[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40980] New: Libre office crashes as I type in Tamil
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40980 Summary: Libre office crashes as I type in Tamil Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.3 release Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: medium Component: Libreoffice AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: may...@gmail.com Created an attachment (id=51306) --> (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=51306) Screen shots I'm using Windows 7 with libre office. When I type in English it types without any problem. When I type in Tamil or even when I copy paste Tamil script from internet (ta.wikipedia.org) LibreOffice crashes. When I start the libre office again it invokes the recovery but it has not recovered any of the texts which I typed so far. I'm not sure this occures for other Indic languages too. I observed same behavior in spreadsheet and other applications too. copied following text from window's crash report Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BEX Application Name:soffice.bin Application Version:3.4.302.500 Application Timestamp:4e54357a Fault Module Name:MSVCR90.dll Fault Module Version:9.0.30729.5570 Fault Module Timestamp:4d2c14d2 Exception Offset:0006ccd5 Exception Code:c417 Exception Data: OS Version:6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID:1033 Additional Information 1:6ed2 Additional Information 2:6ed208ae2f5227a80a5c1817a0f17349 Additional Information 3:8a24 Additional Information 4:8a2435014763a88c09afe0f392c40890 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40975] New: Add "differentiation" function to Calc
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40975 Summary: Add "differentiation" function to Calc Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: franciscoadriansanc...@gmail.com Well, I was thinking last night about this feature. And I think it could be very useful. For those who don't know what I'm talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerical_differentiation It could work *only* on cells with formulaes, in this way: Supose A1 = 5 B1 = 6 C1 = 2.5 D1= A1*B1^2*ln(C1) = 164.93 then, one could add de "diff" function A2 = diff(D1,A1) = 32.99 (becase the result should be the evaluation of B1^2*ln(C1)) B2 = diff(D1,B1) = 54.98 (because the result should be 2*A1*B1*ln(C1) and so on... And it doesn't need to end there, there could be higher order derivatives, for example B3 = diff(D1,B1,2) = 9.16 (= 2*A1*ln(C1) ) C3 = diff(D1,C1,3) = 3.84 (2*A1*B1/C1^3) What do you think? I'm one of those who would like to have this feature a lot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40974 Summary: Reordering slides by dragging is not straightforward Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.3 release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Presentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: tho...@mitterfellner.at When I try to drag a slide (in the left pane in normal mode) to a different position, I get a stop sign (which obviously indicates the slide can't be dropped) and no animation indicating the new slide position is shown. However, when I continue dragging the slide outside of the left pane and then back into the pane, the slide can be inserted, i.e. the dragging cursor changes when the slide can be inserted and the "insert-here-animation" is shown. I was using the 3.4.3 x86_64 rpm release as downloaded from libreoffice.org (on openSUSE 11.4 with java-sun jre1.6.0) I was told that this behaviour doesn't occur with a .deb x86 release. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40963] New: Writer crashes on exit
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40963 Summary: Writer crashes on exit Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.2 release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: akou...@gmail.com Created an attachment (id=51288) --> (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=51288) log LO 3.4.2 crash on exiting, OpenSUSE 11.4 x64 On LO 3.4.2 on OpenSUSE 11.4 x64 (OOO340m1 (Build:1206)) and LO 3.4.3 on Windows 7 x64 I get a crash upon exiting (log attached and on pastebin : http://pastebin.com/yrWTBtAk) when working with a big file (800+ pages long, 10Mo, illustrations, lots of zotero references inserted, etc) : # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x, pid=6220, tid=140008611702560 # # JRE version: 6.0_26-b03 # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (20.1-b02 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C 0x # # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit: # http://java.sun.com/webapps/bugreport/crash.jsp I had no problems with LO 3.3.X, and since I reverted to LO 3.3.1, the problem disappeared with the very same file. With other files, newly created within LO 3.4.2 or older and "lighter" ones, no problem. Steps to reproduce the crash : 1. Open this big .odt file 2. Let LO run for a few minutes 3. close. When executed again, writer will successfully recover the file, and the crash is reproducible straight away. Note that the crash wont occur if I open this big file, do minor editing (say add a spacing somewhere), save and close right away. I have to let LO run for a while. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40893] [TABLES] dragging and dropping a table leaves a empty table behind
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40893 winelauncher.jonat...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status Whiteboard||CONFIRMED --- Comment #9 from winelauncher.jonat...@gmail.com 2011-09-17 04:55:18 PDT --- There is documentation right in the Gui. Reproduce the bug, then hit the "edit" menu and you will see "undo move: multiple selection". Note that it says move, not copy. Try selecting the table plus at least one other line. Now drag it, and the table will be moved, not copied. Check the edit menu, and it will have recorded that manoeuvre as "move:paragraph" This is inconsistent behaviour, and inconsistent behaviour is a bug. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 39325] Offline Help installation fails

It also applies to version 3.4.3 On Windows (tested on Vista), with a locale of UK. Install LO and the GB helppack into default locations. The LO install sets the User interface to English (USA). This prevents the offline GB help file from being used. The workaround is. Load LO and goto Tools/options/Language settings/Languages change the User interface from English (USA) to Default - English (UK) check that the locale is also set to Deafult - English (UK) close LO and reopen F1 will now load the offline GB help files previously installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This script will quite always guess the same environment variables. Moreover, guessing those values is time consuming. I think we could cache the below environment settings into a /var/lib/libreoffice/basis3.3/program/environment.sh file: - FILE_LOCKING=auto OPENGL_SUPPORT=no SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING=1 SAL_NOOPENGL=true JITC_PROCESSOR_TYPE=6 sd_cwd=/usr/lib/libreoffice/program sd_binary=/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/oosplash.bin - Those environment settings could be calculated again by a package manager trigger.
