size of word/document.xml

When I unzip a docx file and browse through the word/document.xml file, 
I see lots of things like:


w:rsidRDefault="" w:rsidRPr="" w14:paraId="004D">


all thorough the file.

Why not just write it like:



with a default value of "0" for missing attributes?
