the wrong context menu is not only shown after inserting a picture, but every
time the frame is selected and you select the picture inside the frame after

This is not about timing but about the transition between the last and the
first slide.

So what we need to know first is if this feature is actually supported by PPT.
Therefore I would start by looking if Powerpoint 2003 does support the same
feature and if it does where it stores it in the file format.

Tried to fix the bug, but later found out that ppt files do not support this
feature, atleast not explicitly. The functionality of Autoplay Repeat Pause
timeout can be added by selecting the menus:

Slideshow - Set Up Show

and then selecting 'Loop continuously until Esc' and by timing the slides
properly.

However, if the reporter has a file showing this feature in a ppt file, then he
should attach one.

Hi,

I've added 2 screenshots. And just to make things very easy, here are steps to
reproduce the behavior.

1) Install latest version of VirtualBox on your machine.
2) Create a VM with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bits
3) Update all patches on this VM
4) Download and open the original submitted file (modèle lettre_v7.odt) (so,
with LibreOffice 3.5.7.2)
5) See that it works fine
6) Add the LO PPO : sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
7) Update again to install latest LP : sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get
dist-upgrade
8) Open the same original submitted file (modèle lettre_v7.odt) (so, with
LibreOffice 4.1.1.2)
9) See that it doesn't display correctly

The 2 screenshots were obtained that way.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36799] If you insert an envelope into a document only the envelope is printed

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36799

--- Comment #19 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
(In reply to comment #18)
 (In reply to comment #13)
Still not resolved on OSX LO 4.0.2.2.
This is now getting to be a very old bug.

  Alex

according to this comment I move this Mac specific bug to the 4.0 MAB list.
still waiting for confirmation in later 4.0.x and 4.1.x releases

Tommy,

You have confirmation for 4.0.x in comment 13. If, as I suspect, this issue has
the same root cause as bug 35771, then it is still present in 4.1.1.2

Thanks for attachment. Changing status to unconfirmed.

Sorry, but I can not reproduce this bug.
Please, verify if on another computers bug is reproducible.
If so, add step-by-step description of how to reproduce this bug using
attachment.

IMHO this bug may be even locale-specific. There may be improvements inside of
Writer for German language (native language of this program).

Adding Cedric, Caolan, Tor to CC.

Guys, it seems that this bug, and those linked to it, has never really had your
attention drawn to it, but it is (1) problematic for office usage on the Mac,
(2) quite old now.

Anyone care to take a look ?

This bug still occurs in 4.1 and 4.2 Alpha

It is not important but makes LO look a bit amateurish.

This is especially true with the new 4.2 Start Center where the yellow
Abstract Green is particularly evident since it's the first template.

--- Comment #6 from Gilles Gravier gil...@gravier.org ---
Note that I've only experienced it with this document... but... only because I
haven't had another similar document to test with.

Nevertheless, I have seen other people mentionning documents with embedded EPS
files not working properly, so I suspect this is not a one shot issue...

As I said in my previous comment, just install VBox on your Win7x64 machine,
and install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32 bit, but it also behaves the same on a 64 bit
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS). Open the doc in the original LO 3.5.7.2, update LO to
4.1.1.2 through the ppa:libreoffice/ppa. Open the document again in LO 4.1.1.2
and notice the difference...

Gilles.

As far as I remember, I ever saw this behavior reported previously (with EPS

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69017

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69017
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: PRINTING: Printing doc: Row heights partially changed
in printout
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: bugzi...@team.cortado.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.4 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 85310
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=85310action=edit
MS Office doc with columns, rows and fields

Problem description: Row heights changed, 2 pages instead of 1 page

Steps to reproduce:
1. open attached doc in LibreOffice 4.1
2. print document
3. check row heights in the printout

Current behavior: 2 pages are printed instead of 2, and 2 lines of the document
appear on the second page. In the printout, some rows in the central part of
the document are visibly higher than they are in the original document, hence 2
lines do not fit on the page.

Expected behavior: All lines should be printed on he same page. Row heights
should not change.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69018] New: EDITING: Select an empty textbox

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon

This may be a misunderstanding but how do you select an empty textbox or a text
box with blank characters in it?

To explain more carefully - say I have a text box in a slide and enter some
text into it - to select it I have to actually click on the text inside the box
to select the box (either on a character or between characters), clicking
anywhere else is ignored. If the box is empty or only contains a non visible
character (spaces or CRs) it appears to be impossible to select the box any
more. It is hugely annoying - for all I know the box may be being deleted as
soon as it is non-visible but this seems as bonkers as not being able to select
the box.

as far as I remember you should download separately the help pack (or select it

Hi,
You can always select an existing object by pressing the Tab key in the area
until you reach the object you want. An empty text box doesn't exist if it's
empty. A text box with non visible char is an existing object that you can
reach with Tab as said above. To know how to navigate in a slide, check the
online help all the shortcuts are indicated. I'm closing this issue. If you
think it's not the good behavior please request an enhancement. Sophie

downloaded and installed yesterday (Sep-05-2013).

When exporting even a sample document containing just a small arbitrary
text(does not matter if writer or calc) through the Export as PDF feature,
the action fails.
Message is: Error saving the document test:
Write Error.
The file could not be written..
(does not matter if with or w/o in file name .pdf-suffix).

What works is using the Print-feature and then Print to file as PDF, though
w/o
initial page settings for the PDF-document, as it worked with Export to PDF.

Please advise.

The only way to change inch-mm are in WRITER:General, which is _wrong_.
Should be placed in LIBREOFFICE::General, instead inside Writer.

