the file

The attached file is rendered correctly by Firefox as a square outlined in blue
and filled in orange. It is rendered incorrectly by LibreOffice, which outlines
it in blue but does not fill it.

This is due to the "move" SVG path command which follows the close path command
"Z". If this move command is removed, the shape is rendered correctly.

Not a valid bug report, too much info missing. And looks like a user error, of
course such a modification does not affect all cell borders, but only the ones
selected that the change should be applied

@reporter:
Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing.
May be hints on will help you to
find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you
believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing
list
Please:
- Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
- Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing
sample document in an other Bug with a link.
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every
key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
(similar to example in Bug 43431)
– if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
- add information
  -- what EXACTLY is unexpected
-- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
-- concerning your PC (video card, ...)
-- concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language)
-- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release)
and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
–- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
(video hardware acceleration ...)
-- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
-- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts

Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new
information might bring the breakthrough.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47598] Allow to use italics and bold in (alphabetical) index

2012-06-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47598

--- Comment #3 from Marek Laane 2012-06-16 16:47:49 PDT ---
Well, as I have very rare Word user I probably erred in saying there is such
direct option. But as explained in
http://www.word-2010.com/insert-an-index-in-microsoft-word-2010/ (second image)
there still is a possibility to have entry text in bold, italics or essentially
in any way font dialog just allows. AFAIK LO doesnät allow it so far. But it
would be quite useful if you have in index e.g. foreign words or something else
what should have different appearance.

--- Comment #3 from Marek Laane 2012-06-16 16:36:42 PDT ---
Well, I can't provide example document because, hmm, LO doesn't allow that so
far :-)
But I can describe the problem. In my last translation I encountered just such
example, where there was some entries with four levels in the index. E.g.

German army (Heer)
   Armies
  I Army
 in Moscow battle
  II Army
 in Moscow battle
   Divisions
  204 Division

and so on, hopefully you get it. I can even imagine more levels but anyway, so
far LO allows maximally only three levels, so in such cases I have to tell
layout people to create them manyally ... Not that it would be hard for them
but it surely would be nice to have a chance to to it myself.

No crash when opening the file saved as RTF by LO 3.5.4.2 with LO 3.5.4.2, LO

But indeed the layout is different, perhaps RTF export creates sections to
manage page styles changes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51160] New: : creating or updating graphs ALWAYS have MINUTES of delay!

Using LibreOffice 3.5.4.2
Build ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18
on a 15" mid-2010 MacBookPro under OS X 10.6.8

Problem description:
Just converted some files from Mac Microshaft Oriface 2004 Excel to LO Calc.
One is a 9800-row daily spreadsheet including several columns of different
numeric data.
When attempting to create an entirely new graph of a 2x9800 array of date &
xxx.x decimal data, it took maybe 4-8 MINUTES to struggle through every single
click or character entered in the graph parameters!
Also took the same amount of time on every scheduled interim backup.
The Mac's Activity Monitor showed that, for much of that time, LO was "not
responding". However, eventually it DID respond - and completed the desired
task. Eventually.
In comparison, Excel from The Evil Empire was always quite efficient, even with
these "very large" spreadsheets.
Even before trying to create this graph of "large" data, interim auto-saves and
a commanded or closing save took perhaps 15 seconds.
Worse still, these humongous delays also occur even in creating or updating
graphs of much smaller 2D datasets - e.g. this year by day x daily closing
dollar-amount.

Steps to reproduce:
Simply changing a single datum in the array being graphed.
Or changing a single character of a single parameter of the graph (e.g.,
line-width).

Current behavior:
As described above.

Expected behavior:
MUCH less turgid! NO "not responding" periods - especially not when followed,
eventually, by some kind of response and [eventual] task completion.

Platform (if different from the browser):
Not sure how the browser is related to the platform running LibreOffice.

 Bug #: 51159
Summary: daily gerrit status mail to the developer list
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice

Status: UNCONFIRMED

It would be great to have a bot sending a daily mail to the developer list
about the state of patches open for review on gerrit. See:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/gerrit
for details. The more patches are received directly on gerrit the better it
will be to have a good summary of what is waiting review there. In the long run
this will keep us informed about what is waiting for review without spamming
the list too much as we will get one mail daily and not one mail per patch.

Notice the value "2147483648".
I just wonder :
- Size type is defined at tools/inc/tools/gen.hxx with long variable
- in drawinglayer/source/processor2d/vclhelperbitmaprender.cxx, we can read :
 89 const Size aSize(
 90 basegfx::fround(aOutlineRange.getWidth()),
 91 basegfx::fround(aOutlineRange.getHeight()));

aOutlineRange uses double type variables and I don't know if the function
fround here basegfx/inc/basegfx/numeric/ftools.hxx is ok.

