I don't know why. I pulled this afternoon(in Brazil) and it worked. I
did a make clean and compiled this again.

I'm not aware that I ever tweaked the color depth of my installation 
(and to be  honest, can't even find it because Ubuntu does something 
different then /etc/X11/xorg.conf nowadays ;)

Forum does give answer yet. )
