(In reply to comment #17)
But it seems rather improbable that this simply is a BUS bug. On the other
hand, if I understand

@illumilore: How did you recognize that you were logged in (Comment 15)? My
experience (Seamonkey Browser) is that the BSA login is independent to the
direct Bugzilla login. I logged out in Bugzilla before I started submission of
"Bug 62397 - VIEWING: Too long name Background in menu 'Tools - Macros -
Organize Macros - LibO Basic - Organize - New'", but submission via BSA worked
perfectly.

So it seems we are back to the suspect concerning some Cookies Hodge Podge?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62398] New: FILESAVE: Cursor saved six characters to the left when document is reopened

2013-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62398

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 62398
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILESAVE: Cursor saved six characters to the left when
document is reopened
  Severity: minor
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: grof...@hotmail.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.1.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Using LibreOffice v4.0.1.2 on Windows XP. I would like to preserve the cursor
position when document is saved and reopened. I have noticed that cursor is
preserved in correct line, but it is placed exactly 6 characters to the left
instead of the real save position.

Steps to reproduce
1. Open Writer new document.
2. Tools | Options | LibreOffice | User Data. Make sure First/Last name fields
are filed in.
Note: If this data fields are empty then LibreOffice does not remember cursor
position on save. This is correct behavior, because LibreOffice remembers
cursor position by user - so if multiple user are editing the same document
each gets opened at the position he/she saved the file. If fields (user
ownership data) are empty then LibreOffice does not know if each of the save
was performed by the same user. To reduce confusion it just opens at the first
character in first line.
3. Now type in (or copy bellow) some text like:
987654321AA123456789
987654321BB123456789
987654321CC123456789
4. Place the cursor between BB characters (line 2) and save the document using
ODF format.
5. Close document.
6. Reopen document.
Problem appears: What you can notice is that cursor is opened in line 2 between
number 6 and 5. So cursor was remembered exactly 6 characters to the left.

Expected is to reopen at the position that was saved so between BB characters.

What works: It correctly reopens at the line it was saved, but it incorrectly
reopens at exact cursor position inside line.

Additional tests:
You can test the same saving inside AA or CC, save, reopen document and you
will see the cursor is remembered 6 characters to the left in every row you
save. The only exception is if cursor is placed before 6 character in the line.
For example put cursor inside 8 and 7 in third line and save/reopen the
document. If cursor is placed before 6 character in the line it is opened at
position 1 in saved line. So correct line, but incorrect character position in
line.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #62385 +++

Hello,

Currently Libreoffice uses its own drop down menus, which are small in
diameter, and sometimes it is really hard to find stuff in it (especially in
crowded menus like Calc currency select).

Instead LO could use native GTK+ drop down menus, which looks aesthetically
more pleasing, and easy to use because of the expansion capabilities.

Spellcheck worked after the Folder name changed...
Was working fine all along with until version 4.0.0.0.
Just 1 day before I updated to version 4.0.1.2, I discovered spell check was
not working again. Anyway I downloaded and updated to version 4.0.1.2 hoping it
was just a glitch.

After installing it last night (15March2013) I ran a typical spell test and
LibO Writer was not able to highlight spelling errors with sample sentence
below:-
" The quik broawn foxx jummp ovar the mooin"

Also notice whenever spellcheck doesn't work the Thesaurus (under Tools>
Language> Thesaurus Ctrl+F7)also is blanked out and cannot be used.

Tried using the old method again by renaming the Folder "Bundled" to "Bundled
Old" BUT that didn't work either.

However when I opened older documents written around Feb 2013 everything worked
fine (spellcheck and thesaurus) BUT not with recent documents written these
past few days
Please help and Thank you.

I don't think it would be good. The LibreOffice is a last result people use and
therefore won't find that sub-component. Please create a discussion on the
qa-list about this to see what other people think. When a discussion is made
this can be changed in the correct wiki-page and with a new make of BSA it
should be solved then.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59367] EXTENSIONSWEBSITE: a warning about outdated is showed for mature extensions

2013-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59367

It is a reminder for the project owner that he should look at his extension or
template and think about adding a new version of LibreOffice to the
compatibility list. We create new major releases for LibreOffice every six
month. If the extension works with this new releases too the project owner
could simply add an item to the compatibility list of the release and
re-publish the release. Once this is done the warning has gone.

In my opinion this is not a bug but a valuable feature (reminder). I don't want
to change this.

Hello,

Currently Libreoffice uses its own drop down menus, which are small in
diameter, and sometimes it is really hard to find stuff in it (especially in
crowded menus like Calc currency select).

Instead LO could use native OS X drop down menus, which looks aesthetically
more pleasing, and easy to use because of the expansion capabilities.

I am getting both types of bug: failure to cross-reference figure captions
correctly in the masterdoc " error reference not found"
and
failure to number figure captions by chapter number in the master doc.
I did not completely test a brand new document - I am using old documents
originally created years ago.
and
The results are quite erratic. Some subdocs work some don't. A recreated subdoc
didn't work.

