Winfried Donkers, I do not agree with this being a duplicate of bug 44398, nor
do I agree with bug 44398 being accepted as a valid report for that matter
based on the title.

Many, purposefully or ignorantly, make wide-scoped "fix everything about a
feature set" reports, as 44398's title is, and your subsequent comment
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44398#c2 . This makes a report
less likely to be resolved quickly.

However, this (43107) report is targeted, specific, and detailed.

Please do not toggle this report further unless you are submitting a patch.
Thank you.

@reporter:
Thank you for your report – unfortunately all relevant information is missing.
May be hints on will help you to
find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you
believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing
list
Please:
- Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
- Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing
sample document in an other Bug with a link.
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every
mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431)
– if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
- add information
-- what EXACTLY is unexpected (You hear a voice barring the operation? Item
fpr particular file format is missing in export dialog?)
-- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
  -- concerning your PC
-- concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language)
-- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release)
and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
–- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
-- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
-- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts

Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new
information might bring the breakthrough.

May be you can test for submitting
bug reports?

This already looks great. Are you interested in helping prevent such errors in
the future? You saw how easy it is to add a test case. They will be used for
in-build tests checking that formulas are calculated correctly.

If you send the file to libreoffice...@lists.freedesktop.org with the license

the commit.

Thanks for your help. Fix will be in 3.6 and maybe in 3.5.4

Espero alguien pueda leer esto;

1.- He estado probando LibreOffice 3.5.3, y he encontrado un serio problema con

Guillermo

After thinking a bit this one is most likely related to my note storage rework.
I must have missed one place where we now have to copy broadcasters and
therefore we are using a deleted broadcaster.
Broadcasters for cells have been stored in ScNoteCells which are now more or
less unused. I will need to think a bit about this one. There must been an non
obvious case that I missed.

Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice

  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: jmei...@worldimpact.org

Problem description: It is redundant and unnecessary to type in the MySQL
password when viewing a table linked by ODBC to a remote table. The ODBC
connection already hold the credentials for the database.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a .odb file linked to a remote MySQL database through ODBC
2. Click on "Tables"

Current behavior:
A prompt appears for MySQL password to be entered

Expected behavior:
Tables may be viewed without a password

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 32531] EasyHack: Incorrect cursor key movement between table cells of different directionality

2012-05-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #9 from Gábor Stefanik 2012-05-06
17:20:05 PDT ---
Seems like this is not just about table cells - it happens whenever the cursor
crosses a boundary between LTR and RTL paragraphs / text runs.

Interestingly, it doesn't trigger with RTL words in an otherwise LTR paragraph
- the cursor does move right when the Left key is pressed inside the RTL word,
but it doesn't get trapped on the boundary.

I have an idea what is going wrong here. Albert's rework switched to a
temporary variable for ScSortParam which might hide the changed settings.

I will look into this one.

@Rainer: You might cc me in all bugs related to database and named ranges
except if they are also related to pivot tables.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49562] New: Ordered Lists in Master Document are mis-numbered

2012-05-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49562

 Bug #: 49562
Summary: Ordered Lists in Master Document are mis-numbered
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
  Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: david.burle...@gmx.com

Created attachment 61110
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=61110
Test case described in the bug report.

When a Master Document includes multiple embedded documents that contain
ordered lists, the first ordered list is numbered properly, but lists in
subsequent embedded documents are misnumbered, or numbered when they are
supposed to be bulleted lists.

This error occurs when the Master Document is first opened, importing its
embedded documents. But if you then open the Navigator and update the embedded
documents whose lists are rendered incorrectly, then these same lists are
rendered correctly (without changing anything in the source documents).

The attached zip file contains a sample master document (TestMasterDoc.odm)
that imports three source documents (Chapter 1.odt, Chapter 2.odt, and Chapter
3.odt), each of which contains a list. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 contain ordered
lists, while Chapter 3 contains a bulleted list.

Just open the master document and you will see that the first ordered list is
correct, but the lists in Chapters 2 and 3 are wrong.

Then open the Navigator panel and update Chapter 2, and you will see that its
ordered list is now corrected. Update Chapter 3, and you will see that its
bulleted list is corrected.

This is a very tiresome bug because it means that every time I open a master
document because of revisions in embedded source documents, I have to then open
the Navigator and update every source document that contains a list. I am using
the master document facility to manage books with dozens of chapters, so it is
a very tedious process to make up for this glaring bug.

Screen shot of what it should look like.

I am using Windows 7 x64, Libreoffice 3.5.3.

I created a Impress document where I set the Footer of the Master to have a
font of Stencil. Edit Master. The footer has 4 lines, all centered. The first
line is set in STENCIL font, 10 point. The second, third, and forth line are
set in Times New Roman, 10.5 point. In addition, the Third and Forth line has
the Character > Scaling (Scaling Width) set to 110%. Close Master. Save the
document.

Now, open up the Impress document, and you will find that the Footer has lost
its formatting.

This is a showstopper for me.

First thank you for your feedback.
About the backtrace, you haven't installed the debug package. I think it may be
:
libreoffice-dbg

Then to have the backtrace, the beginning was good, but before quitting gdb
with "q", you should have typed "backtrace full" and copy paste the result of
it.

About Java, go to the menu "Toos", then "Options", then "Libreoffice" and
finally "Java".

About extensions, if you haven't installed anything, don't bother with it.

About your comment lost when you clicked on "Add an attachment", it's normal.
Add a comment is just to add a comment as indicated. "Add an attachment" allows
to attach a file + let a comment.

Well, we shouldn't have four columns, we should have only two in the first
place.

