As far as I know, the application names are typically untranslated and I don't know of any localization using translated names. I can say for sure that they were never translated in the Italian version, in 1.x, 2.x or 3.x. But it's good to check with Sophie, French tend to translate much more technical terms than Italian do! For language not written in Latin script they are likely to get transliterated, we certainly do that in Arabic.
