[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55076] New: CRASH Deleting multi-cell selection containing computed cell based on a computed cell (Mac OS X 10.7.4)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55076 Bug #: 55076 Summary: CRASH Deleting multi-cell selection containing computed cell based on a computed cell (Mac OS X 10.7.4) Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.6.1.2 release Platform: Other OS/Version: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: ernstke+freedesktopbugzi...@gmail.com Created attachment 67364 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=67364 A simple ODS spreadsheet which will cause LO 3.6.2.1 to crash First, a disclaimer: this is very odd behavior that I've tried to pin down to the smallest set of steps that will reproduce the crash. I'm not very good at this, so I apologize if I'm not using the right terminology for "computed cells" (e.g., cells containing a formula based on values from other cells). I have attached the OS X crash reporter output, and a simple ODS file which I believe will reproduce the crash on affected systems (possibly only Mac OS X?). I cannot reproduce this behavior with the 3.6.2.whatever build that is currently available for Mac OS X on libreoffice.org. The bug is also not present on OO 3.4.1. These are the only two other builds/OSes I'm able to compare with at the moment. As a result, I'm guessing this is a very small regression that is probably easy to fix. Symptom: Currently available 3.6.1 download for Mac OS X crashes when performing a deletion operation (delete, Fn + delete, Command + X) on multiple selected cells, when one of the cell's values is based on another cell's value (which is also computed based on other cells' values), IFF the previously-computed cell is the first "argument" to the formula in the second computed cell. Deleting individual cells cells (e.g., Delete or Fn + Delete on Mac) does not cause the crash, only when the operation is performed on a multi-cell selection comprised of a computed cell as described above. Changing the order of arguments in the second computed cell also eliminates the behavior. The crash ONLY occurs when the previously computed cell (the third cell mentioned in the description, containing a forumla) is the FIRST argument to the operation in the fourth cell. E.g. If A3 is computed based on A1 and A2, then a cell formula =A3/A4 will cause the crash, but =A4/A3 will not. Consistently reproducible. Support for assistive devices in the OS X "Universal Access" prefpane is verified disabled (see bug 47368). Steps to reproduce: --- Create a new worksheet. Perform the following steps: - Enter a value into a cell (say, cell A1 to 3) - Enter another value (say, cell A2 to 4) - Compute a third cell based on those two (say, cell A3 to =SUM(A1:A2)) - Compute a fourth cell based on the third cell and some other cell, but put the third cell FIRST in the order of arguments to the computation (e.g., cell A4 to =A3/A2). Make a multi-cell selection with the mouse, to include the FOURTH computed cell (A4 in the example). Then perform an edit operation to remove the cells from the sheet, e.g., delete or cut. Observe the LibreOffice (3.6.1.2, Build ID: e29a214) crashes. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The bug has 2 main part: 1- autocorrect entries is limit to 16^2 --> 65535 2- once the limit is reached the database gets erased the most important thing for me is actually to raise the number of entries (from 16^2 to 20^2 or 32^2) since I need to add more autocorrect terms in my LibreOffice. just fixing the database erase without raising that number of available entries would not help me, since my priority is to expand the autocorrect database capacity thank you, TOMMY -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I have an Excel 97-2003 workbook that relies on many array formulas. In Calc 3.3, the formulas worked as expected when I opened the workbook in Calc. In versions 3.5 thru 3.6.2, the formulas do not work. I have attached a single sheet of the original workbook so that you can see a sample of the problems I'm having. Column J is where the formulas are located. I don't know if my use of the Offset function to dynamically name ranges is part of the problem or not. Still, remember that all my formulas work correctly in Cal 3.3. But I got a question ;-) You write: (In reply to comment #13) > The bug Frank Winklmeier had reported in May still exists in 3.6.2.1. > The steps to reproduce are the same: > 1. Create a new presentation > 2. Add two (or more) slides > 3. In the left pane, drag slide 3 behind slide 1 > 4. Click any other slide -> Crash. (In reply to comment #15) > Sometimes you need to click 3 or more times in different slides in the left > pane