I insist that it also applies to .odt files as well. For me it appeared relativly recently after 2-3 updates of LibO. I can add some details in behaviour of the bug. Please reproduce this: 1) Create a new document in Writer. 2) Add many new paragraphs to make 5 pages; 3) Create a new page style on the base of base style; 4) Edit that style: -- select mirrored page layout -- turn on footers, uncheck Same content left/right and check Same content on first page 5) Apply this style to the pages. 6) Go to page 5 and add page number field with right adjustment. 7) Go to page 4 and pay attention - it is still empty (as expected) 8) On page 4 add page number field with left adjustment. 9) Go to pages 1-3 - everything works as expected. 10) Save in .odt, close, reopen. 11) As you can see - now all the footers look the same (right adj. pg. numbers). Our company template was for several years using this feature, but I think after adding feature Same content on first page this became broken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69467 --- Comment #4 from Miklos Vajna vmik...@collabora.co.uk --- Strange, last time OWN_ATTR_VALUE_END was modified in 5924454a867bd500fdc696bb9939c84425c5e025, no editeng change was necessary, as far as I see. Regarding the editeng hardwired which ids, I believe those are (were?) used for some kind of binary import/export, 305c3ee0d0b4c49de8e8829a99da9a17063363a9 is an example on how a new map can be added when the ids change. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70018] FORMATTING: very bad formatting: Copying table into section with two columns
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70018 --- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- LO has rules to govern different situations : 1/ where to split horizontally a zone of content, in order to break correctly between pages and sections ; in the present case, the 2x2 table can be broken between the 2 lines, thanks to the settings in the table properties, 2/ when to split horizontally ; general rule is : if there is not enough place until the end of the page or until the end of the section column (without setting columns of equalized length) in page ; if the split gives the best equalization of all the section columns of the page (with setting columns of equalized length), 3/ where to position the parts, in case of an effective split : at the top of the next page or section 4/ what to do if a part of a splitted content overflows also at its new place in top of the page/section : an abrupt trimming at the bottom. In the case of the present Bugzilla file, we can see the application of some of the above rules (suggested modification for a better understanding : fill the 4 cells with a/b/c/d before copying) : a/ the first positionning of the pasted material seems computed with the initial length of the section columns ; just before the paste, the table doesn't fit in the current 1st column height ; even its first row alone doesn't fit too. This results in nothing in page 1/column 1, the first row abruptly trimmed at the top of the page 1/column 2, the impossibility to insert any text at the bottom of the page 1/columns 1 and 2, an unexpected empty row at the beginning of page 2/column 1 the and the remaining of the table in page 2/column 2, b/ however, after the above positionning, LO notes that it has made a page break, so it adjusts the lenght of the page 1/columns 1 and 2 to the page length : this results to the incomprehensible final lay-out, c/ note that a small adjusment of page lengh resets all contents to its correct place. What is patently false : - the initial placement made before the application of rules to lenghten sections (I guess that the correction is tricky, with a kind of iterative criteria where is the better equalisation between the different possible splitting points, knowing that the section lengh may vary within limits), - the insertion of the empty row at the top of page 2/section 1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69467] outline view is toast in 4.2
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69467 --- Comment #5 from Miklos Vajna vmik...@collabora.co.uk --- One more interesting thing is that if OWN_ATTR_VALUE_END is changed back to 3990, then everything is fine (no failing unit tests, even if code added by 43b84bbba2519686eb6b0463f422bf695d2d74b9 is covered by unit tests; also outline view is OK). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57433 --- Comment #23 from Emir Sarı emir_s...@msn.com --- @Cor, What I actually mean is the simple perspective - when we put a ruler onto a piece of A4 paper, ruler is distinguishable from the paper itself - because it is on top of it, not on the same level with the paper. While working with LO, it is distracting, because it looks like it's all on the same level, toolbars, rulers - there is no depth sense. About UI cleanliness LO is already better than its counterparts, just needs polishing about this. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70351 --- Comment #2 from Milos Sramek msrame...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #1) Interesting :) Usually this action does not crash LibreOffice. (to be sure, I pasted the image in the Writer doc outside the frame first - same problem). I guess it's related to the huge history of such a document ?? Thanks Milos, Cor You seem to be right. I've noticed now that the images in the odt file are (probably ancient) SVXB (StarOffice bitmap/animation) objects and the images copied from Draw are Draw 8 objects. So these two are probably not compatible and therefore LO crashes. One can find type of the object by using 'paste special'. It looks like the first option in the dialog is the actual object type. For this, this EasyHack asks to create a script that: - concats and sorts all the filenames mentioned in workdir/unxlngx6.pro/Dep/CxxObject and workdir/unxlngx6.pro/Dep/CObject - runs a `git ls-tree HEAD -r --name-only` - and reports files in the second that are not in the first. This might still create some false positives because of e.g. platform dependant files, but it should be a good starting point: Obviously such headers if truly unused, should be removed from the repository tree. