[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61805] EDITING: Copy chart from calc to writer & UI changes.

2013-06-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61805

And I again have a really dirty hack that might introduce another regression.

The problem is again the changed order of calls during import. I need to think
about it a bit if we can't solve all these cases at once.

2013-06-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66333

Yury,

You should not mark your own bug reports as "NEW"; instead, it must be created
as UNCONFIRMED, and someone should confirm it to mark so. Even the developers
themselves here don't mark bugs they create and take this way; see Bug 66279
for such example.

One drawback of your wrong setting is that when triagers will look at the title
of your bug, they may suspect that someone had already triaged this bug,
confirmed it and informed developers. Thus it may take longer until it actually
gets attention.

To clarify: I'm not a trianger; I just came across it when looked for a
duplicates of a bug I submit myself.

2013-06-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64163

Shrt answer: the problem occurs on multiple sheets, not the first, within the
.xls file.

More:
My real world use cases: 2 large spreadsheet files, each with multiple sheets
(named tabs on the bottom).

In one case, the top/first sheet is a small summary panel, so doesn't really
scroll at all. Some of the "interior" sheets do have the problem listed here.

In another, the first/top sheet does scroll, but does not exhibit this problem
(e.g. freeze pane and position ARE maintained across saves/reloads on the top
sheet).

So, in my usage, yes the problem may be specific the additional sheets within a
the file.

Note: I have tried variations of intentionally changing something on the
topmost sheet before save--and that did not solve lost freeze and position
problems on the other sheets.

Problem description: The installation of LanguageTool 2.1 is not possible on
Mac OS X with LibreOffice (Version 4.1.0.1 RC).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice (Version 4.1.0.1 RC) on Mac OS X
2. Activate current Java version in the LibreOffice's options (Java Version:
1.6.0_45 from Apple)
3. Try to install LanguageTool 2.1 with Extension Manager for all users

this issue was fairly consistent with the version I filed against. Fedora-19
release is just 2-days away and I'm on beta. Mobile Broadband is expensive
here so I will delay the update until after the release. I'm going to try
again after a fresh install. I trust F19 will ship with the latest stable
version of LibO 4.1x.

Sound system? This is PulseAudio I suppose or whatever Fedora runs by default.
Its a Dell Vostro 1540 spotting an "Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series
Chipset High Definition Audio" (according to lspci). Running 'soffice' from
commandline shows nothing during playback. This is Gnome3

wrong too, since we can see:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66362] Impress: Crash after pressing "Arrow Down" directly after startup

2013-06-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66362

1. Yes, on my LO under Win7 there are several extensions installed:
a lot of dictionaries (I think they come automatically along with LO),
   OOOP-accessories-2.6.0.2.oxt, PDF-Import 1.0.7, Presentation Minimizer 1.0.4
Presenter Console 1.1.1, Report Builder 1.2.3, Zotero LibreOffice
Integration
Some of those are probably still old OpenOffice extensions.

2. I have renamed my user folder, and afterwards I COULD still reproduce the
behavior with my test file (at least once).
But after reverting back to my old user file, now I CANNOT reproduce the
   crash behavior any more. Weired...

3. I actually have LO 4.0.4 installed on a totally different (linux) PC. There,
the behavior never ever happened. But since the 3.6 version is currently
labeled as "rock solid" (and I actually do use this version for that reason)
I considered it worth to still report this behavior officially.

Windows 8
LibreOffice - 4.1 RC1
LibreOffice - 4.0.4.2

I can confirm the behavior on 4.1 but not on 4.0 so indeed a regression

New - confirmed
Critical - opening a document directly from web browser is common task - with
IE still being the default of Windows (who knows why...) we should expect 4.1
to open the file just like it did in 4.0. Furthermore, the lock of the software
makes it a bit more serious.
Highest - very common thing to want to do

Because the problem is that valid two-letter codes do not work in LibO, and I
believe that they should. I explicitly mentioned that it the last sentence of

OS: Linux (All)

When inserting a hyperlink to a position such a heading within a document it
works while the document is open. After closing the document the target is
replaced by a toc entry which does not point to anything in the document,
rendering the hyperlink useless.

The swash t in NeoOffice is a bug there, this feature is not enabled in the
font by default (we have no UI to activate optional font features, but that is
another issue). The wrong font is a bug indeed, looks like when asked for plain
“Hoefler Text” we load the Ornaments variant not the Regular one.

In fact, that's what I did upstream for now. But I haven't got feedback yet
about whether it works or not...

In any case, that would be a temporary workaround for bug #64382, not a bugfix,
and certainly, not a bugfix for this bug.

Confirmed:
Windows 7
LibreOffice 4.0.4.2

New
Major - completely breaks formula use in multi-table setups if you copy/paste
at all. Would be very bad in a professional document using multiple tables
High - despite this not getting a lot of attention yet - I think that the
potential for major impact is quite high. Inserting tables is not uncommon and
expecting that formulas are maintained when copy/paste occurs is expected

Thanks for the report!

--Most likely affects other operating systems also -- currently only tested on
Windows, if I get some time I'll test in Linux also and mark as ALL

2013-06-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66385

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 66385
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FORMATTING: Bad rendering line spacing under Core Text
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: deepjungle.m...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.1 rc
 Component: Documentation
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 81721
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=81721&action=edit
Bad line spacing

I use LibreOffice on my Macbook with Mountain Lion 10.8.4. I noticed in RC
version of LibreOffice 4.1 in my documents are not displayed line spacing
correctly.

With the same version of Libre Office on Windows is not any kind of this
problem. Only after switch to Core Text rendering started showing this problem.
OpenOffice 4.0 which would use also Core Text, there is no this problem.

The document uses Palatino Linotype font. I attached the screenshot showing the
problem and the same part showed in OpenOffice 4.0.

Confirmed - another detail is that if you double click into the formula before
closing the document the first time (open the document, save as 2003,
immediately click into formula) you won't see the change. But if you close the
document, reopen it, then click in and you'll see the change.

New
Major - loss/alteration of data
Medium - default is high but I don't think that this is affecting many people
at all - no comments in the past 3 months or duplicates marked.

Thanks for the report!

This is really an interesting one, took quite a few tests but I have pinpointed
xls as the culprit NOT csv.

To confirm this, save a xls, csv and ods in the same folder. Mix and match from
explorer (highlight and right click, see if "open" is present). If you have xls
highlighted with either ods or csv, the open option disappears - while if you
have csv + ods highlighted you can open fine as long as you have the csv set to
open with LibreOffice by default (vs. MSO or some other software)

I am not 100% that this is our bug but I'll prioritize, if there is some
technical reason why we can't fix it (most likely something to do with Windows
doing stupid stuff that we can't control) a developer can close the bug.

Trivial - doesn't prevent nor slow down high quality work - really just a very
very minor annoyance that has probably been around since OOo days.

Medium - default is lowest but I think medium is good here since it's not
behaving consistently dependent on file type - again this very well could be
NOTOURBUG but definitely confirmed the behavior you're speaking of.

If at all it should be kept in New. It is Kohei and my GSoC student so we are
aware of the bug. Please don't assign this bug to the student.

IMO it is bad to force him to look and care bug reports at this stage as he
should focus on the tasks he gets assigned by us.