At least Presenter Console is a core feature in LibreOffice 4.0.
Anyway, do you have all languages installed? 4000+ files seems to be a lot...

Belay that. "error reference not found" is back in 4.0.1. Its possible that
deleting and re-creating the figure captions in the subdocs fixes it. Tables
work fine.

Font rendering is done by LibreOffice, not its platform integration modules, so
I doubt this has anything to do with LibreOffice itself. Please try running LO
in exactly the same environment and compare the results. You can use

SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN= libreoffice

to run different LO platform plugins (where can be gtk, gtk3, kde,
kde4, none).

It seems that the root cause of the problem is that the property mappers no
longer happen to match up for charts and text paragraphs - which really badly
screws up properties on export.

I've got a big re-factoring of all that style export magic on
origin/feature/autostyle - review appreciated.

I'd be interested if that branch works better for calc import/export around
styles when there are charts/OLE objects embedded (do we know of other bugs
there ?)

Thanks !

In 4.0.1 on XUbuntu Quantal, a 250 p document as a master doc with each subdoc
as a chapter or appendix. I too have been maintaining these books in this way
for many years in OOO and now LO.

3.6x was broken as described in this bug report - "error reference not found"

4.0.1 seems to be working for caption contents, but figure numbering is broken.
Tables work correctly - each table caption is numbered "-"
Figures however, are always "1-"

Should that be a separate bug report?

When I click on the miniature (on the Slide Pane) of the second or third slides
of the attached presentation, Impress always crashes (under Windows XP Pro x86

3.4.5.2, 3.5.5.3, 3.6.5.2 and 4.0.1.2)

Opening the same file in OOo does not crash and allows to remove the OLE
objects that cause the crash.

This file is a part of a presentation by Aaron C. Johnson.

Hi Colin,

The easiest way to do that is to download a LO 4.0.2.x daily build. This is a
dev release. It install a second paralell release on your computer and don't
touch your installed one.
link : http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/
But sometimes reinstall the actual version on a new profile may also change its
behavior. I have no link for this.

Deleting a column breaks the conditional formatting in columns to the
right of the removed column. The problem appears when running
LibreOffice 4.0.1.2 on a MacBook Pro 17 running Mac OS 10.7.5. It does
not occur when running LibreOffice 3.4.4. The test file was created
with LibreOffice 3.4.4.

Steps to reproduce, w/ current and expected behavior:

- open LibreOffice4.0.1.2_DeleteBCBreaksBHCondFormat.ods
- confirm blue background in cell BH6
- select cell BH6
  - "Format | Conditional Formatting | Condition..." (LibreOffice
4.0.1.2) or "Format | Conditional Formatting..." (LibreOffice
3.4.4)
- click on Yes (LibreOffice 4.0.1.2 only)
- confirm condition 1: cell value is equal to $Sheet1.BH$1
- click on Cancel
- select column BC
- "Edit | Delete Cells..."
- NOTE WHITE BACKGROUND IN CELL BG6
  - should be blue

- select cell BG6
  - "Format | Conditional Formatting | Condition..." (LibreOffice
4.0.1.2) or "Format | Conditional Formatting..." (LibreOffice
3.4.4)
- click on Yes (LibreOffice 4.0.1.2 only)
- NOTE BROKEN REFERENCE IN CONDITION 1: cell value is equal to
  $Sheet1.#REF!$1

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60148] Clean up warnings from the Clang compiler plugin

As long as there are any warnings left, this bugreport is still valid by
definition. If there are false warnings, those should get fixed.

But by the time I wrote comment #3 I did
9a4fb0643e51cb89649000493e8c5dac5a306bc4, which was a valid warning, so I
expect there still are more valid warnings.

As for warnings left for debug or other purposes, those should be handled
somehow too - we do not leave native compiler warnings in the code either.

Hi Rainer,

I would like to fix this bug. I think that I won't have a problem with changing
the text but I don't know how to adopt Help or Documentation.
Can you tell me where could I find those information?

Thanks,
Bleska

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57176] EDITING: CONDITIONAL FORMATTING not restored by UNDO

2013-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #20 from rh_li...@bmharding.freeserve.co.uk ---
I've just tested and the bug is still present in
Version 4.0.1.2 (Build ID: 84102822e3d61eb989ddd325abf1ac077904985)

I'd been hopeful when I saw in Release Notes that some other Conditional
Formatting bugs had been resolved.

Thanks to the devs for your continuing efforts.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62279] : Autosum (Sigma) Function ignoring existing sum cells

2013-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62279

Hi Again. Jacques,
I'm running Vista (SP2) and all relevant updates. If we continue to achieve
different results should I download one of the LO versions you have already
verified in your W7 environment and see what happens?
I would only be in a position to attempt this strategy at weekends because my
wife uses the current live LO environment for college work on a daily basis so
I must leave it stable for her during the week.
Best regards,
Colin