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I've noticed now that the images in the odt file are (probably ancient) SVXB (StarOffice bitmap/animation) objects and the images copied from Draw are Draw 8 objects. So these two are probably not compatible and therefore LO crashes. One can find type of the object by using 'paste special'. It looks like the first option in the dialog is the actual object type. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70373 Priority: medium Bug ID: 70373 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Identify unused source files Severity: minor Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: bjoern.michael...@canonical.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: unspecified Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 87450 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=87450action=edit proof of concept gbuild now has a pretty complete view of the build and thus we can identify which C/C++ files are used during the build. This can be used to identify cxx files in the repository that are never build and thus should be removed. A simple approach to this would be the the one taken in fdo#70371: scan the dep files. An alternative is the attached patch which does not need a build and derives the info directly from gbuild. The advantage here is, that with a bit of tweaking, this could even 'see' which parts of the build are used on other platforms (by switching some variables from config_host.mk). So this Easy Hack is to start with one of the approaches above: - make them work with C/C++/Objective C files - compare the result with `git ls-tree` output (see fdo#70731) - output possibly unused files in the repository bonuspoints for making this aware of multiple platforms to reduce false positives, but this is not required to close this bug as resolved/fixed. ;) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The reason for that is that gerrit allow to enable/disable individual plugin, which in turn would allow a gerrit admin to quickly and without disturbing the rest of gerrit to turn on/off a given forwarder... while allowing multiple such forwarded to exist to deal with multiple external services as tb3 is likely not going to be the only one to use that scheme if that prove successful -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63737] export PDF reformats page, but does wrong pages
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63737 --- Comment #6 from David genericinet+libreoffice@gmail.com --- Created attachment 87455 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=87455action=edit sample document with large tables I attached a large document containing a lot of tables that split across several pages. The bug is VERY irritating to me but is also very hard to make it happen consistently. I'm not convinced that it has anything to do specifically with the PDF export function. It seems to be more with just the page formatting function which is also called when doing a PDF export. In testing this, I can fix the document so the tables flow perfectly from one page to the next, do a page format update and everything is still OK. Then I close the document and re-open it and everything still looks OK. Then I do a page re-format and it messes up. You can get the table to split properly across the pages instead of leaving big gaps just by adding rows. Often times just pressing ctrl-z then to undo the changes is enough to keep the tables flowing properly until you re-open the document and do another page format. On the document I attached, the split problem was showing on pages 11 and 22 (in addition to other places) the last time I opened it. This problem occurs under Linux and Windows XP. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60071] Copy table from Calc to HTML Editor (HTML tags - SDVAL)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60071 --- Comment #4 from Eike Rathke er...@redhat.com --- I'm not convinced of removing these custom attributes. They serve to transport numeric and format information, not only when saving/loading as HTML but also when copying via clipboard and paste special in HTML format. For example it is possible to transport the assigned number formats of a copied Calc cell range pasted as HTML to Writer. Effectively the patch pointed to in comment 3 removes this functionality. If these custom attributes are to be removed because of confidentiality concerns (which IMHO is a bit far fetched because any HTML generator may add custom attributes some other application is not aware of, just take a look at MS-Office generated files or files generated by websites meant to be loaded in Excel) then it should be done in such a way that the internal clipboard transport is not affected, and/or upon request of the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Open new document 2. Write some text then Insert page break (changing style to Landscape in the page break pop-up) 3. Insert an object in the Landscape page (a picture for example) 4. Right-click picture and set as following: Keep relative ratio, 100% width. 5. Anchor picture to page, base at middle, centered alignment 6. Put cursor in first page and insert a page break (either letting style to [None] or setting it to Default Style) 7. The picture is still there (can be seen by putting a caption on the picture after step 3 then inserting a corresponding index (Insert - 'Indexes and Tables', Type: Index of Tables, Category: [the category you used for the object])) but will either be hard to grab back (erasing text, messing the document, etc) and sometimes impossible (well, I haven't figured out yet how to get mine back). From further tests it seems like the object is selectable, it just doesn't appear.
