[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57322] Moz-free LDAP Address Book driver

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57322

--- Comment #10 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
(In reply to comment #9)
But I agree that allowing to connect to an LDAP server as a source for
addresses is nice to have, thinking about corps with some Active Directories
or other LDAP directories with all their members in.

Not only is it nice to have, but if you had it _already_ in a corporate setup,
even with its current limitations and then it disappears, you will not endear
corporations to your cause.

So, I don't see this being announced as one of the features for LO4 release ?
In terms of communication, it should be announced though.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58941] Support optional smartfont features

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58941

--- Comment #3 from Georg Duffner g.duff...@gmail.com ---
Not exactly the same, but tightly related:
Enhance existing UI elements to check for corresponding OT-features in the
fonts and apply them if selected. For example smallcaps, superscripts and
subscripts switches should check for smcp/sups/subs (or sinf) features and
apply these features instead of artificially creating fake smallcaps etc.

Should I open a new report for this?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59159] Styles only used in CONDITIONAL FORMATTING not copied with sheet to new document

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59159

@Rainer Bielefeld
I don't think this can be a feature as it breaks the conditional formatting,
but I agree that it is a feature to not copy all styles from a document (it
should copy only the relevant ones).

Another related problem:
A. create two documents with a custom style in each (with the same name, but
different, e.g. one does a red background and the other does a yellow
background).
B. copy a sheet from one document to the other

Current behaviour: the formatting (of the copy) changes to match the style as
defined in the destination file (e.g. cell which is formatted red using a style
called 'john' will be yellow when copied to another document which already
contains a style called 'john' which is defined to abe a yellow background).

Expected behaviour: one of the styles is renamed to avoid a clash or a warning
is displayed to advise me that a clash between styles exists - do I still want
to copy? (Ideally it will check if the styles actually match so that it
doesn't appear when both have a style called 'john' but they are identical
styles.)

New bug report for this or not?

Really? It seems I have LDAP choice in Version 4.0.0.0.beta2+ (Build ID:
 d3b7a2bfe2a95153134f340c5a13a467de95a0d) under Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64. If I
 understand well the attached screenshot.

 Best regards. JBF

Hi Jean-Baptiste,
Yes, the choice is there in the list of Address Book datasources via the
Address Book wizard, but not in datasources in general, i.e. not in the
Database Creation wizard.

If you choose LDAP as an address book datasource, you are taken to a dialog
asking for a URL and an ID field. Leaving them blank and confirming leads to a
failed driver load error.

Clicking on the Help button in that LDAP configuration dialog opens the Writer
help !!

Searching for LDAP help content brings up help pages that bear no relation
whatsoever to the dialog that is offered in the LDAP Address Book configuration
wizard.

problem):

(from facebook) I want to download the portable version on my UsB, but when I
try tells me Unable to close all applications and try again openoffice. But I
have no plans to open the installation file.

(from libreoffice-users ml) I'm trying to use LibreOffice (latest version) in a
class I'm teaching. The computer lab we are using is made up of thin clients
that attach to a Windows 2008 R2 server with RDP. All of the students log in
with the same user account (I am not able to change this). The first computer
(terminal session) to open LibreOffice Writer works fine. On all other
machines, when opening LibreOffice, the user instantly sees the document
recovery screen asking if they want to recover whatever document was open in
session 1. I can cancel the document recovery and Writer opens to a new
document. However, after about 1 minute (even with no activity), it crashes
and
closes. I thought perhaps temp files were part of the problem, but each
session that is logged in to the server gets its own temp directory. Looking
at the LibreOffice Paths in the Tools-Options menu, the Temp path is
correctly set to be unique per session. I also tried changing the Backup path
to %temp% thinking that this might resolve the document recovery issue, but it
did not.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59237] New: Linux x86: legacy extensions cannot find STLport

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59237

  Priority: low
Bug ID: 59237
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Linux x86: legacy extensions cannot find STLport
  Severity: minor
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: sberg...@redhat.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: NEW
   Version: 3.6.4.3 release
 Component: Extensions
   Product: LibreOffice

At least on current libreoffice-3-6, on Linux x86, legacy C++ extensions that
link against the STLport library will not find it at runtime, and will thus not
work/will fail to install. (This is only relevant for Linux x86; on Linux
x86_64, we never included STLport for extensions in the first place, and on
Windows the mechanism by which an extension finds STLport is sufficiently
different from the Linux mechanism so that this specific issue is not relevant
there.)

