[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64594] PDF: pdf in image
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64594 --- Comment #7 from cp --- Thing is, trying another program that in some way manages to do the job, in the end is only some kind of "patch", because it would resolve for this moment my personal problem of needing a converted pdf, but it wouldn't resolve the problem in itself, that MUST be somewhere else... I tried now with an old document of the same kind, which I transformed - at its time, it was september 2011 - without problem. Using that SAME document, transforming it NOW in pdf and than in image, I got the same problem as I told (parts missing in image-pdf). I controlled the created pdf with (http://www.pdf-tools.com/pdf/validate-pdfa-online.aspx) and it gave error of non-conformity. So when it went ok 2 years ago, and now it doesn't any more, there must be some problem, that wasn't there before. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

There were multiple slowdowns. This bug is about the slowdown that appeared in 3.5.5 and 3.6.0.beta, which AFAIK is resolved. That is, 3.5.7 should be as fast/slow as 3.5.4 now. There was another slowdown that also appeared in 3.6.0.beta, which is now also fixed, that is bug 51976. There is yet another slowdown, which appeared in 3.5.2 (or earlier, not sure), that is not resolved, and that is bug 52170. But I'm missing information to work on bug 51239. If you see that recent LibreOffice versions are still slower than e.g. 3.4, please go to bug 52170 and give detailed information *there*. Please compare *exactly*, saying exactly what operation, with what version of LibreOffice and Java, with timings (say e.g. "33s" or "8 minutes and 20s", not "a long waiting time"). I need comparisons of LibreOffice 3.4, 3.5.4, 3.5.7 and latest 4.0: - LibreOffice 3.4 because it is the "reference": it was fast - LibreOffice 3.5.4 to compare *without* the impact of this bug. - LibreOffice 3.5.7 to check if it is the same time as 3.5.4 - LibreOffice 4.0.latest to check if it is the same as 3.5.4, or if a *new* performance problem has been introduced. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64626 --- Comment #4 from Winfried Donkers --- (In reply to comment #3) > Using some variations on cell(s) & border settings, still can't reproduce > the problem. Weird, as I think I even found the cause. In /core/sc/source/core/data/attarray.cxx, ApplyFrame(...) changed border lines are rewritten (left, top, right, bottom seperately), but only if there is a changed border line to be written. Result: border lines are not removed. That the border lines are removed when 'no border lines' are selected, is because ApplyFrame(...) is treating 'no border lines at all' differently. Back to reproducing: The only difference I can think of is that I renewed my cell selection to examine the result, but I just checked with another method and that also shows to problem (to me, at least) 1. open a new calc document 2. select cells C3-D4 (4 cells) with the mouse 3. apply border with toolbar button 'Borders' and select 'borders everywhere' (borders inside and out, with me bottom right icon in list) 4. Don't change the cell selection. Border lines are visible within the selection, the border lines at th eoutside are hidden by the selection 5. apply border with toolbar button 'Borders' and select 'outside borders only' (with me rightmost icon in middle row in list) 5. border lines are visible within the selection, which should not be the case. Steps to reproduce: 1. [Whenever LibreOffice crashes] 2. Do the AutoRecovery accordingly Current behavior: 1. After AutoRecovery has saved the files, the folder named something like "lu1nrcg.tmp" is deleted right after that. 2. When AutoRecovery attempts to recover from that folder, it fails since the Prog itself has already deleted that folder and created a new .tmp folder 3. Also notice in design mode the handles don't correspond to the area occupied by the object/drawing, additionally the size and position ( as reported by context menu/ position-size ) are all correct ( even though how it is drawn mismatches that completely ) reverting the patch fixes these problems. Again just looking at the patch if this indeed is needed to fix something in RTL then the correction applied would seem to be needed to be limited only when the document layout mode is RTL. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61186] Print dialog ignores saved settings from Printer Settings + more
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61186 --- Comment #3 from Caolán McNamara --- "The newly redesigned File->Print dialog for writer and calc" for the record, in this context the newly refers to http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Printerpullpages the printerpull stuff, and so was in something like version 3.3. So not "new" in the context of the later conversion to .ui format which left any printerpull behaviour unchanged, so bibisecting won't help. "always completely ignores the paper size ... in the document. Instead, it guesses what they should be, on the fly, based solely on the format->page size/page" I'm not sure, outside of the simple math case, that this is new behaviour. e.g. back in OpenOffice.org 3.2.0 with an old print dialog this is also the case. "If one changes any of those settings in the print dialog, none are them are saved in the document" But if I use file->print, then properties, and change the paper size there and do ok + ok, and then visit file->printer settings, then the same paper size appears there, in other words the file->print->properties->paper settings do change those of file->printer settings Now, what I do see is that if use file->print, it goes into its default and automatic mode of honouring the document page styles for different pages. And when print is pressed that those settings are getting written to the printer settings, overriding the manually set settings. That, to me, is a definite bug anyway. We should only write explicitly selected settings as the new defaults. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
