If you go to:
http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/indonesian-dictionary-kamus-indonesia-by-benitius
 

and download and in stal the extension, you wil get a indonesian dictionary. If
this fixces you bug please set the statis to Resolved Fixed.

Hello Jacques,

It is not possible to select the callout box.
I can see the callout box when in the normal slide view, but it is not
shown in the Slide-Show.
I will have to do a bit more checking because I think I changed the
original animated slide into just a composite picture when I initially had
the problem.
I will come back to you later with my findings.

Hello Jonathan,

Sorry for this delay.
I see there's another issue, but I have not your slide, just the three ones in
Sample Problem1.odp.
What I see is a drawing shape missing(Callout), but the text is there, so it
would be interresting to know if you can select the shape, and if so, add for
example visible shadow or something like that, and report separatly your issue,
after a search in Bugzilla for an identical issue.
Can you do that ?

Rainer: localization is English for all. during LibO install I deselected the
french and spanish dictionaries, leaving only english, and I deselected the
English(UK) and English(south Africa) UI languages, leaving only English. My OS
is of course English as well.

I tried opening files from windows explorer and from the open dialog in LibO.
The files are located on a local NTFS volume. The files I first tried were
sitting on my desktop, the others are elsewhere on the same volume. No network
drives involved.

The exact wording of the error message is what I was after when I tried to do a
parallel install of 4.0. Unfortunately, that both removed the 3.6 install and
resulted in a working 4.0 install. Thus, the conclusion that an upgrade works
but a fresh install doesn't. As it has been reported that an uninstall followed
by install works, I must conclude that the uninstall leaves some remnants that
are sufficient to make the 4.0 install work. I know that the uninstall leaves
around a directory with a few files, so I can only imagine what magic might be
left in the registry.

I'm thinking that it will take a VM to efficiently debug this problem. I don't
have the time to do so at the moment, but it would be good if someone who has a
Windows VM that never had LibO installed in it could take a snapshot of said VM
and then try the various install scenarios, each time recording the results and
then rolling back to the snapshot before trying the next variation.

I have several file created with previous version. I have already done some
test like your suggestion following the same procedure: I was editing footer
and header but doesn't remember what exactly in that instant. But the fenomeno
doesn't repeat .

The option to choose between "Always", "Prompt" and "Never" was not present int
LibreOffice 3.6 and the behavior of LibreOffice 3.6 was "Always".

LibreOffice 4.0 introduced the choice AND switched the default behavior to
"Never".

- create a very simple doc with the other machine (containing LO < 4.0). For
example a ods file just containing the word "test"
- save it
- copy the file to the machine containing LO 4.0.0.3 and try to do the same
modifications you did.

BTW : what were the modifications? (or what kind if you don't remember
precisely)

I can confirm this using Linux Mint 14 x64 and LibreOffice Version
4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: c16e9f4ed97f65357e9986f46ad88ee9f223799).

Therefore I mark this as NEW. I can't find a duplicate so far.

Following [1] I mark this as 'minor medium':
* Minor: does require users not to use a feature
* Medium: as far I can see not a regression? otherwise this will be set to
'high'

@Christian: this worked well with previous versions? (I mean: you know a
version of LibreOffice where it worked)

2013-01-31 11:30(?)} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with separate  new
User Profile.

3.6.5 opens document without problems. 

I created a valid ODF document from Sample with LibO 3.6.5, LibO 4.0.0.3 will
open that document without problems.

I will do some further examinations tomorrow

Due to latest results I doubt that it's related to Bug 60921, what do you
think?

Rainer: did you uninstall completely previous 4.0 version before installing
last one?
I suspect that some needed libs (in Windows directories for example) are still
present after upgrading but no more present if you uninstall LO < 4.0 then
install 4.0.0.3
Of course, it's just a guess, perhaps I'm completely wrong.

it is not well known that 0^0 does not exist. in fact Euler in ~1740 already
defined it to be 1. 0^0 is an indeterminate 'form' in the context of extension
by continuity of multi-variables functions... but that is only in that narrow
specific sub-set of Math that 0^0 is considered an indeterminate 'form'...
but in many other area of mathematics the convention of 0^0 = 1 is useful and
commonly used.

so

1/ The ODF standard allow for 0^0=1
2/ Changing that would break backward compatibility as LibreOffice, OpenFoffice
and StarOffice have always returned 1 for 0^0

Hm, I never had such a problem, but it's strange that we have some similar
reports.

In a bug report please tell the details required to reproduce the problem. In
most cases a step by step instruction with all relevant details (reylly, every
mouse click ...) is the best way.
a) how did you try? Win explorer?, File dialog / Libo or OS?
b) Where are the files? (Net drive ... )?
c) exact wording of the error message?
d) LibO Localization?
e) Your OS localization
And so on, currently there are 10  possible reasons not directly related to
the document, we need to narrow down the roots.
Can you please contribute some more details? I hope with info from you and in
the other bugs we will be able to clear up the puzzle

LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 offers a setting at Preferences->LibreOffice Calc->Formula
called "Recalculation on file load".

If this option is enabled (which it is by default) cached values (saved into
the file) are used. This does not apply for functional like "NOW()" - of
course.

However, UNO plugin functions which return XVolatileResults are not called
either, hence it is not possible to initialize XVolatilieResults.

This will likely render all plugins with XVolatilieResults-Functions unusable
since it effect a core property of XVolatileResults (the ability to force
recalculation of a cell).

