So, on Linux, we have a different issue than on Mac OS X. As far as I can see, we have very different results: * On Mac OS, *every* EPS graphics fails to display properly during presentation * On Linux, only in the current master builds EPS graphics fail to display properly during presentation; -> regresssion?! * On Windows, *some* EPS graphics display correctly, and others don’t; we have to find out what makes the difference ... I fear we need to handle these problems as three different bug reports: a general report for Mac OS X (the present one), a report about a regression on Linux, and a report about *some* EPS graphics failing to display on Windows (further research necessary). Select Transparency Gradient (or Transparency or No Transparency does not change the behavior in ALL following steps) (selected color is displayed) 7. Select Area Fill Gradient and any gradient 8. Select Transparency (selected gradient is displayed) 9. Select Area Fill Color and any color 10. Select Transparency (selected color is NOT displayed but the previously selcted gradient) Instead of Color and Gradient, Color and Hatching and Color and Bitmap and Color and None show the same behavior. Any switching sequence between Gradient, Hatching, Bitmap and None showed correct behavior when going from Area to Transparency. Next I tested Impress Chart which I submitted to bug 56766. I open it in normal mode (not Read Only) from my HDD. There I observed an equivalent behavior but Gradient behaved like Color in the file of Rainer Bielefeld. Therefore I made test 3. I created a new Column Chart in Impress and observed the same behavior as in Rainer Bielefelds' slide which I opened only in Read Only mode An additional observation was made in all charts used for testing: When switching from Area Fill Color, to Area Fill Hatching the last selected color was displayed as background color and does not match the background color of the hatching patterns. Current behavior: Whenever a switch was made from Color to Gradient, the Color does not show up in Transparency. The same is valid for Hatching, Bitmap and None. However, changing to all kind of Gradients, Hatching, and Bitmap, and None works correct when going to Transparency. Only Color does not show up in Transparency when there was once one of the other Fill were selected According to the other two test I made the behavior is instable. Expected behavior: Whatever Area Fill I selected, this Fill should be displayed in Transparency LibO 3..5.7.2 on XP pro /SP3 I can be contacted. * Create a new Writer document
* Type "First Heading" (without quotes) on the first line; select "First
Heading" and give it style 'Heading 1'
* Enter
* Type "Second Heading" (without quotes) on the second line; give it style
Heading 2;
* Go to "Styles and formatting ('Format' -> 'Styles and formatting')
* Select the text "Second Heading" in the document
* Click with your right click on Heading 1 in the 'Styles and formatting'
window (with "Second heading" still selected in your document) -> Modify...
* Go to tab 'Font Effects', now you'll see a preview on the word "Second
Heading"... but that word isn't an example of Style 'Heading 1'... it's an
example of 'Heading 2'
What I think it should be:
* All previous steps, but the last step with a preview of a 'Heading 1'
formatted header
I'm not really sure this is a bug, or this is intended behavior.

with LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 rc" German UI/ German Locale [Build-ID: 2ef5aff] {pull
date 2012-11-28} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) and then use different
slide backgrounds as you can see in attached sample documents.
So it is easy to assign different backgrounds in a document, but I will have to
check whether there is an "import" from an other document will work.
If you simple changed the "Default" background color in the document from where
you imported a slide it's expected that the background color of the target
document will be used. If in both documents Styles with the same name are used
the Style definition of the target document will be used.

This was a bug in OO 2.x (not that a bug was reported) because it did not match the documentation. JOB_COMPLETED means that OO has finished the printing process and spooling is about to start. It fails with a General Error. General input/output error.
