Could you retest using latest stable release (3.6.6 or 4.0.3) ?
Seems to be fixed

Thanks for really clear description :)
I can confirm reproducible on LO 4.0.4.1 (Win7 32bit)

Cell Styles not remembered when applied on Conditional Formatting. It changes
after saving to XLS & reopening that file.

Reopening previously saved file magically produces new Cell Styles:
(we can see that by hitting button 'Styles and Formatting' or F11)
- Excel_CondFormat_1_1_1
- Excel_CondFormat_1_1_2
Above styles replace previously saved styles applied on Conditional Formatting
(in this test case: Format1)

That behavior not occured if saving as ODS (correctly saved). Saving as XLSX
generates different behavior that should be reported on another bug report.

David - It's not about the footer but new line is created after fields. Since
You probably have field in your footer it is so.

I also noticed that some work around is possible because it happens mostly when
field is the last character. So try to enter some character after page number
for example "- page number -" and maybe it will help.

2013-06-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65521

Pedro - I think that as we grow we're getting much better about catching these.
The real issue is our QA team needs another half dozen to 20 or so regular
triagers to ensure that bugs don't stay in UNCONFIRMED status as this one has -
also since this one is marked as OSX it becomes even tricker as our team of
triagers using OSX is really small.

So - I think in general it's rare and will become rarer as our team grows.
Hopefully the triage contest brings in another few triagers who can help us get
the average time UNCONFIRMED down to <30 days (currently triple that) so that
these can be prioritized and pushed quickly.

Just one note - this isn't a general error, it's a specific file, had it been
"No odt files will open" I am relatively sure it would have been taken care of
quickly.

Joren - do you still need me to look at this one or can we mark as WFM? My vote
is WFM :) - I'm currently building so can't test right now

It seems to be fixed in 4.1Beta2

This is a little worrying from a QA perspective that ODF gets broken this
"easily" (and stays broken for months)...

I'm not sure if this is just an odd case or if people just give up on LO/ODF as
soon as it fails (and don't even bother to report)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65371] Conditional Formatting not saved in .xls format

2013-06-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65371

--- Comment #2 from dfreri...@rrwrd.dst.il.us ---
Ok, here are the steps to reproduce this.

Go to Calc -> Format -> Conditional Formatting -> Manage
1. Add -> Cell value is -> less than -> 84.5
2. Apply Style -> New Style
3. Organizer Tab -> Name -> Format1
4. Numbers Tab -> Category -> Number, Format -> -1,234 (with zero decimal
places, Format Code #,##0)
5. Font Effects Tab ->Font Color -> Light Red -> OK
6. Add -> Condition 2 -> Cell value is -> greater than -> 115.5
7. Apply Style -> Format1
8. Range -> A1:A10 -> Click OK in Conditional Formatting Box, then Click OK in
Manage Conditional Formatting Box

Highlight Column A and center it
Go to cell A1 and type in 123.123
Go to cell A2 and type in 123.1234
Go to cell A3 and type in 123
Go to cell A4 and type in 13.123
Go to cell A5 and type in 13

You will see that all the numbers display without decimal places, just like
they should, even though they read with the correct decimals in the formula
bar.
Now save as "test sheet" in .xls format.
Close the sheet. Reopen the sheet and you will see that the decimals places are
now showing in Column A.
Go to Format -> Conditional Formatting -> Manage
Highlight Range A1:A10 -> Click Edit
Under Condition 1, where it says "Apply Style", the style is no longer "Format
1",
it now says "Excel_CondFormat_1_1_1" (which was never an option before)
Under Condition 2, the Apply Style has changed to "Excel_CondFormat_1_1_2"
Hit the drop down arrow and change the Apply Style back to "Format1" for both
Condition 1 and Condition 2, then hit OK twice.
The decimals in column A are now gone, as they should be.

This time, save as "test sheet" in .ods format.
Close the sheet.
Reopen the .ods sheet and you will see that the formatting is correct and the
"Apply Style" saves as "Format1", as it should.

So, it seems that conditional formatting is saved correctly when saved as .ods
but not when saved as .xls

This is a different bug.

I'm not clear to recreate the problem in the steps you listed. If you have
time, can you be more specific in what you expect Libreoffice to do here? In
your shiny new report :-)

Thank you,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65523] New: VIEWING: Post installation, no shortcut icons on desktop or start menu.

2013-06-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65523

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 65523
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: VIEWING: Post installation, no shortcut icons on
desktop or start menu.
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: arifnk...@hotmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.0.3 release
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
I downloaded and installed LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 from your official website. The
installation went through well and all the applications seem to be functioning
well. God bless you all for brining out such an excellent office package.

There is, however, one issue that I would like to draw your attention to. After
the Installation no shortcut icons appeared either on the desktop or on the
start menu. I wonder why. Also, the package is not showing up on the Add/Remove
wizard of Windows.

What could be wrong?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice 4.0.0.3
2. Launch LibreOffice 4.0.0.3
3. Check for Invoking Icons (shortcuts) on desktop and start menu.

Current behavior: Invoking Icons (shortcuts) for LibreOffice on desktop and
start menu not showing.

Expected behavior: Invoking Icons (shortcuts) for LibreOffice on desktop and
start menu should show.

I should be grateful if you would be good enough to fix this problem soon.

Thank you.

explorer.exe is not to be trusted :). I'm sorry I can't comment more on your
Windows driver issues. I have a newish HP 8-core with Windows8, as well as my
older HP/Win7 systems. Definitely feel your pain. BUT, if it's a
Libreoffice-related report I'll help recreate the problem and test the fixes as
they arrive.That's fun \o/!

