[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63449] New: Tool / options / lockup

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63449

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 63449
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Tool / options / lockup
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: paperpush...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Whenever the Options tool is used, the LibreOffice program locks up completely
and the Windows Task Manager is needed to stop the program.
This happened in several version 3.4 / 3.6. / 4.01 and 4.02.
I was trying to use options to see If I could designate another folder for
extracting data from another set of folder in the computer.
Using Toshiba laptop with 1.9 Gz / 3mb Ram W7 x64.
I returned to version 4.01 after 4.2 would lock up in the Impress module after
several files were added.
will work around it.

Hi to everyone,
Librer Office v4.0.2.2 Calc, Turkish Lira sign wrongly placed. Turkish currency
sign must be placed right hand side of the numeric value.

₺100,00 -- wrong notation
 100,00₺ -- true notation

I guess it's easy to change for Libre Office engineers.
Best regards

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63154] replace tools/solar.h macros with osl versions

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63154

--- Comment #3 from Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com ---
SVLIBRARY should not go into a URE header, as it codifies non-URE
knowledge---namely, that some LO libraries carry a lo in their name.

The best solution appears to be to keep this in a non-URE header. If there's
no better place than tools, maybe create a dedicated
tools/inc/tools/lomodulename.hxx with a TOOLS_LOMODULENAME macro. And in any
event, let that macro re-use SAL_MODULENAME (sal/inc/osl/module.h),
TOOLS_LOMODULENAME(name) SAL_MODULENAME(name lo).

The second best solution would be to change the existing uses of SVLIBRARY
directly to SAL_MODULENAME, hard-coding the lo into them.

--- Comment #1 from Winfried Donkers o...@dci-electronics.nl ---
I have opend the xls document with version 4.0.2 (Windows) and with 4.1
(openSUSE).

At first glance, there are a lot of errors, but that is to be expected:
-the formulas that produce errors have all sorts of date patterns, Y/M/D,
M/D/Y, D-M-Y, etc.
-LibreOffice recognises the date formats as entered in Tools-options-Language
settings-Language-date acceptance patterns
-Standard only the local date patterns are entered here
-if you enter the date patterns used in the formulas and open the xls document,
there are no errors
-note: if you enter both D/M/Y and M/D/Y, LibreOffice cannot recognise
01/02/2013

I also opened the xls document with MS Excel (2000) and similar errors showed:
not all date patterns were recognised.

My conclusion is that this is not a bug.

I don't understand the problem (in LibreOffice 3.6 and later). The bug log
seems to say that now everything is displayed correctly, but complains about
the integer value of the date. Well, there is no canonical way to convert a
day to an integer, so how is whatever result comes out wrong? Could someone
clearly show me an example of something that is wrong in LibreOffice 4, and (if
not obvious) why it is wrong?

My fault,

I forgot to mention that the bug is present when you have Display Zero Values

Options - Calc - View - Display Section - Zero Values

This option effectively disables the display of zero values, but does not
disable it in printing or exporting to pdf. Changing bug title accordingly.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63460] New: Northern/Central/Southern Kurdish

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63460

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 63460
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Northern/Central/Southern Kurdish
  Severity: enhancement
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: tima...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Localization
   Product: LibreOffice

Locales for LibreOffice only include Northern Kurdish, and it's named
Kurdish instead of the correct Kurdish, Northern (Kurdish encompasses
all variants of the language, it's unspecific). Central Kurdish and
Southern Kurdish need to be added too since they are basically different
languages. Central and Southern Kurdish use a modified arabic script by
default and are RTL whereas Northern Kurdish by default uses latin script
and is LTR.

I will suggest the mappings without country codes, this is because the
variants of Kurdish are similar throughout each country and there's not
much of a use in separating things by country. If country codes are an
absolute must I can suggest them anyway.

The three letter 639-3 codes should be used in the locale settings for the
Kurdish variations and not the two letter 639-1 codes, the suggested names
in the following list should be used and not simply Kurdish.