One example of this issue hitting in the wild is in comment 0 of bug 591707:
Note, I remember that I had to install package libstlport4.6-dev to make Duden
Korrektor 6.0 work with LibreOffice 3.5.4 provided by the distribution.

The reason is that the executables into which extensions are loaded
(soffice.bin, ure.bin) need to link against the STLport library (and all the
other libs making up the URE interface, so that they are already in process
when extensions want to link against them without mentioning their locations on
the RPATH). In the old build system, this was taken care of e.g., with
cpputools/source/unoexe/makefile.mk: Include all relevant (see
ure/source/README) dynamic libraries, so that C++ UNO components running in the
uno executable have a defined environment (stlport, unxlngi6 libstdc++.so.6,
and wntmsci10 uwinapi.dll are already included via APP1STDLIB, unxlngi6
libgcc_s.so.1 and wntmsci10 msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll are magic---TODO)
This detail got lost when converting to the new gbuild system.

I can confirm this problem.
I run Ubuntu 32 bit version.

In LibreOffice 3.6.2 Zotero worked like a charm. After opgrading to 4.0.0.1
(RC1) it doesn't work.
The toolbar is visible and the Basic macros are present. Running the macros
manually doesn't work either.

Tried with Sun Java 1.6.0_24 and Oracle Java 1.7.0_10.

I even tried to uninstall the extension and manually install it again after
restarting LibreOffice - still no response from the toolbar.

I don't see this vs. master on Linux; Kendy - could it be related to some
Personas / background work ?

Is this still the case for RC1 ?

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 59239
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILESAVE: Automatic file name extension is never
enabled on Save As
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: paddla...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.6.4.3 release
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new document or spread sheet.
2. Edit some
3. Click save icon or Save As

Current behavior:

In the Save As dialogue, the box for Automatically select file name extension
is not checked. If manually checked it is not remembered till next time.

Expected behavior:

Either the Automatically select file name extension shall be checked by
default (probably) OR it shall at least remember if checked last time.

This applies to Export as PDF as well, where the documents (.odt) extension is
reused for the PDF file.

Can't remember I use to have this problem.

My environment is Gentoo Linux 64 bit using KDE. The dialogue used is the
KDE/Qt Save As dialogue which is also the KDE default one.

Indeed, so if a textrange comment is inserted, and one just clicks away (so the

--- Comment #4 from Chris Tapp opensou...@keylevel.com ---
It may be work noting that I tried to use a single-pixel graphic image to solve
the problem.

When set to 'Tile' I got the same behavior (i.e. color in the 'space before'
region).

However, using the 'Area' option gives the desired behavior (i.e no color in
the space). Stranger still, setting either of the heading graphics to 'Area'
makes it work.

The mail merge test setting stopped working in LO-4.0.0.1 on Linux.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Tools/Options/LibreOffice Writer/Mail Merge E-mail
2. Enter a valid server name (I use relay.suse.de)
3. Press the button Test Settings...

Result: It could establish server connection but it can't find the mail server.
I get the error message:

settings and the settings in LibreOffice. Check the server name, the port and
the secure connections settings

The same setting works with older buils or with LO-3.6. Also I am using this
mail server every day. SO, it should not be problem on the server side.

I wonder if it might be related to the bug #59248.