until LO crashes. Are these steps really exactly the same as reported by Frank Winklmeier? If I understand his description (comment #0) and the stack trace in “his" original crash report (attachment 61879) correctly, his crash occured when switching back from Slide sorter view to “Normal” view. But “your” crash happens after dragging slides and then clicking 1, 3, “or more times in different slides in the left pane”. Of course, this is very similar, but IMHO there is a little difference. This idea is confirmed by the stack traces in the log files: while Frank’s log (attachment 61879) shows that the crash happened when re-drawing the window/pane, your log file (attachment 67334) shows a completely different stack trace: “your” crash happens somewhere in the slidesorter code. Therefore I would guess we have two different bugs here ;-(. But there are good news, too: the stack trace in your log file is identical to the stack traces attached to bug 51023, which is also (see the description) very very similar to your steps to reproduce. *This* bug is, of course, reproducible *without* any accessibility features enabled, just as you write: > I have no (!) accessibility features enabled. And I do not use any window > management tools. So I would suggest a) that the crash you have reproduces is identical to bug 51023, not to the original type of crash reported by Frank (and by you and Paulo in your bug reports); and b) that the original bug reported by Frank (and by you and Paulo) is really no more reproducible (*), as you write: > But there are good news too: The bug I reported, a crash when switching from > notes-view to normal is no more reproducible. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55058 --- Comment #7 from mathog 2012-09-18 17:00:03 UTC --- The attachment lodraw_himag3.png was made after "break" - it shows the loss of the dot/dash pattern on the lines. The relevant pieces of code in Inkscape are in the src/extensions/internal directory of that distribution, in the files: emf-inout.cpp emf-inout.h emf-print.cpp emf-print.h uemf.c uemf.h I suspect that items 9 and 10 are due to logic errors in the LODraw equivalent of the code at the top of the main read loop in emf-inout.cpp starting around line 1408. This is the code which determines at what point, during the processing of the EMF file, to stroke/fill each internal object, which turned out to be quite complex. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55058 Bug #: 55058 Summary: List of EMF import bugs with examples Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.6.1.2 release Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Drawing AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: mat...@caltech.edu Created attachment 67335 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=67335 Test EMF file I have recently been doing working on the EMF import/export capabilities of Inkscape (https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/988601) and today I got around to trying one of the test files on LODraw 3.6.1.2. There were a few issues found. 1. EMR_SMALLTEXTOUT - not supported 2. Pattern fill (all modes) - not supported 3. Pattern stroke (all modes) - not supported 4. Some discrepancies in textalignment modes (using Windows Preview as the gold standard). 5. After import into LODraw and then "break" dash patterns on lines are lost. 6. Fill winding attribute is broken (see the two 5 pointed filled stars) 7. Font sizes vary on rotated text (see the three roundish clusters of text at the top edge of the diagram.) 8. EMR_GRADIENTFILL - not supported. (Note, this is not supported in Inkscape either, and I have never been able to get the rectangular gradient records to work - all attempts resulted in EMF files which were toxic to Windows Preview.) 9. Graphics errors: line with the purple filled, turquoise lined figures. LODraw does the 5th and 7th figures incorrectly. 10. Graphics errors: the two lines with the same shapes, which are regular and 16bit versions of various records. The first item in the 2nd and 3rd groups is filled by LODraw, but it should not be. The test EMF file was produced by libUEMF 0.8, which is not released yet but will be later today. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50710] Application crashes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50710 --- Comment #6 from Roman Eisele 2012-09-18 16:31:58 UTC --- Mac Accessibility Related Bugs Survey Results - This is a mixed bug report about various ways to crash LibreOffice, so it is difficult to deal with it. It is even not sure if the crashes mentioned here are really related to Mac OS accessibility features in comment 4 and comment 4 (although it seems probable). Therefore I have to limit my survey to the Mac OS X crash log attached to this report. Two ideas about it: 1) As the thread 0 stack trace tells us, the crash obviously happened when closing a window (line 3: “Window:~Window()”), and obviously it was a dialog window with tabs (line 7: “AbstractTabDialog_Impl::~AbstractTabDialog_Impl()”), and, to be more concrete, the visible tab was the border style settings tab (line 4: “SvxBorderTabPage::~SvxBorderTabPage()”; cf. http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/cui/source/inc/border.hxx ). 