---

Codes and mappings (ISO 639-3):

Mapping: ckb
Info: RTL, unicode
Language list:
English: Kurdish, Central
 French: Kurde, Centrale
German: Kurdisch, Zentral
 Kurdish, Northern: Kurdí Sorani
Swedish: Kurdiska, Central
 Turkish: Kürtçe, Orta

Mapping: ckb-Latn
Language list:
English: Kurdish, Central (latin)
 French: Kurde, Centrale (latin)
German: Kurdisch, Zentral (lateinisch)
 Kurdish, Northern: Kurdí Sorani (latînî)
Swedish: Kurdiska, Central (latinsk)
 Turkish: Kürtçe, Orta (latin)

Mapping: kmr
Language list:
English: Kurdish, Northern
 French: Kurdes du nord
German: Kurdisch, Nördliches
 Kurdish, Northern: Kurdí Kurmancî
Swedish: Kurdiska, Nordlig
 Turkish: Kürtçe, Kuzey

Mapping: sdh
Info: RTL, unicode
Language list:
 English: Kurdish, Southern
French: Kurdes du sud
 German: Kurdische, Süd
Kurdish, Northern: Kurdí Xwarig
 Swedish: Kurdiska, Sydlig
Turkish: Kürtçe, Güney

Mapping: sdh-Latn
Language list:
 English: Kurdish, Southern (latin)
French: Kurdes du sud (latin)
 German: Kurdische, Süd (lateinisch)
Kurdish, Northern: Kurdí Xwarig (latînî)
 Swedish: Kurdiska, Sydlig (latinsk)
Turkish: Kürtçe, Güney (latin)

note: About the ku-TR and ku-SY that are currently there: change the
language list name for them from Kurdish to Kurdish, Northern. This
means that there will be three Kurdish, Northern in total (ku-TR, ku-SY
and kmr). All language tools and localizations should be updated and
assigned to kmr (and not to ku), once that's done I guess ku-TR and ku-SY
can be removed. If someone still wants to differentiate between Northern
Kurdish in different countries, then the mappings kmr-XX can be used (and
not ku-XX as ku is the macrolanguage kurdish and not specifically Northern
Kurdish).

note 2: sdh-Latn and ckb-Latn are LTR and use the same script as kmr. I
think they use unicode, but I'm not 100%.

note 3: In the language list, when I write Kurdish, Northern:, I mean the
localization that is currently named Kurdish. Like I said, this
localization should be renamed to Kurdish, Northern.

---

Microsoft added Central Kurdish to Windows 8 and Office 2013. Here are the
LCIDs for Windows 8 (they're probably the same for Office 2013):
Central Kurdish, 0x0092, ku
Central Kurdish, 0x7c92, ku-Arab
Central Kurdish Iraq, 0x0492, ku-Arab-IQ

(source:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/E/95EF66AF-9026-4BB0-A41D-A4F81802D92C/[MS-LCID].pdf
)

A Word 2013 document written in sorani/arabic script and marked as Central
Kurdish Iraq is assigned the code ku-Arab-IQ in the xml, just as the
Microsofts LCID list says (so 0x0492 should be linked to ckb).
Text written in latin can't be assigned Central Kurdish Iraq in Word
2013, this indicates that Central Kurdish Iraq (ku-Arab-IQ) is reserved
for sorani/arabic script only. Perhaps then, ku is reserved for Central
Kurdish latin (if true then 0x0092 should be linked to ckb-Latn) and
ku-Arab for Central Kurdish throughout all countries – ie Iraq+Iran –
meaning that 0x7c92 should be linked to ckb. But it's hard to say at the
moment.

Great - I pushed that. There is more cleanup potential here though ... so lets

Incidentally - can you put fdo#60690 as the first word in your commit messages
so they are associated with here ? here is what else needs doing ;-)

These methods need killing:

virtual int Grab()  { return 0; };
virtual voidUngrab(int ){};

And all their uses; which rather highlights the fact that GTK_YIELD_GRAB has
actually not done anything for ages - and we should remove all instances of
that macro, and all it's call sides.

It was an horrible fallback for the proper integrated locking that we could do
with the hook :-)

Thanks !

(In reply to comment #7)
So, I have done the first step that was approved by ESC. It means to install
LO 4.1and further 4.X releases into LibreOffice 4 system directory. It
should solve at least updates between 4.X minor versions.

