[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60781] ASKLIBREOFFICE: Add a list to a profile with questions which commented or answered by a registered person
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60781 --- Comment #5 from Owen Genat --- I can't support an automatically opt-in subscription / follow method other than the current inbox (envelope icon). Subscription / following is almost universally an opt-in, rather than opt-out method by default. As someone who is reasonably active on a couple of LO-related sites I do not want to be notified by email / tweet / whatever of every question I answer or thread I comment in, so this is essentially a matter of preference i.e., opt-in. I am however happy to use the internal AskLO inbox fuction to track recent questions / threads. The one problem I see with this request is when a correct answer is selected that "the question should automatically disappear from this list". I would think it less useful to have automatic disappearance than to have these entries clearly marked. Whether this tracking enhancement is done via the inbox or the follow list I guess is debatable. The other point appears to be the sorting of either inbox or follow list entries e.g., by date or alphabetic. This could be useful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steps to reproduce: 1. Create presentation in Impress and save it in PPT 2. Sent it via g-mail account 3. Open the message and click Preview 4. Google Docs will write that it could not generate preview, but it could if presentation is not saved from Impress Current behavior: Google Doc cannot open presentation saved in PPT from Impress. My personal opinion is that Google Doc has pretty good compactability with MS Office, so I assume that error appears while exporting to PPT from Impress. Expected behavior: File in PPT from Impress is saved in a way it allows other applications (such as Google Doc) to open it. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45516] FILESAVE: "Restart Numbering" is not properly saved
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45516 --- Comment #3 from Sina Momken --- I can admit that LibreOffice (v3.5.4.2) doesn't save "Restart Numbering" for the first number of a list when saving as ODT format. Also when LibreOffice saves as DOC format it separates the lists by using different list-styles (e.g. WW8Num3, WW8Num4, ...) for every list and then it ignores every "Restart Numbering" attribute for separating restarting lists at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40929] Restart numbering is not save for the first list in the document
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40929 --- Comment #3 from Sina Momken --- I tried to reproduce this bug using LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 on Linux Mint Debain Edition. And I can admit that this bug is correct and I could reproduce it. However you should note that for exactly reproducing this bug you should assign the same list-style to all the lists. To do so you must select all the lists, then press F11 to view all kind of styles, then select the "List Styles" button which is fifth button from the left to view all list-styles and then select the same list-style (e.g. "Numbering 1") for all the selected lists. After doing all these steps and saving and reopening the ODT file, the "Restart Numbering" button is enabled for first items of all lists except the first list. But after saving as DOC file and reopening it, not only the "Restart Numbering" button is disabled for all the items, but also each list now has different list-style (i.e. WW8Num3, WW8Num4 and WW8Num5). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This is now being fixed. (...) > If someone knows how to throw the original exception there would seem not > much more we can do with this issue. A back port to 4.1 would be nice > though. It's a bit of a catch-22. If uno re-throws the exact original exception directly, while best for regular import failures, it's worse on LO import failures since the exception will only refer to a top level com module. And the uno code can't know for sure which case it is in. But it's still an ImportError, and the traceback should help. I'm wondering if a trade-off I made in the current patch favors uno imports too much. It skips the lowest frame from the _g_delegatee failure at a given level, which works well for uno failures since it avoids many extra g_delegatee frames while the "fake" uno module hierarchy is traversed, but is probably hiding needed frames in non-uno nested import failures. Even pure red (FF) becomes something lighter (but not human visible) while pure green (00FF00) gets very different. I generated the same image in PNG and EPS format. They seems to be correct in, both PNG and EPS, inside inkscape and gwenview. The difference in colors inside inkscape is not visible and probably because colors in EPS are represented by floats. I'll attach the eps/png file, an odt and a pdf version of an text document with both formats inserted. Steps to reproduce: 1. create a new text document 2. insert the EPS image 3. insert the PNG image Current behavior: 4. Colors are visibly different Expected behavior: 5. Besides some white space and font size, both images should look the same. PS: EPS files does not work at all in Windows. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67264 Priority: medium Bug ID: 67264 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FILEOPEN: When prompted with text import the application self raises to front in violation of window manager settings. Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: mjoy...@vbservices.net Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: UI Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Mate Desktop Window Settings: [x] focus follows mouse [ ] raise windows after delay on focus Steps to reproduce: 1. use focus follows mouse 2. double click a csv file to open 3. move another window on top of the import dialog, leave part of the dialog exposed 4. mouse over the dialog, the dialog moves to the top of the stack. Current behavior: The import dialog violates window manager settings by forcing itself to top of display stack when focused. Expected behavior: The import dialog does not alter it's stack position when focused, obeying the window manager's placement in the stack. This is disruptive when trying to switch rapidly between windows when trying to compare the import dialog preview to other windows open in other applications and actually had me thinking briefly that my other app had crashed as it "vanished" while mousing towards it. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66025] uno.py Importing bindings causes python to crash.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66025 --- Comment #42 from Tim Bentley --- Many thanks for the updates and the hard work. Running the test on our code the errors are cleaner but we still seem to have a problem with uno.py. In the original OpenLP code we had an exception window which imported uno outside the class (when the file was read). This triggered of all the import checking. At the same time we had a bug (due to the python3 conversion in our HTTPServer class). Uno.py just reported that HttpServer was missing and not why. I recoded our exception form to only import uno when it was needed and the traces showed what the error was in HttpServer. This is now being fixed. Whist this has cleaned things up and we have learnt by our mistakes the loss of the original exception has not helped. If someone knows how to throw the original exception there would seem not much more we can do with this issue. A back port to 4.1 would be nice though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

But I believe this behavior is there all the way to version 4.x. I am using xfce desktop, but this problem is also there with GNOME 2.x. Try it if other window managers and desktops (including Windows) also have the same problem. When I switch from one window to a LibreOffice window that has its "Styles and Formatting" popup window showing, I can click the window icon from the xfce taskbar and expect the main LibreOffice window (say, a writer document) to be activated and focused on. Instead, the focus will go to the "Styles and Formatting" popup window. This is an annoying feature because I would not expect the focus to go there. I want the focus go directly to the main writer/spreadsheet window. That is, unless I was focusing on the "Styles and Formatting" popup window before moving away from that document.