And why is there not even a remark in the help page?
Could the English keywords please be added to the native language ones?

If you have this task force we would be more than happy to welcome and help
your team. We don't have it or this enhancement would have been fixed earlier.
Meanwhile, you should be able to customize all your styles through a template

Demo Document

Many of my drawings look like after a heavy earthquake after edits of users
with old LibreOffice or OOo / AOO versions. I was able to create a demo with an
old 3.3.0 Portable Version. Open it with 4.0.3, everything looks fine, all
shapes touch arrow lines. Save under new name, reopen with LibreOffice 3.3.0 or
AOO, most polygons are shifted to the right. Of course it might be that the
different position problem is the result of a bugfix in LibreOffice, what
breaks compatibility with old Versions, and I will have to live with it ...
But it makes document interchange painful.
I see such wrong to all positions in my drawings, mostly horizontally shifted,
sometimes vertically.
I believe the change is long before 4.0.3 But I can't tell when.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65129

Moreover, if LO 3.6 is not installed, the 4.0.x installer will fail because a
needed library (cli_basetypes.dll) is missing.

Furthermore, installing LO 4.0 on a system which has LO 3.6 (didn't test with
previous releases) causes the previous version to be uninstalled first (as
expected under the Windows OS). This caused msvcr90.dll to be removed (which in
my system was needed for the Avira antivirus) without confirmation. On reboot
the antivirus was not working...

@Sophie,

Actually support for French typography is rather crappy in LibreOffice. Please
take a look at these two other bugs I reported:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65515

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65515

What about a taskforce addressing the shortcomings of LibreOffice with respect
to French? Is it asking too much?

Best wishes,

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: alessandroceschini...@gmail.com

Hello everybody,

French footnotes have a peculiar style which you can see in the attached image.
The first line is indented, the number is followed by a point and then space.

See the attached image.

I changed the title because I think this issue is specific to French, in

Is it possible to customize it right now? I don't think so. In French en-dash
should be the default and indeed the only one to be allowed. A bullet is just
as inappropriate as quotation marks, it's English, not French typography.

Hello everybody, is there a way to get more attention to this bug? The issue is
rather serious because bullets are unacceptable in fine French typography.
En-dashes should be mandatory, just like angle quotes are. It's definitively
not a matter of choice.

It's the same problem. Primary key couldn't be added by the GUI, when the table
exists without a primary key.

Problem in 49708 was also, that the setting of primary key in the import-wizard

I set this bug to duplicate of 49708.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65512] New: Missing images in OLH for Calc's Formular Bar

2013-06-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65512

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 65512
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Missing images in OLH for Calc's Formular Bar
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: thack...@nexgo.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.0.beta1
 Component: Documentation
   Product: LibreOffice

Hello @ll,
during my translation of LO's OLH for 4.1.0 I stumbled upon the following:
1. Open Calc
2. Press
3. Go to "Index"
4. Enter "Formul" (autocompletion should show you "formula bar;accepting
inputs", in German it is "Rechenleiste;Eingabe übernehmen")
5. Press Enter
6. On the help page with "oMDiG||Accept" as header you will see the missing
imageC7RnV|| ... :(

The same problem occurs with the next entry ("formula bar;canceling inputs",
kfeKp||Cancel; in German "Rechenleiste;Eingabe verwerfen"), where BKAS6|| is
missing as an image ... :(

I found this in my Germanophone version of LO Version: 4.1.0.0.beta2
Build ID: 33224f4f11a05cfad2249e812fcc2975fbb61f6 under Debian Testing AMD64,
confirmed via Germanophone discuss ml from Regina (see
http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/de/discuss/msg15516.html) with Win86.

Sorry for the inconvenience
Thomas.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting. I wonder a user profile reset would solve this issue
(guide:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resetting_the_user_profile)?

Thanks for retesting,
Joren

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for reporting. I can reproduce this behavior using Linux Mint 15 x64
with LibreOffice 4.0.3.3. I'm quite sure this is already reported before, but I
can't find it back anymore. Maybe somewhere mentioned in another report :-).
Lets mark this one as NEW then.

Kind regards,
Joren

Hi,

I can reproduce this behaviour using Linux Mint 15 x64 with Version:
4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 3c8d419f4ba4ea9fa4d00b5691900dae091fd3a

Bug 36791 indeed shows the same behaviour, but lets keep them separate (not as
duplicate) due the fact it is about another document. If that bug is fixed, it
might be worth it to retest this too.

Kind regards,
Joren

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65510] New: Wizard Web page don't start and prevents closing Libreoffice

2013-06-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65510

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 65510
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Wizard Web page don't start and prevents closing
Libreoffice
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: pierre-yves.sa...@laposte.net
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Hello

With Version: 4.1.0.0.beta2
Build ID: 33224f4f11a05cfad2249e812fcc2975fbb61f6

I did not select the version because not included in the list at this time

If you try to run the Web Page wizard, the wizard does not start and prevents
closing Libreoffice.

Steps to reproduce

1. File> Wizards> Web page

Expected result: the wizard starts
Actual result: the wizard don't start

2. File> Exit LibreOffice

Expected result: exit libreoffice
Actual result: libreoffice not closed

You have to redo file> Exit to close (or Ctrl+Q)

If you try to run x times the wizard, you need to do x+1 times "quit" to exit
effectively.

Regards
Pierre-Yves