The question whether to use non-versioned directories for 5.0 is still
 opened.

I think it's one good step forward. 5.0 will be out some 3 to 4 years from now.
Hopefully by then a Mozilla style extension checker will have been added ;)

Created attachment 77862

writer document with footnote and cross-reference to footnote

When inserting a footnote or endnote, the reference is formatted as in the
footnote style (i.e. smaller font and superscript).

When however a cross-reference to an existing footnote or endnote is inserted,
the refecence is not formatted at all. There is no way to do this whilst
inserting, you must select the reference after inserting and set the character
style or properties.

The attachment shows what happens.

It should be possible - and straightforward for users - to give the
cross-reference to footnote and endnotes the same style as is used for
references to footnotes and endnotes, either by default (which would have my
preference) or selectable at the time of inserting the cross-reference.

Yes, but reportbuilder doesn't use the number formatter.

Whoever wants to have a look, the code is under reportbuilder/java, and I've
heard the 'N,aN' case might be related to some XSLT processing which would make
it even harder.

I agree this is an important change to make. Just one comment, regarding
Sahand's suggestion to change the language list names for ku-TR and ku-SY from
Kurdish to Kurdish, Northern. I guess this is OK as a temporary hack but
really the best solution is to move the existing localizations, spell checkers,
etc. for Northern Kurdish to the correct code kmr, once and for all.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36858] Oracle Report Builder date calculation error

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36858

--- Comment #14 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
Have a look at the example-database
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=66234). When you open the
report, there would appear 2 columns:
   Format: Date Format: Number
Date 1899-12-300
Date+1 1899-12-31-1
Date+2 1900-01-010
Date+3 1900-01-021

When the bug has been reported you could add to a field, which contains a date,
the integer 2 and get the same date. If you added 0, the date has been set
two days before the original date.
This has been corrected. But it has only be corrected by a workaround of the
format. The internal values of the date are wrong. This do you see, when you
have a look at the same date, only formated with the number-format number,
not date.
1899-12-30 has the internal value 0. This is the start-date.
1900-01-01 has the internal value 0. This is start-date+2. I expect, that
this should have the internal value 2.

More or less [Reproducible] with LibreOffice 3.6.6.2 release German UI/
German Locale [Build-ID: f969faf] {pull date 2013-04-03} on German WIN7 Home
Premium (64bit).

When I open reporter's sample on page 10 I see a Drawing, on the drawiont 2
parallel curves descending to the right (see attahce screenshot from word
viewer). After double click ib object these lines disappear.

Additional info:
a) It seems that a new feature does not work 100% correctly, old LibO versions
(I checked 3.3.3) did not show those lines at all.
b) I wonder whether view in WIRD Viewer is correct, please see view in PPT
   Viewer in attached screenshots
d) I currently see only low importance, might increase if we learn that that is
   feature what many users need.
e) might be more a DRAW or IMPRESS or import filters problem.

@BorosIstvan
Please tell us some more about history of your sample document (created with,
To avoid English language problems it might be useful to ask for assistance on

Have tested the database.
Could be the same bug as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63291 .
There is something broken with the events, not only after record change, also
when loading. There seem to be no fields of the table of the HSQLDB been
bounded to the form-fields, when the macro is running.

I change the status to New, because it is another event, that doesn't work
with LO 4.*
Also changed the platform, because the other bug is first reported on a
windows-platform.

many solutions, and 'Before Loading' was an event I tried to resolve my problem

I recommend removing the confidential file and uploading a fresh, very simple,
sample file that demonstrates the problem. Everything on FDO is public so
confidential stuff is usually not recommended.

Also in the future please provide explicit steps on how to reproduce a bug,
even if it seems straight forward to you, for QA it helps if it's a list of
steps to get the exact same result.

Lastly, when uploading test documents, please upload both your pdf print as
well as the original document so that we can try the same print and see if we
get identical results.