For example, I downloaded LO4.1 and was using BASE and found no way to change
to mm till I jump in Internet to find the solution because I cant find the
option inside BASE (Close base, open writer, change to mm, close writer, open
base again)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57215] Wrong text rotation in SVG Export (rotated text appears as non-rotated)

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57215

--- Comment #21 from Reuben Thomas r...@sc3d.org ---
I just came across this bug, which is a particular shame since 4.1 adds
hyperlinks to SVG export.

Re. comment 17 Michael, it seems that only Inkscape shows wrong orientation
from such a .svg file, so perhaps it is an Inkscape bug. please let's avoid
this mentality. SVG is a standard-defined language, and as pointed out in
comment 13, the current output is wrong. Even if all known apps rendered the
output correctly, it's a bug and should be fixed (though admittedly in that
case the priority would be lower).

Here, Inkscape and current Chrome fail to rotate the text; the fact that
Firefox copes is nice for Firefox users, but doesn't make LO's SVG export valid
SVG. (Also, the chances are that the problem affects every other WebKit browser
too.)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69027] New: finalized configuration item can be overriden by registrymodifications.xcu

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69027

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69027
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: finalized configuration item can be overriden by
registrymodifications.xcu
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: farago.ja...@andrews.hu
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

== Example ==

Let's create share\registry\data\finalized.xcu with the following content:

?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?
oor:items xmlns:oor=http://openoffice.org/2001/registry;
xmlns:xs=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema;
xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;
item oor:path=/org.openoffice.UserProfile/Dataprop oor:name=o
oor:finalized=truevalueExample Corp./value/prop/item
/oor:items

This sets and locks Tools - Options - LibreOffice - User Data - Company. When I
open LibreOffice, I see Example Corp., and although I can modify the edit box,
the setting is not saved, when I reopen the panel, Example Corp. is there. So
far, so good.

Then close LibreOffice, and edit registrymodifications.xcu manually. Add an
item:
item oor:path=/org.openoffice.UserProfile/Dataprop oor:name=o
oor:op=fusevalueMyCompany Ltd./value/prop/item

Open LibreOffice, and check Tools - Options - LibreOffice - User Data -
Company, there will be MyCompany Ltd. And this setting is still locked, i.e.
cannot be changed from the UI.

== Problem ==

User can override a finalized setting that is forced on her by company policy,
because registrymodifications.xcu is writable by the user. Company name is only
an example, presumably every finalized setting can be overridden, and it makes
the feature useless.

Thanks for considering this. The screenshot shows that the problem persists
with the upgraded version 4.1.2, downloaded from LibreOffice repository just
this morning. No such thing happens for example with the Writer.

Sorry for typos in the above: read rather ¨version 4.1.1.2. Additionally my OS
is Ubuntu precise.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68895] Pressing Ctrl-Z ends in general failure of Writer

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68895

It's difficult to work for a long time on my other (portable) machine for that
kind of work. I must say my machines are running Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.04 amd64
with 16 GB memory. The problem was reproduced several time on the 12.04 version
during long work sessions. The document is rather complicated, containing lots
of tables, frames, etc. The machine on which the problem occur is very recent
and is up-to-date (BIOS and Linux). If it helps I can give you any hardware
information you need.

The bugs appeared in version 4.1.1 and 4.1.0 after long session of input and
text formating. I don't remember if it appeared in 4.0, but do not exclude this
hypothesis. At this point, I am proof-reading the document using strace. The
changes done are very limited. No crash since I send the previous message.

Next week, I will start a new document of the same layout, in the same
conditions where the failures occurs. I will use strace and send the trace
whether the insert point jumps to the top of the document or if the program
crashes.

Tks for the interest you give to my message.

 not reproducible on 4.1.1.2 under Win7 64bit.

have you ever experienced such a bug with 4.0.x releases?
do you have other computers to test 4.1.x release apart from the computer
 where
 you see the bug?

edited summary notes (version has its own field, don't need to repeat it in
summary) and updated the version field to earlier version where the bug
 appeared.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69028] New: finalized configuration items are editable on UI

2013-09-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69028

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69028
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: finalized configuration items are editable on UI
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: farago.ja...@andrews.hu
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Configuration items can be locked with the oor:finalized=true attribute. In
OpenOffice.org 3.2 such item is locked on the UI, i.e. the control is greyed
out, and not editable. Sometimes a even a small yellow key icon is appearing
next to the control, in order to show that the setting is locked.

In LibreOffice, however, UI controls are not locked, the user can change them.

== Example ==

Let's create share\registry\data\finalized.xcu with the following content:

?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?
oor:items xmlns:oor=http://openoffice.org/2001/registry;
xmlns:xs=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema;
xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;
item oor:path=/org.openoffice.UserProfile/Dataprop oor:name=o
oor:finalized=truevalueExample Corp./value/prop/item
/oor:items

This sets and locks Tools - Options - LibreOffice - User Data - Company. When I
open LibreOffice, I see Example Corp. and I can modify the edit box.
Fortunately the modified setting is not saved. When I reopen the panel, Example
Corp. is there. So this is only a UI glitch.

== Problem ==

User does not have visual feedback of locked settings. Iz used to work in
OpenOffice.org, so it is a regression.

This result is to be expected - because your table settings are disabled for
allow table to split across pages and columns. So, it moved the table to
page2 (because it was too large to fit all on page 1, and there was more space
available on page 2.)

To get the result you want, go to Table - Table properties - Text flow tab,
and allow it to split across pages and columns.

Hi Janos,
thanks for the report. Have you tested this with older versions too? (the
report is against 4.2.0.0 master)

I recognise the behaviour, but never tested up to changing the
registrymodifications.xcu manually.
