suggests to me that the was created with EasyHack in the description and that EasyHack was added to the whiteboard by--wait for it--Bjoern Michaelsen. I wonder what it is that I do not understand. I think Bjoern migrated Easyhacks from some wiki page to bugzilla, so he is the bugzilla-reporter of old easyhacks. Indeed he did: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=Development/Easy_Hacks_Complete_Listdiff=prevoldid=28253 So it has been added before that day, but has not been mentioned in the comment. (Did *I* mention that comments are recommended at the wiki?) Re: [Libreoffice] Blocker Bug for 3.4.2 release
Hi, 2011/7/30 Rainer Bielefeld libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de: I decided to rate Bug 39510 - CRASH closing document with footnotes https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39510 as a blocker, because LibO currently is unusable for scientific texts or other ones with many footnotes, see my Comment 7 in the bug. I know it's rather late and I do not know whether everyone will rate that one like me, but may be you can check severity of that bug? I am sharing Rainers opinion. Is there any decision on this? [Libreoffice] Quality of nightly for beta2
Hi all, I have tried to install and use the actual nightly (20110420) on a Windows XP system and found at least two obvious and annoying bugs. The localisation is completely broken and you will get a crash every time your closing it. See the bug-list here http://goo.gl/dXoAt We should discuss if it makes sense to make the actual nightly for windows (20110420) the beta2. I know we will have more delay from time for the fixes, time to build and at least easter. But beta1 was desastrous and the people did not only look at us but pointing with fingers too. So we should go for quality imho. Opinions anyone?