Going to try to reproduce now, thanks for reporting, don't mean to be harsh,
just wanted to be clear on what makes it easier for QA to triage bugs quickly
:)

Thorsten or Radek - want to poke around at this one, not being able to print
correctly is quite serious IMO

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63475] New: Object with interaction, from PPT presentation, doesn't send you to the right slide only in fullscreen

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63475

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 63475
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Object with interaction, from PPT presentation,
doesn't send you to the right slide only in fullscreen
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: feder...@gnome.org
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: Presentation
   Product: LibreOffice

I created the attached original document in LO 3.6, under Linux. The first
page has two rectangles; both have Interaction defined to take you to pages 5
and 6, respectively.

Then I saved the document as .ppt; this version is also attached.

If I open the .odp in LO 4.0.2.2 on MacOS, everything works as expected.

If I open the .ppt in LO 4.0.2.2 on MacOS, however, I see the following
behavior:

* Clicking the rectangles in page 1 works if you are in editing mode - i.e.
they take you to pages 5 and 6.

* If you go to full screen presentation mode, clicking on the rectangles
doesn't work - they just take you to the next page, as if you had clicked
anywhere.

The expected behavior is that in presentation mode, clicking on the rectangles
will take you to the pages for which they have interaction defined.

It's weird that this works in editing mode but not in presentation mode for the
PPT document, *and* that this always works in ODT regardless of
editing/presentation mode.

Two other things:

* I didn't have a chance to test this under LO 4.x under Linux; I don't have
4.x there yet.

* I also tried exporting as .pptx from LO 3.6, but the resulting file didn't
even open correctly when opening it in 3.6 (Linux) or 4.0.2.2 (MacOS) - it lost
the alignment of texts, and it lost the interaction links completely.

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: lio...@mamane.lu

 Component: Writer

reproduction case

Open attached OpenDocument text document. It contains the setting:

table:calculation-settings
  table:null-date table:date-value=1900-01-01/
/table:calculation-settings

and an embedded table which has in particular these two cells:

table:table-cell table:style-name=ce4
office:date-value=1899-12-30T00:00:00.0Z office:value-type=date /
table:table-cell table:style-name=ce5
office:date-value=1899-12-30T00:00:00.0Z office:value-type=date /

Where style ce4 has a *date* data-style and ce5 has a *number* data-style.

The cell with style ce5 should be displayed as -2 (because the zero date is
set to 1900-01-01), but is displayed as 0.

The Base Report Builder tries to work around that, but it is kludge upon
kludge, which is fragile and each time one case is fixed, another corner case
crops up and breaks. I'd appreciate if this could be fixed cleanly in Writer to
streamline the Base Report Builder.

Thanks in advance!

hm, was your file set to automatic or manually set to white, if it was set to
white and it changed to auto on your colleagues machine, indeed that would be
another bug :(

Yes, but reportbuilder doesn't use the number formatter.

I have trouble imagining what else it would use. I'll try to find out exactly.

Hi Joel, yes I had manually set all text to white in my file but this was
overridden by the 'auto' grey on (now two different) colleague's machine.

I will submit another bug for this issue.

Thanks.

Text set to white appears as grey on different machines

I had manually set all my text to white but this was overridden by the 'auto'
colour and changed to grey when the presentation was opened on different
machines.

I created the presentation in LibreOffice 4.0.2.2 in Ubuntu 12.10, my
colleagues are using Libre Office 3.6.2.2, also on Ubuntu 12.10

An example of an affected slide is attached, the text in this slide was
manually set to white on my machine but changed to grey on theirs.

Many thanks.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36858] Oracle Report Builder date calculation error

2013-04-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36858

--- Comment #16 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu ---
OK, the situation now is inconsistent, and this is indeed a bug. The start
date (or epoch) should be the same in all situations.

But:

1) I don't feel bound to make the epoch 30/12/1899,
rather than 1/1/1900 or 13/9/1515 or any other date.
Note that in Calc, the epoch is (per-file!) setting between three choices.

2) I don't feel bound to make the integer be 'days since the epoch'
rather than 'seconds or hours or ... since the epoch'

The existing reportbuilder seems to have 1/1/1900 as epoch, so I'm unifying all
cases in the example document to that. Maybe other corner cases are still
wrong, but the true complete fix goes through fixing bug 63478 first, and then
Report Builder stays out of date-to-integer conversion: if it gets a date, it
puts a date, and formatting takes care of making a number of it, and
vice-versa.
