https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68771 Julien Nabet serval2...@yahoo.fr changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b...@eikota.de, ||ipla...@yahoo.co.uk --- Comment #10 from Julien Nabet serval2...@yahoo.fr --- Here's the Roman's questionnaire too: Here is my complete standard “questionnaire” for such issues: --- 1) Do you have any accesibility features enabled? Apple’s accessibility features like “VoiceOver” or “Enable access for assistive devices”, which get enabled in “System Preferences Universal Access”, are known to cause many crashes and freezes in LibreOffice. So please try to disable any accesibility features, then check if the problem is still reproducible. 2) Do you have installed any window management/user interface utilities/apps/control panels/extensions for Mac OS X like * AquaSnap* BetterSnapTool * BetterTouchTool * Breeze * Cinch * Divvy * DoublePane * Flexiglass * HyperDock * iSnap * Moom* RightZoom * ShiftIt * SizeUp * SizeWell* Spectacle * Stay* TileWindows * WindowTidy * Flavours (from flavours.interacto.net) ... or something similar? And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc. the mouse curser/pointer, like * LazyMouse? And/or do you use any special software which could be related to accessibility stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech recognition software, a text-to-speech (dictation) application, or similar? All these and many similar utilities rely heavily on Mac OS accessibility features and therefore can cause LibreOffice to crash or freeze. So please check if you have installed any utility of this kind and try to disable it (or to add LibreOffice to the list of excluded applications for the utility, if there is such a thing). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68247] Fontwork uses English word Fontwork for samples instead of its localized name
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68247 --- Comment #5 from tommy27 ba...@quipo.it --- (In reply to comment #4) It depends how each localization team localized this term. If Italian team left it Fontwork in Italian, then it is right that the sample text in Fontwork in Italian version is Fontwork. Slovenian team localized it as Stavec, so I (and probably all Slovenian users) expect that sample text in Slovenian LO should appear as Stavec and not Fontwork, because no one would know what it means. snip so basically you say that in the slovenian localization fontwork is translated in some places and not translated in other leading to inconsistency, right? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68247 --- Comment #6 from mi...@filmsi.net --- No, I am saying that in Slovenian Fontwork (like I guess in Hungarian, Turkish etc.) is everywhere translated in po files (in Slovenian into Stavec). But when one uses Fontwork, the Fontwork applies a default effect onto default text, and that default text in LO is Fontwork. That occurence of word Fontwork cannot be localized (it is not part of pot/po files) and I am proposing this as a bug - to make this sample text string Fontwork localizable. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68751 --- Comment #7 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- Thanks. It is just as well you give such great support. I find the UNO documentation almost incomprehensible - there's too much terminology and structure I don't know (and don't need to know most of the time). So although http://api.libreoffice.org/docs/common/ref/com/sun/star/form/binding/XValueBinding.html might help if I was building a product and needed compatibility across versions, frankly I've no idea how. But never mind - I'm happy with it all working now. I did previously struggle with the time format. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68844 Priority: medium Bug ID: 68844 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Other: [Feature Request] =word(cellref,n,[delimiter]) function to extract the nth word Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: androidarmstr...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.0.4 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Originally asked on http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/22070/feature-request-wordcellrefn-function/ Quite often I need to quickly extract certain words from lines of text. Text-to-columns is overkill for this because I usually have to delete all the columns that I'm not interested in. What I'd like to see is a function called word which extracts the nth word from the text in a cell, which can be used like this: A B C the cat sat on the mat=word(A1,2)=word(A1,6) The result is: the cat sat on the matcatmat This is so much easier than hacking about with =mid(A1,1,find( ,A1)) ...and similar acrobatics. A word is space-delimited text by default, and leading/trailing/multiple spaces should be insignificant. That is, when you ask for word 1, you should get the first space-delimited word and no surrounding spaces. The full function could allow a delimiter to be specified, for example =word(cellref, pos[,delimiter]) in which you could specify one or more delimiters. The delimiter, if omitted, should default to a space. Invalid word position numbers should simply cause the function to return empty text (). A negative word position number should return the nth last word in the string. For example, word(the cat,-1) should return cat. Specifying zero as the word position should return empty text (). The function should never return an error. The result is not used for calculation, so an error indication is unnecessary. Empty text is an acceptable return value when an error occurs. The function should be called word. A precedent for this is the almost identical function built-in to the Rexx Programming Language - see http://www.rexxinfo.org/html/functions.html#word. Steps to reproduce: None. This is a feature request. Current behavior: Limited string manipulation functions which are less easy and more time-consuming to use in the real world. Expected behavior: Intuitive easy-to-use built-in text manipulation functions which actually use the power of computers rather than requiring an end-user to be a programmer. A programmer could easily implement this as a a user-defined function, but the vast majority of users are not programmers and they would benefit from simple built-in functions such as this one. I'm not asking for a regular expression parser. The simple functions should be built-in. Yesterday, I downloaded and checked the Linux version 4.1.1.2 and confirmed the problem remains. To reproduce this bug press F2 to Edit a cell which contains a formula WITH PARENTHESES, then use the Left / Right arrow keys to move within the cell. A trail of cursor artifacts will result which makes editing the formula difficult or practically impossible. Moving the cursor all the way to the right or left or past a parentheses temporarily clears some or all of the artifacts.