So rather than have a lingering open bug which we can't reliably reproduce
which is happening in a set of circumstances which should never have some to
pass lets fix the four-columns-should-be-two and presume that the Heisenbug
wouldn't come to pass in the correct two-column scenario.

Especially as the reason its a four-column .docx is fairly straightforward
problem, though maybe not-trivial to fix without loosing some other fix.

I don't reproduce this on pc Debian x86-64, with 3.5 branch updated today (so
not exactly 3.5.3) and master branch (future 3.6).
However, I noticed this on console :
warn:legacy.tools:16773:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo_3_5/vcl/inc/svdata.hxx:439:
object deleted while in use in both case!

Could you try to follow the advice of this link to have a useful backtrace :

(the reporter's crash report is quite weird, it's just some network logs).

I don't know what extent of cleanness we have to demand from bug-reports ...
For me this one is clean enough. :) So - hopefully fixed now.

My commit enlarges the "Available language modules" list so that it now
contains *2* entries and is well scrollable. The Mac OS X scrollbar problem
should disappear, but I can't test on Mac OS X.

And... resizable windows will be a feature of the future LibO versions I
think... :)

I see the effect with "LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 (RC2) German UI/Locale [Build-ID:

can reach text contents via Navigator or after having clicked frame border with
. But there is no way to reach the text contents dirctly using mouse after
frame border has been selected.

That woks better for DRAW rectangles / shapes and DRAW text boxes as you see in
my modified sample document. I believe selecting in text box should be possible
in the same way as for the DRAW objects.

I can't believe that we should not already have a report for this.

I do not know if it is possible to convert this PDF 1.6 file to PDF/A-1a. My
question was motivated by the fact that PDF 1.6 is, AFAIK, not the standardized

Raphael Frey, here is the problem with trying to correctly triage this bug:

1) Your downstream bug is completely different then this upstream one. In the
downstream, you are requesting the ability to resize the window (ENHANCEMENT),
and noting you are having a UI bug in Linux.

2) Here you include all that, plus a similar but potentially different UI
problem on the Mac platform.

3) All totaled, you have at least 1 bug and an ENHANCEMENT.

Please re-file this bug, one for the ENHANCEMENT, one for the problem on Linux,
and one for the problem on Mac. Thank you for your understanding in this.

Better way could be:
(3) Change the wizard. Create the primary key at the first page. Looks like
this:
0 Create primary key
  Name for new field: [(textfield)]
Name of field of the table: [(listbox with fields)]

Creating the primary key of existing fields at the third page of the wizard and
of new fileds at the first page of the wizard isn't very intuitive. Hiding the
creating of a primary key for existing fields in the third page in a
kontext-menue for only this command is a good way user may not find it.

build_error.log

I followed steps from here:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Native_Build
1) git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core libo
2) cd libo
3) /autogen.sh --with-num-cpus=6 --with-max-jobs=6 --without-junit

Oh dear - something failed during the build - sorry !
For more help with debugging build errors, please see the section in:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49555] New: EDITING: Can not select text into a frame, with wrap:through and "in background" option

2012-05-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon

 Bug #: 49555
Summary: EDITING: Can not select text into a frame, with
wrap:through and "in background" option
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: saveb...@gmail.com

Created attachment 61105
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=61105
The sample file where I followed the above procedure

It is not possible to select the text into a textbox, when the frame wrap
status is "through", the "in background" option is selected and after having
resized it.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new document
2. Insert a frame by clicking Insert->Frame... and the OK button
3. write something in the textbox frame
4. right-click on the frame and select the wrap->through->in background option
6. resize the frame
7. try to select again the text into the frame.

Current behavior:
The only way to select again the text is to uncheck the "in background" option
from the textbox dialog.

Expected behavior:

Hmmm, why not use master document? Master document is designed for this kind of
use.

That said, I reproduce the described behavior with the master (Build ID:
32af02b) under Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49554] New: Misleading error message about primary key on first page of table import wizard

2012-05-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49554

 Bug #: 49554
Summary: Misleading error message about primary key on first
page of table import wizard
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.3.0 Beta2
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Database
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

When you import a Calc table to a database, for example with drag&drop to the
table container, then the Wizard "Copy Table" starts.
On the first page you can check "Create Primary Key" and enter an identifier in
the field 'Name'. If you enter a column name (for example 'Ident') of the Calc
table, you get the error message "The following fields have already been set as
primary keys: Ident"

This error message is misleading, because it says, that the column 'Ident' has
already been set as primary key. But that is not the case. If you will use an
existing column as primary key, you have to set it on the third page of that
wizard.

The source code in dbaccess/source/ui/misc/WCPage.cxx has a correct commend "//
now we have to check if the name of the primary key already exists" but uses
the unsuitable string STR_WIZ_PKEY_ALREADY_DEFINED.

I think, that two improvements are possible and needed
(1)
Define a new string for the error message.
For example, "Enter a unique name for the new primary key data field. The
following name is already in use: ..."
(2)
Change the description in the wizard, so that the user does no longer thinks,
he can make an existing columns to a primary key with this check box. For
example, "Create new data field for primary key." instead of "Create primary
key"

So in your case the error message may apply to OpenOffice executable which has
the same name as LibreOffice one. Close OpenOffice and its quickstart and
restart LibreOffice installer.

Does that help to reduce redundant style tags?

NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 (RC2) German UI/Locale [Build-ID:
235ab8a-3802056-4a8fed3-2d66ea8-e241b80] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit),
opening from Mien 'File -> Open (LibO dialog) works fine.

Also works fine with Master and 3.5.0RC2
