In all applications the idea is the following one (though Writer stores it a differently than other): All styles are stored in a common container. They have are methods on their classes to determine if they are used, hidden, user defined, etc. The "Style & Formatting" dialog access those containers using a iterator on which we apply a Search Mask. This mask is a bit-OR combination of flags and the one for Custom Styles is SFXSTYLEBIT_USERDEF. Note that Writer defines some additional mask flags.
