It seems that LibreOffice Writer has stopped following META redirects. At least Version 3.6.1.2 does not do it, while lower versions on Debian Linux (higest is 3.5.4.2) do follow redirects. Unfortunately this is an important feature because it is needed for the _only_ way, to create a webdav editable link. See http://www.heute-morgen.de/site/03_Web_Tech/60_CMS_with_WebDAV_and_Openoffice.shtml for details. If this has been removed on purpose this is a request for a configuration option to restore the old behaviour, maybe on a per site basis. The behaviour can be reproduced by opening the attached file with LibreOffice Writer. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58940] CONFIGURATION: Can not change paths used by LibreOffice
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58940 Rafael DeGennaro rdegenn...@earthlink.net changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |NEEDINFO --- Comment #22 from Rafael DeGennaro rdegenn...@earthlink.net --- I am a relative newbie, but in the spirit of generating possible ideas or questions, I offer the following two facts FWIW, neither of which relate to LibreOffice: 1) I changed the hostname immediately after installing Linux Mint 14. I changed it in both places and followed instructions exactly. It seems correct now. Another guy experiencing this bug did not change his hostname. 2) Print to file: Results always go to /home/username see post here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47t=120962 that has received no response. When I print to file on this same system, it won't let me select a folder through the other dropdown. This always worked well in Linux Mint 12 and 13. The normal procedure that I've followed for years is: Go print to file. Then save in folder: other and browse to a folder. Then create a file name, and print. Now it lets me do that, but then always puts the file in the /home/username directory, ignoring what I specified. I've spent hours Googling forums, but only find people trying to change the default folder for print to PDF, which is different. (Although I'm a newbie, I've installed Linux Mint about 5-6 times now successfully, and am methodical and not going a lot of other things during the install.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58539] documents that crash Libreoffice Calc master from 18.12.2012
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58539 --- Comment #54 from Markus Mohrhard markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com --- Actually that's what I'd come up with, which should indeed fix the crash itself. But the concern here is that why the matrix become empty? The matrix there should at least contain one element, so neither the column nor row dimension should become zero there (it should be a 1 by 1 matrix, not empty matrix). That's what I meant to say in Comment 28. Ah ok. But in the end we either need this patch or we can remove the if clause and ignore it. No menu was there to close, nothing in toolbar, no Close button on the window status bar. Restarting LibreOffice and Opening any document automatically re-opens the Contour window, hiding 2/3 of the main LibreOffice window and making using of LibreOffice impossible. I could get rid of it by reducing the main LibreOffice window, and unchecking Format/Wrap/Edit Contour menu. This workaround is pretty difficult to guess for a normal user which would feel that LibreOffice is broken. So it seems LibreOffice somehow tries to open the file twice and keeps itself from doing it (!) through some kind of lock. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58539 --- Comment #55 from Kohei Yoshida kohei.yosh...@suse.de --- (In reply to comment #54) Actually that's what I'd come up with, which should indeed fix the crash itself. Right now every time we reach this PushIllegalArgument() call we crash later. Sure. We do need this change. There is no dispute about it. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57697 --- Comment #6 from Joseph Brown 1st...@gmail.com --- I experienced similiar issues when I pasted data from a web page into a spreadsheet. The numbers were stored as labels. Although they appeared as numbers, the data were actually labels. The numbers may be stored as text values. While the scale mode is automatic, that works fine, which was how it worked in the spreadsheet. When switching to manual scaling, the fact that the actual data (nubmers) are stored as labels, it becomes an issue. In this example, there is a colum of data labels which is not used, but contains labels. That may be the source of the issue. Converting from one chart type to another, may have intersperced labels with number data or possibly numbers are being stored as labels. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Open a new writer document. 2. Create a rectangle using the 'rectangle' tool from the 'drawing' toolbar. 3. Create a rectangle using the 'basic shapes → rectangle' tool from the 'drawing' toolbar. Current behaviour: the shapes created do not have the same line colour or the same fill colour. Expected behaviour: the shapes should have matching line colour and fill colour, so that it is easy to produce a quick drawing with all parts matching. Additional observation: the text is centred in one and left justified in the other by default. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52170 --- Comment #25 from Reto Diener reto_die...