When saving a document in LO 3.5.4.2 the format of the double-bordered lines
will be overwritten with the new, much too big, format of lines. Calc in LO
3.5.4.2 destroys the old format - I have to reformat all tables with
double-bordered lines and only to use them in Calc 3.3.4.
Set the importance to high and critical - for me Calc 3.5.4.2 is now unusual.
Will delete this part of the programm.

The "only selection" option has no effect at present.
You can export a subset of presentation slides only by selecting
them in the slide sorter view. In such a case the selected subset
is exported independently by the "only selection" check box state.
So as the commit message says :
"the width and height attributes are exported with units (mm) for
the element when a *single* slide/page is exported"
that looks to me a good compromise.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51156] New: Not able to insert x error bars in a plot (only y error bars work)

2012-06-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51156

 Bug #: 51156
Summary: Not able to insert x error bars in a plot (only y
error bars work)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5 Daily
  Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium
 Component: Chart
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: raad.nas...@gmail.com

After making a scatter plot of x and y values, I right click the symbols of the
plot. A menu appears with the option "Insert y error bars". However, there is
no option to "Insert x error bars". This missing option would greatly enhance
the quality of LibreOffice Chart program. I frequently need to graph scatter
plot data with x and y error bars. A rectification to this issue would be
greatly appreciated.

This is my first ever bug report.
Thanks for all your great work.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49230] print dialog has multiple deficiencies

2012-06-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49230

--- Comment #1 from John 2012-06-16 08:17:44 PDT ---
That this is still an issue is sad.

I think it did improve slightly since a printer that is defined with two sided
defaults in CUPS can now be set to single sided in the print dialog, but most
of my printing is single sided. And the reverse is not true in LibreOffice; a
printer with single sided defaults cannot be set to two sided.

This may be in part that Brother, for some reason has two sided plain paper and
single sided plain paper for media. Why Brother does this, I have no idea, and
why two sided plain paper cannot be used for single sided printing is beyond
me. But those are questions for a bug at Brother.

As a work around, I have had to put in two definitions in CUPS for each duplex
printer; one for one sided default and one for 2 sided use. Certainly not the
ideal solution.

This is actually not a bug in LO itself, but in ImageMagick from Fedora 17.
I've been able to reproduce the bug with versions of LO from 3.4 and 3.5 too,
some of which I knew were working in Fedora 16. Calling /usr/bin/convert on the
attached .eps file, I get the exact same scaling problem.

One found serious bug by it is fixed with:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/cppunit/commit/?id=6ad5f9b35c32d696424f241530d3c0595c608c8a

Both make and make check should be compiled with -Weffc++ and the warnings
removed.

There are possibly also other nice gcc warnings that show some problems in the
code.

You'll find the cppunit repository at
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/cppunit

Compiling with -Weffc++ shows several warnings, some of them are only bad style
but some also show serious bugs.

It would be good to make cppunit warning free. Currently compiling with -Wall
-Wextra -Werror is already working and should be used as default.

In previous versions of LibreOffice the default PDF export folder was the same
as document's original folder. That's was logical. In the last 2-3 versions of
LibreOffice the default PDF export folder is the folder of the last PDF export.
Thus now it's very problematic to change the PDF export folder each time the
different document from different directory is opened and being exported.

It would be fine to restore previous PDF export behaviour. Or it would be even
better to be able to configure export folder behaviour for various users taste.

Crashing .odb project

Hi,

I am attaching part of my project, where the error can be reproduced.
It has been "anonymized". :)
Unnecessary tables and forms have been removed.

Here are steps to reproduce the problem (this is the way end-user will use this
app):
1. Open attached file, allow macro execution.
2. Go to "Forms", launch "People management" form
3. Choose any record in the left top grid (called "Ludzie Akademii")
4. Depending on the record you selected in step 3, one of the button in the
bottom left corner will be active: for editing or for creating new record in
TTTC table. Click the one which is active. New form opens.
5. Click the dropdown arrow next to the green field (date text box).
6. Choose with mouse any other day, the calendar hides.
7. Click on the grey background of the form.

BUG: LibreOffice crashes.

NOTE:
1. The same behavior can be observed when clicing on the dropdown of the white
date text box, with label "Data deklaracji członk.:"
2. If you click in step 7 on any other control, instead of the background, the
LO does not crashes.
3. The same can be seen when you open directly form "TTTC management", however,
opening this directly will not launch macros assigned to the buttons from step
4 - so be cautious.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any more info from my "dev"
environment.
My OS:
Windows 7 Professional, 64bit
LibreOffice 3.5.4.2
Build ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18

I have sources of LO, but I am afraid I am to weak to set up debuggin
environment. :/ Any help greatly welcome.
