[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44385] New: BASIC: Incorrect type returned for date math
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44385 Bug #: 44385 Summary: BASIC: Incorrect type returned for date math Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: and...@pitonyak.org Problem description: DateValue(Now + 2) fails in a macro because Now + 2 returns as a double rather than as a date. The same is true for Now - 2. This bug was introduced by Noel Power 06-Dec-2010 with commit 1421b098ae19a10acb4836fa3752188cf7c52eb2 (thank you Regina for looking that up for me, I do not know how to check that) The problem is found in file: core/basic/source/sbx/sbxvalue.cxx There is a switch statement around line 1312. Following the switch statement, there used to be the following code: // #45465 Date braucht bei + eine Spezial-Behandlung if( eOp == SbxPLUS (GetType() == SbxDATE || rOp.GetType() == SbxDATE ) ) aL.eType = SbxDATE; I am not an expert on these things, but, it looks like the checks to see if either operand is a date, and, if so, sets the type to be date. This was done after PLUS, EXP, MUL, DIV, MINUS, and NEG. That line was removed and added after PLUS as a comment, so, I assume that NOEL was unsure why it was required. Still waiting on input from NOEL. I speculate that this was done as part of clean-up because this check was performed every time. Off hand, I can not think of why you might do this for anything other than PLUS or MINUS, but, this breaks existing macros. so I would call this a regression bug. I reproduced this on a Fedora Linux system (64-bit), but, I expect this to affect all platforms. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steps for reproduction: * create a rectangle with the basic shapes menu * open the styles and formatting menu (F11) * modify default style * select shadowing tab and check use shadow You can also create a new style, which base on the default one. The expacted behavior is that you can see a simple shadow below the rectangle. Another weird behavior is, when you disable the shadow over the format-area menu you get a simple shadow. Although no shadow should be visible, now. This bug is not triggered, when you add the shadow over the format-area menu, or when you use another shape. Also this bug did not occure with version 3.4.3. I can only reproduce it with 3.4.4 (both are release version, on windows and Linux) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44389] New: UI: Certain cursor move and range selection keyboard shortcuts do not work when entering formulae
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44389 Bug #: 44389 Summary: UI: Certain cursor move and range selection keyboard shortcuts do not work when entering formulae Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: edmund_ey...@hotmail.com LibO on Windows XP. You can use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Arrow to move in any of the four arrow directions to the end of the current data range, and Ctrl+Shift+Arrow to select from the current cell to the end of the data range. You would expect this to work when entering a formula: the formula-editing process allows you to move to and select cells whose references are then inserted into the formula. However, when entering a formula, none of Ctrl+Down Arrow, Ctrl+Up Arrow, Ctrl+Shift+Down Arrow and Ctrl+Shift+Up Arrow work correctly: they move to or select to the edge of the spreadsheet, not the end of the data range. Strangely, all of Ctrl+Left Arrow, Ctrl+Right Arrow, Ctrl+Shift+Left Arrow and Ctrl+Shift+Right Arrow do all work correctly: they move to or select to the end of the data range. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I described them here together because I guess that there is close relation between these two bugs. Steps in order to reproduce the bug Editing: [1] Create a new text document. [2] Insert a table. [3] Disable option Display Tables. The table is replaced by a grey box, the content of the table is no longer visible. Comment: This box is not really a bug, but to my opinion it is not satisfying. A display similar to a non-displayed graphics would be better. [4] Click into different cells of the non-displayed table and type in characters. The text cursor and several lines and boxes are displayed during this action! The typed-in characters are not displayed but they are inserted into the non-displayed table. You can view it if you enable the display of tables again. A nice feature, but surely not intended! Steps in order to reproduce the bug Remains: [1] Create a new text document. [2] Insert a table. [3] Disable option Display Tables. The table is replaced by a grey box, the content of the table is no longer visible. [4] Remains of UI elements (lines and boxes) are left under different conditions inside the non-displayed table: (a) Open a context menu (right-click) so that this menu is displayed above the table and close it again. (b) Scroll down the document with the mouse wheel, so that the table is no longer visible and scroll up again. (c) Scroll down and up by using the scroll bar (slowly). (d) Move the table to the top of the working area. Select an item of the menu bar and move the mouse pointer along the menu bar, so that the displayed menus change and are displayed above the table. (e) Enable the option Tips (Tools - Options - LibreOffice - General - Help), if disabled. Move the mouse pointer above the non-displayed table (slowly). Tips relating to the non-displayed table are displayed! Remains of the tip boxes remain visible. Guessing or suggestions to use US English is not appropriate because we receive files in every possible combination of separators, e.g, space or apostroph as thousands separator and comma or dot as a decimal separator. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44399] New: UI: Format Cells dialog displays misleading value for 'Decimal places'
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44399 Bug #: 44399 Summary: UI: Format Cells dialog displays misleading value for 'Decimal places' Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: edmund_ey...@hotmail.com LibO on Windows XP. When you open the Format Cells dialog for a cell you have not previously formatted, the 'Format' is preselected as General, and the 'Decimal places' is preselected as 0. This is contradictory: the General format has no defined number of decimal places, and will display as many decimal places as the value has that is in the cell (up to a point). Furthermore this presentation may lead the user to think that he/she can set the decimal places to zero just by pressing Return on this dialog presented in this state, but this, of course, does not set the decimal places. I would suggest that this dialog contains a blank value for 'Decimal places' when 'Format' is General. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44400] New: UI: Ruler is not Left-aligned back, when the Enhanced Language Support is Disabled
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44400 Bug #: 44400 Summary: UI: Ruler is not Left-aligned back, when the Enhanced Language Support is Disabled Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: harald-koes...@htp-tel.de Problem description: Steps in order to reproduce the bug: [1] Create a new text document. [2] Enable option Enhanced language support for Asian languages (Tools - Options - Language Settings - Languages - Enhanced language support - Enabled for Asian languages). [3] Enable Option Right-aligned ruler (Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - View - View). The ruler is on the right side of the working are and the scroll bar on the left side. [4] Disable option Enhanced language support for Asian languages again. The ruler is still on the right side and the scroll bar is still on the left side. At this point I expect, that the ruler and the scroll bar change back their positions. Hence the Option Right-aligned ruler is no longer displayed in the View category of the Writer options, it is also not possible to enable this option.