@bluewin.ch --- It seems I have precisely the same problem within my environment: LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 on Windows XP (Intel Core i3, 2.5GHz, 4GB Memory) I tested with several version of Java6 RT 6.06, 6.022, 6.038 (latest). No difference at all. All ended with the same result: Loading of a simple table containing about 4700 records goes quick (1s) (about 70 records are loaded) Loading of the rest of the table (jumping to the last record) goes terribly slow (45s)! See attached test-db (with embedded HSQL 1.8) I tested additionally with a MySQL-DB via JDBC (from Oracle). Again: NO EFFECT. Same performance problem! Inspecting the task-monitor: One of the 4 cores goes up to 100% (so 25% totally). There is no IO-activity for at least 30 seconds (only memory consumption is slowly increasing). By the way: Switching to Ubuntu 12.04 LT (same hardware) with latest LibreOffice installed: Again, the same problem Would be very cool to have a fix for that. Really! https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58531 --- Comment #8 from Yi Ding yi.s.d...@gmail.com --- Thanks for looking into this Marios. It looks like the default setting for that option is Never recalculate which may be preferable for formulas that reference in-workbook values but definitely not (IMHO) for ones that reference other files. Would this also affect worksheet links then between ODS files? I think those get used by a lot of (power) users. I also filed a similar bug about DDEs breaking after loading. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58505] Tweak F5 for slide display, and add Shift-F5
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58505 Joren De Cuyper joren.libreoff...@telenet.be changed: What|Removed |Added CC||joren.libreoffice@telenet.b ||e --- Comment #1 from Joren De Cuyper joren.libreoff...@telenet.be --- (In reply to comment #0) UX guys suggest that slide-jockeys would appreciate the familiar: F5 to start the slideshow from the beginning, and Shift-F5 to start from the current slide. To do that we need to go hack some code: officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Accelerators.xcu and search for .uno:Presentation. We need to add a new name here eg. .uno:PresentationThisSlide next to .uno:Presentation. There is already a SHIFT-F5: node oor:name=F5_SHIFT oor:op=replace prop oor:name=Commandvalue xml:lang=x-no-translateI10N SHORTCUTS - NO TRANSLATE/value value xml:lang=en-US.uno:RestoreEditingView/value /prop /node What I did (NOT pushed to gerrit right now): I didn't change something here, but I used this '.uno:RestoreEditingView' in the next steps Then we need to add a description of that to: officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/OfFuTemporaryfice/UI/DrawImpressCommands.xcu so it can be translated. node oor:name=.uno:RestoreEditingView oor:op=replace prop oor:name=Label oor:type=xs:string value xml:lang=en-USSlide Show Current Slide/value /prop prop oor:name=Properties oor:type=xs:int value1/value /prop /node Then we need to add an SID: sd/inc/sdcommands.h:#define CMD_SID_PRESENTATION .uno:Presentation #define CMD_SID_PRESENTATION.uno:Presentation #define CMD_SID_PRESENTATIONCURRENT .uno:RestoreEditingView Then add this SID to the switch in: sd/source/ui/slidesorter/controller/SlsSlotManager.cxx switch (rRequest.GetSlot()) { case SID_PRESENTATION: case SID_PRESENTATIONCURRENT: case SID_REHEARSE_TIMINGS: ShowSlideShow (rRequest); pShell-Cancel(); rRequest.Done(); break; and a new case to: void SlotManager::ShowSlideShow( SfxRequest rReq) This is the initial version: http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sd/source/ui/slidesorter/controller/SlsSlotManager.cxx#856 This is what I did (so far) void SlotManager::ShowSlideShow( SfxRequest rReq) { Reference XPresentation2 xPresentation( mrSlideSorter.GetModel().GetDocument()-getPresentation() ); if( xPresentation.is() ) { if( ( SID_REHEARSE_TIMINGS != rReq.GetSlot() SID_PRESENTATIONCURRENT != rReq.getSlot() ) ) xPresentation-start(); //start presentation from beginning elseif( ( SID_REHEARSE_TIMINGS != rReq.GetSlot() SID_PRESENTATIONCURRENT = rReq.getSlot() ) ) //start presentation from current slide else xPresentation-rehearseTimings(); } } As you can see in the 'initial version' ... Following http://www.openoffice.org/api/docs/common/ref/com/sun/star/presentation/XPresentation.html calling the start() function SHOULD start the presentation from the beginning ... but it don't (I tested it with LO 4.1, build today with Ubuntu 12.10 and Mac OSX). So I don't get it right now, why the presentation start from current/selected presentation already. Can you please put me back on rails :-). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54638] Too slow to import file with lots of cells with multi-line contents.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54638 Kohei Yoshida kohei.yosh...@suse.de changed: What|Removed |Added Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |kohei.yosh...@suse.de |desktop.org | --- Comment #7 from Kohei Yoshida kohei.yosh...@suse.de --- Did some investigation. Basically I haven't really figured out why importing of multiline contents (which are equivalent of rich-text contents) became so slow all of a sudden, but what's clear is that, to solve this, we need to re-write the code that parses and creates rich-text cells (aka edit cells). The current code uses way over-engineered UNO API for rich-text cells, and it's not humanly possible to grok that enough to be able to speed things up. It's just not doable. The bad news is that this won't make it into 4.0. I'll see if I can tackle this during the 4.1 development cycle. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
