[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45360] New: FILESAVE: Saving and loading a presentation results in formatting changes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45360 Bug #: 45360 Summary: FILESAVE: Saving and loading a presentation results in formatting changes Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Presentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: josephsonjunct...@gmail.com Problem description: When I create a presentation, and specifically one from the slide designs, add content, save it, close impress and then reopen the file - the formatting (font, bullet shape) of the slides change. Specifically, the sub item formatting in the list (title, content layout) changes. Steps to reproduce: 1. open impress, next on empty presentation 2. choose noise paper presentation background and create 3. add a title, content type slide 4. add some items and sub-items (with tab) 5. notice font and bullet shape of sub-items (bullet is a brown dash) 6. save, close impress 7. reopen impress, open file. 8. notice sub-item formatting (bullet now black dot, font changed) I have attached a sample file, with 2 pdfs: one exported RIGHT AFTER THE SAVE, and one exported RIGHT AFTER RELOAD. Notice differences in slide 2 sub-items Current behavior: the reopened presentation is different than the saved one Expected behavior: the reopened presentation is the identical to the saved one Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Ubuntu; X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

LibreOffice comes with its own libeay32.dll in Installdir/program, but that is not used. My system is a german WinXP Pro SP3, but this should happen on almost all newer Windows versions beginning with XP SP2, because: On newer Windows Microsoft introduced the safe DLL search mode (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms682586%28v=vs.85%29.aspx), which is ON by default on everything newer than XP SP1, and this puts the local directory later in the search path to circumvent certain security concerns especially with web servers. For local programs to be able to load their own DLLs they have to issue a SetDllDirectory call (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms686203(v=vs.85).aspx) before loading the dynamic libraries. soffice.bin seems not to do so, however it should. There is a (severe?) security issue connected: when an attacker successfully places a rogue dll anywhere in the default dll search path (or adds the directory with his rogue dll to this path before soffice starts), soffice will happily load the attackers dll and not its own safe version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40141 --- Comment #15 from ADB a...@marybantick.com 2012-01-29 04:11:38 PST --- Created attachment 56285 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=56285 IMPRESS presentation - also fails Try this version of the file as well In the past 10 minutes or so I have opened this file on three occasions, and it has 'crashed' on me each time. This is different from my previous example upload of the file as I have done no actions on the file - all I wanted to do was continue editing it but when I scroll down using the mouse or page down using the page keys, it gets to about slide 10 and then hangs up. To recover I then have to do a FORCE QUIT, so the top left options are still 'live' (the X, _ and [square] at the top left of the screen for Ubuntu). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45371 Bug #: 45371 Summary: url corrupted when adding a word in the cell Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.5 release Platform: All OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: jbf.fa...@orange.fr Step to reproduce: - open a new spreadsheet - in a cell type an url, for example http://something.com; - click outside the cell - the url is automatically transformed in an hyperlink - select the cell and click in the formula bar - add several characters *starting with a dot*, for example: .test - validate what happens : the hyperlink is changed in httestt://something.com. what is expected : the hyperlink is not corrupted. An user (ubuntu 11.10) has the same problem if the url modification is done directly in the cell. It seems that the bug does not affect KDE users, nor MS-Windows users. No bug if automatic url recognition is disabled. From my side I encounter this bug with LO 3.4.5 (ubuntu and vanilla versions) and LO 3.5.0 rc2+ (LibreOffice 3.5.0rc2+ Version ID : 20ec7c1-ed94322-5cd2479-2386a41-138191a) Best regards. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42543 --- Comment #18 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu 2012-01-29 08:19:35 PST --- OK, the code path that leads to the SQL exception is: switch (m_nCommandType) { case CommandType::TABLE: { (...) } break; case CommandType::QUERY: { Reference XQueriesSupplier xQueriesAccess(m_xActiveConnection, UNO_QUERY); if (xQueriesAccess.is()) { if (xQueries-hasByName(m_aCommand)) { (...) } else { String sMessage( DBACORE_RESSTRING( RID_STR_QUERY_DOES_NOT_EXIST ) ); sMessage.SearchAndReplaceAscii( $table$, m_aCommand ); throwGenericSQLException(sMessage,*this); } } } My guess is that in the example you test on, Adresse is a table and not a query, so m_nCommandType should be CommandType::TABLE, but it is CommandType::QUERY. So now the interesting question is: where is that value of m_nCommandType set, and why is it set incorrectly? Probably somewhere a call to setPropertyValue(PROPERTY_COMMAND_TYPE). This also suggests that it might work if one selects a query, and not a table in step 1 of the query wizard. To be tested. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I have just checked and confirmed this on LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:1403) under openSUSE 12.1. It occurs when saving a file as XLS. You can save the file with a password of sixteen or more characters without incident, however when you try then to open it with the same = 16 character password it complains that the password is incorrect. However, if you only enter the first fifteen characters then it opens correctly. = You are correct that this does not occur if the file has been saved as an ODS. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45376 Bug #: 45376 Summary: [FORMATTING] Incorrect text wrapping around drawing shapes (depending on zoom level) Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.0 RC2 Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: openoff...@schierla.de When using a drawing shape with contour page wrapping, the text is wrapped around a virtual object left or right of the shape after changing zoom level and entering page preview (or printing / PDF export). Steps to reproduce: 1. Add some text to a writer document 2. Draw a rectangle somewhere (right half of page) on the text 3. Switch the rectangle's wrapping to page wrap (this will automatically enable contour wrapping) 4. Zoom out a bit (make sure the entire page width is visible, and the page is centered) 5. Switch to page preview Expected result: Text wraps around the rectangle Actual Result: Text wraps around a white space left of the rectangle -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45381] New: FORMATTING: Incorrect Detection of CTL Script (Khmer)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45381 Bug #: 45381 Summary: FORMATTING: Incorrect Detection of CTL Script (Khmer) Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.5 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: sungk...@gmail.com Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Copy (or manually write) this text into Writer: This is English text. «ហើយគ្លានេះជាភាសាខ្មែរ។» Current behavior: All punctuation marks are detected as English rather than Khmer, regardless of what keyboard layout was used to type them, and regardless of the Khmer characters immediately after or before the punctuation marks. Currently there is no way to use a Khmer font for punctuation marks unless a Khmer font is also chosen as the western font - which inhibits multilingual documents because Khmer punctuation marks are positioned slightly differently than they are in western fonts - so the punctuation looks slightly off if a font such as Times New Roman is used for punctuation rather than Khmer font such as Battambang. This error also hampers grammar checkers such as LanguageTool which use the LibreOffice language detection for various grammatical rules (so some rules for Khmer are broken). Expected behavior: LibreOffice should detect punctuation around Khmer Unicode to also be in the Khmer language. Or at least allow the user to over-ride and change the language of the punctuation to Khmer (currently punctuation cannot be changed to the Khmer language because punctuation is seen as Western, and Khmer is CTL).