2) The stack trace, line 2, also shows that there was a call to Window::CallEventListeners(unsigned long, void*) AFTER the window’s destructor was called (“Window::~Window()”, line 3). Both observations together seem to suggest to a simple-minded bugwrangler like me that this is more or less the same bug as the issue (I) in bug 47368 (see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47368#93 and ff.). This bug was fixed by Tor Lillqvist’s patch http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=9b9d45e35103e6884e0a87c35c07c74899f40614 This patch will appear in LibreOffice 3.6.2 and 3.7.0. Therefore I hope that the present bug was also fixed by the commit mentioned above, and therefore I let this bug marked as a duplicate of bug 47368 which was fixed by that commit. @ ber...@tty.nl: If you can still reproduce the crashes mentioned here with LibreOffice 3.6.2 or newer, please report that! But it would be even more helpful if you could please -- create a new bug report for each way to crash LibreOffice (or at least for two or three of them, if there are too much ;-). -- In each of these reports, please describe in as much details as possible how to reproduce the crash (step by step from starting the application on, even mouse click by mouse click: sorry, but this is really necessary!), -- To each of these reports, please attach the Mac OSX crash log created on exactly that kind of crash. This would be very very helpful! It would allow us to reproduce the problem exactly, and only this makes it possible to fix it. As to your question: The bug Frank Winklmeier had reported in May still exists in 3.6.2.1. The steps to reproduce are the same: 1. Create a new presentation 2. Add two (or more) slides 3. In the left pane, drag slide 3 behind slide 1 4. Click any other slide -> Crash. I will attach the crash-report as an attachment. I have no (!) accessibility features enabled. And I do not use any window management tools. But there are good news too: The bug I reported, a crash when switching from notes-view to normal is no more reproducible. This bug which was reportet by you (all three) is one of the remaining issues on my list, but I can’t make any substantive progress here because I still can’t reproduce it myself -- even when I check “Enable access for assistive devices” and activate RightZoom or BetterTouchTool ... Therefore we need your help to make progress here. Please, can you (every single one of you ;-) try the following: 1) Can you please download the newest LibreOffice release candidate (3.6.2.1) from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ and install it and try if you can still reproduce this kind of crash (with “Enable access for assistive devices” checked, and/or BetterTouchTool running, or whatever kind of utility you used when you first experienced that crash? Explanation: We have fixed two or three very important problems related to Mac OS accessibility features in this release, so there is a chance that the bug reported by you was fixed, too. But we NEED to know if it is actually fixed nor not ... 2) Please report here (in an additional comment to this bug report) if you can still reproduce the crash with LibreOffice 3.6.2.1. *IF* you can still reproduce it, a) please attach crash the crash log / debug information / stack trace which Mac OS X displays in a window after the crash. This allows us to verify if you all experience 100% the same crash, or if there is some variation. b) Please also mention which options in the System Preferences / “Universal Access” (German: “Bedienungshilfen”) control panel you have activated: “Enable access for assistive devices”? “Voice over”? “Zoom” Or ...? Or nothing? A screenshot of the complete “Universal Access” window with all settings would be the easiest way to do that. c) And please also mention which window management utilities/tools you use: BetterTouchTool, RightZoom, Cinch, Moom, SnapIt, or anything similar? (If you don’t understand what I mean here -- this is a bit difficult to explain ;-), don’t hesitate, ask me, and I will give a more detailed description ;-) I know this is much work, but it would be very very helpful if you could try this and report all results in detail, so *please* help us! ;-) This is the only way to get this bug fixed.