Well, the python somehow works. At least Tools/Macros/Organize

Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

In the (really great) new conditional formatting feature in LibreOffice Calc
4.0Beta2, I encounter a reproducable bug which always results in a crash of
LibreOffice:

How to reproduce:
1. Type or copy in any 20 cells of the spreadsheet following matrix:

1234
2345
3456
4567
5678

2. select the cells of the matrix
2. Choose Format - Conditional Formatting - Data bar - choose Icon
set - click OK.
3. select the cells
4. hit ctrl + c to copy the matrix in the clipboard
5. Click edit - undo as often until the spreadsheet is again empty
6. Choose Edit - Paste Special and select the option Numbers and
unselect the option Formats.
7. Choose again Format - Conditional Formatting - Data bar - choose
Icon set - click OK.
8. In most cases, LibreOffice crashes now. If it does not crash, repeat steps
5, 6, and 7 once more to reproduce the crash.

The slide-sorter has this rather naive / optimistic boost::shared_ptr:

typedef ::boost::shared_ptrsd::Window SharedSdWindow;

class SlideSorter

SharedSdWindow mpContentWindow;

Which is just hard deleted by a toolkit peer:

Quite why toolkit thinks it can go deleting windows like that - I have no idea.

Make svg export use slidesorter selection in most cases.

There was code previously that took the current selection, iff
Impress main view was in slidesorter mode. Extended this quite
helpful functionality to also work in other modes (as long as a
slidesorter pane is displayed has up-to-date selection, it should
work).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59253] New: shift-drag does not add to selection

test drawing of moderate complexity

In moderately complex drawings, adding to a selection by shift-drag sometimes
does not work. In more complex drawings, with a few objects selected already,
usually it does not work at all.

Step to reproduce this:
(1) Open the attached LO-testDrawing.odg
(2) Select one or two objects (e.g. first 2 rectangles) with dragging a
rectangle over them. (it's the same problem if I select the first object with a
mouse click)
(3) press the SHIFT key and hold it while selecting one more object by dragging
a rectangle
Repeat step (3) a few times.

After adding a few objects, maybe 5 or 10, selecting further objects this way
does not work: nothing is added to the selection; the objects selected
previously remain selected.
If the objects selected are more complex, like the curves, the bug comes
earlier (sometimes it is impossible to add anything to the selection by
shift-drag after one item); for simple objects like the rectangle it is
possible to select more of them.

The bug is not perfectly reproducible; thus it might be a multithreading
issue/race condition.

There are many changes made between LibreOffice 4.0 beta 2 and upcoming release
candidate (RC1). This bug probably will be fixed. I can't reproduce using Mac
OSX 10.8.2 and Linux/Bondhi with LibreOffice RC1. Can you please test retest

If this bug is still present in RC1, please feel free to REOPEN it; but for now
(because of the MANY changes that are made) - WORKSFORME.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59254] New: EDITING: order of columns of data grid table not changeable by mouse movement

2013-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59254

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 59254
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: EDITING: order of columns of data grid table not
changeable by mouse movement
  Severity: minor
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: fj...@biomarkt-eichwalde.de
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.6.4.3 release
 Component: Database
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem:

When in design mode, the order of columns of a data grid table cannot be
changed anymore by pressing and holding the left mouse button on the column's
header and moving it to left or right.

Current behaviour:

A mouse pointer is shown making an add item appearance, and no movement of
the column occurs. When the left mouse button is released, the mouse pointer
changes back to ARROW with no column movement having happened.

Expected behaviour:

As in earlier versions of LO, the user can change the columns' order by
dragging.

I couldn't find it, so I decided to post it here. I know that Bugzilla is an
issue tracker rather than a bug tracker exclusively, despite the misleading
name. The fact you had to create a custom front end reveals the horror of
Bugzilla, this is why new projects should always use The Bug Genie instead of
such ancient, unusable and user-hostile solutions! I'm quite certain most
programmers, too, dislike Bugzilla.

Anyway, I would be most pleased were functionality that would allow a
cumulative word count to placed on the bottom of, perchance, the last page. By
this I mean a word count of all the words on the page being inserted and
updated automatically as one types.

It would also be nice if a per-page word count that would increase from
page-to-page (hence the title of this bug report) would be added, though this
does not bother me too much, as I have only ever had a single use case for
that.

Of course, I'd assume this would be generic and could be anywhere on the page,
such being the case often programming, but the intended use case would be in
the footer.
