Presenter console is awesome alternative for paper notes because it always on secondary screen and it automatically changes with slides. But all notes text formatting is ignored. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch slide show on dual screen system. Slides will appear on one screen, presenter console on another. 2. Turn on notes displaying. 3. It was able to do, pressing alt key and drag with the mouse. Be careful, I am saying simmetrically, not proportionally. Today, under linux, I have found that when I do this, LO window become smaller, either it be a text object or a drawing object (ellipse, square, etc.) Under windows, it can only stretch drawing objects, did not work on text objects. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47821 Bug #: 47821 Summary: text in draw does not fit to frame Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Drawing AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: merkurspo...@yahoo.com First,I have to apologize for my poor English, because I am not a native English spoken, but I will try to do my best to be understandable. Since I have used OpenOffice under linux, there is a trouble with trying to stretch text to frame. Before, under windows, text adjusted to frame will be able to stretch dynamically in any direction and any size. Meanwhile, under linux, a text frame only can be stretched by steps, alike when you fit against grid, and moreover to be right, this text frame cannot be stretched, it can only be deformed proportionally by steps. More exactly, the frame can be stretched, but text inside did not follow the frame, only by steps. Another thing, when a picture created under windows is opened under linux, text objects works well. Moreover when this text object is pasted into another draw it works well too. But today, I have found that both versions, linux and windows, did not work well at this point. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47807] New: Style changes not undoing from icon and feature request.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47807 Bug #: 47807 Summary: Style changes not undoing from icon and feature request. Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.1 Release Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: ski...@alum.mit.edu This report is both a bug(s) and an enhancement request. The basic bug: If you change a style from from the style editor any change you make can not be undone by the icons. Steps: 1. Create a blank writer document. 2. Modify a child style (for example Footer) by making any change (for example change the font to 20pt). 3. Select "Apply". 4. Go to the "Organizer" tab of the dialog and notice that "Contains" field is blank (THIS IS BUG #1, which I can confirm on WinXP32 right now). As the "Apply" button is new to LO3.5 I don't think I would call that a regression. 5. Now select "OK" or "Cancel". 6. Modify that child style again (i.e. Footer). 7. Go to the "Organizer" tab. Note that "Contains" field has the change(s) you made (i.e. 20pt font size). 8. Close the dialog selecting "Cancel" 9. Note that the undo icon does not have record of this change (THIS IS BUG #2). 10. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Undo: Change style: Footer". This will reset the style change that was made, which is correct functionality (fixed from LO3.4). If you have a style that has been changed from the parent there does not, AFAICT, appear to be a method to revert back to parent (other than undo which does not help you if editing an previously saved document). If I say have in the past changed the font size of Footer to 20PT and Default is 12PT there is no way to relink the font size back to the the "Linked with". I can manually change back to 12PT it does not reestablish the link. So this is the ENHANCEMENT request (there maybe better implementations but here is one example): Next to every items in the "Contains" field have a "x" in a circle that you could click on it to reset that items link back to the parent in the organization. For example it would read: "(x)Western text: 20pt + (x)0.0 inch + (x)Indent left 0.2inch, First line..." whereever (x) is an "x" in a circle and if you click on it that link is reset back to parent and item is removed from the list. An alternative implementation is to program item level resets for each item on all the tabs (this seems like more coding to me). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45694] Alignment of MathType equations
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45694 --- Comment #3 from Pierre Farrugia 2012-03-24 07:44:04 PDT --- Hi, Thank you for your reply. If I understood right you suggest that - Format one equation as I would like it - Create a new style (say X) from the formatted equation - Apply style X to any new equation that I create I have tried to follow the above procedure and I have encountered the following problems: - Proper style can depend on the equation. For example when there is a fraction the style 123 that you have provided does not yield the optimal setting. This means that multiple styles need to be created depending on what is contained within the equation. If the number of styles increases substantially you can loose track to what each style can refer to making a copy and paste procedure of an already formatted equation more feasible. (I have adopted this procedure thus far.) - I could not transfer properly the provided style 123 to a new document. - What I had to do was to edit an equation using style 123 - Copy the edited equation to the new document - Create style 123 in the new document from the equation The style was now available in the new document (but only in that document). However, it did not work properly and started stretching the equations I wanted to format. The same thing suddenly started happening in the document you sent me. Have no idea what went wrong. Hope this feedback helps and thank you for your assistance and good work. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47325] : Existing Base reports won't open in LibreOffice 3.5
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47325 --- Comment #1 from Ian~G 2012-03-24 05:42:06 PDT --- same here on linux (ubuntu 11.10) with reports created on openoffice 3.2.1 under linux (ubuntu 10.04 lts) also same on libreoffice 3.5.1 also existing reports did not run on libreoffice 3.4.5 i also agree your views on report-builder. it is very klunky - once you have figured out where the wizard templates live and have edited the errors out of them, the wizard works very well for rapid report creation. in terms of upgrading, this is a show-stopper for me as an office front-end to our MySQL database is essential to running our uk charity and my carefully crafted reports won't run on libreoffice. it is also not possible to re-create them. ie create new ones, due to bug 47473. we will not be able to upgrade ubuntu 10.04 lts to 12.04 lts until these problems are fixed as deploying openoffice 3.3 under unity is rather painful. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