The problem does not occur if the above option is set to "Always recalculate".

mariosv: yep, you uninstalled 4.0.0.3 and renamed profile but you didn't
uninstall 3.6/3.5 just upgraded.

bfoman: could you give a try to this one? Important thing is to uninstall any

What I want explain in my last post is:

While I answer you last question (comment #14) about upgrade I did an uninstall
of 4.0.0.3, renaming the profiles for 3 and 4, and install again 4.0.0.3, and
the sample file open right.

So in my understanding I can not reproduce the issue with a fresh installation.

RFE: Ability to add audio/video review comments, or insert audio/video/image in
comments.

One of my friend who is taking Creative Writing class for school kids, was
suggesting he wish there was simple way to add audio/video to review comments
in documents created by the kids. Right now the way he is achieving this is by
creating a "unlisted video" in youtube and putting its link in the comments
box. That works for him. But if I work in a company, there will be company
policy that will restrict me putting confidential information outside the
company. Hence that way wont be possible for those who want to use this feature
in a work place.


Steps:-
1. User receives a Write Document
2. Opens document
3. Review document
4. Decide a location in document for commenting
5. Select it with mouse
6. From menu "Insert > Comment"
7. In comment box click the microphone/camera icon
8. record audio/video comment

I had previously installed 3.6.4/5, I am sure that there was a version 3
profile when I installed some of 4.0 versions. (4.0.0.3 LODev 4.0 LOdev 4.1)

(This is a feature request)

LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 offers a setting at Preferences->LibreOffice Calc->Formula
called "Recalculation on file load".

The option is set effective for the whole application. Since I believe that the
default behavior ("Never recalculate") will lead to problems in a certain class
of spreadsheet-solutions (e.g. spreadsheets with macros making use of external
resources) this option should be set on a per-spreadsheet basis (i.e., it
should be possible to explicitly save a spreadsheet with "Recalculate upon next
open" - or s.th. like that).

This is related to "bug" 60964.

Nice and very interesting feature that I did not know/use before, but I have
studied this in this sample with the additional explanation and now I can
confirm this bug.  This behavior is really buggy and not consistent according
to the rules.

@Thomas: Thank you very much for your fast response, so that I could reproduce
this bug.

Result: reproducible with LO 4.0.0.3 (Win7 Home, 64bit)

Hmm.  I wonder if you did have the patience if you would see the same thing?

Regardless, I doubt most folks have this big of a spreadsheet.  I was looking
for a "size" bug based on another behavior I saw a few days ago.  If two of you
can't recreate it after legitimately trying, I'm happy to call it a fluke,
PEBCAK on my end, WORKSFORME, etc.

Possibly.  But that begs /another/ question:  How are we able to put more
columns than fit into the compile time constant of SCCOL?  (Which appears to be
1024, as from sc/inc/address.hxx,  MAXCOLCOUNT_DEFINE.) Especially since it's
not the columns that my above instructions stress, but rows.

(As an aside, I note that neither of you have used the exact same version as I
have installed, Linux LO.x86_64 v4.0.0.3.  If someone can corroborate that at
least I/my machine aren't blowing smoke, that would be good starting point. 
And if they can't, that could be a good stopping point.)

I take it that you are in possession of the docx document in question and that
the way LO should display it after open is sufficiently documented in the
attached pdf-file. I can add that my platform is linux amd64, fedora 16
flavour, LO version 3.4.6 release. I can't see that you need more info in order
to deal with the bug. But if you need me to run any diagnostics on the document
in my environment, please let me know.

reproducible with LO 4.0.0.3 (Win7 Home, 64bit)

The LO Online Help says, as mentioned in the bug report, the possibility to
export animated GIFs.  The related LO help topic speaks about "Creating
Animated GIF Images" in Impress, therefore it seems to me as it is a bug.

Libreoffice spreadsheet x-axis formatting - bad

I have a spreadsheet that has numerous x-axis values which are dates.
Previously, I had formatted the x-axis to show staggered values (since
displaying them all just makes a black smear) and also to angle them at 45
degrees. This showed correctly in previous versions of Libreoffice and also
Neooffice.
With this version 4 I now get the black smear of all values which is
unreadable.
If I play around with Label and Positioning settings, I can get a staggered
readable display, although only with somewhat random checking of checkboxes.

Meanwhile, Neooffice still correctly displays the original document and
Libreoffice doesn't.

So something must've changed between version 3 and version 4.

I've attached 2 screenshots to show the difference. One is Libreoffice ver. 4
and the other is NeoOffice 3.3 which is the same as Libreoffice version 3 was.

Hello,

Formula inline with the text are treated as "extra space" by grammar check and
suggested to be removed. For example

Test formula:, considered space in grammar checker.

Will mark the colon and the comma with blue mark and an automated correction
will remove the formula.

in principle reproducible with LO 4.0.0.3 (Win7 Home, 64bit)

But the behavior is not consistent and needs more evaluation, because it does
not work as expected.

I believe that this change in behavior is a HUGE problem and the user should be
made aware of this. The problem will not occure if you use a spreadsheet
without macros or any add-ins, but if you look at how Excel is used in the
industry (example in financial institutions) then sheets almost always rely on
recalculation of macros upon initialization...

I spoke to a core developer about this; They wouldn't set 'always recalculate'
as default. Therefore I mark this bug as RESOLVED WONTFIX.

If you have specific problems regarding this Import Cache, please consider to
open a new bug with steps how we can reproduce.

experience. Sorry. Before installing 4.0 I uninstalled 3.6. That's the file I
cannot open with 4.0 but it is readable with 3.6.5
