https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70664 --- Comment #3 from Alex Thurgood --- In the GUI, the user isn't given a choice as to the type of BLOB subtype when in Table edit/creation mode. If a form is built based on a table containing id INT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY pic BLOB which is all that the GUI provides for, then a form can be built on that and by default, double-clicking on the control that maps to the image field will open the file manager and allow a user to insert an image, with a preview. The image then gets displayed in the control on the form. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68763 kgiz...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|INVALID |--- --- Comment #7 from kgiz...@gmail.com --- Nice touch with the nick names. Really fascinating work! I see you could not wait for me to reply and closed the bug report. Much appreciated! Anyways, I would like to point out that any modern program claiming to be consumer software of any kind should keep up to the standards of such software. In that line of thought, using a cache directory for keeping essential files can only be seen as ill advised, misguided and so on. So if LibreOffice really needs a file from a common cache folder full of, and I stress, temporary files to perform essential operations, then this is definitely a bug. A huge one I might add. Now if you must know, I do use CCleaner often, but only to clean my registry, not temporary files, and I am always careful of what it selects before I delete it. But for the sake of argument, let us say CCleaner is the culprit here. How was then no other software affected? Better yet, I ran in the same error when I tried to upgrade LibreOffice on my laptop, where I do not have CCleaner set up. Why is that? Frankly, I do not know. Maybe you are right that LibreOffice depends on a file in that directory and that directory is for installer cache and maybe Windows in its infinite wisdom has a scheduled "Disk Cleaner" set up that deletes the file, but that does not mean in any way that this is not a bug. It only means Windows or whoever else is cleaning junk files, which is a good thing. LibreOffice should have been designed with that liability in mind. A lot of people are having the same problem and it does not seem to affect other software. And no software should critically depend on its temporary files left in a folder that everybody knows they would be deleted at some point. I can see you like LibreOffice very much and I can tell you I do too. And I am trying to make it better instead of pretending that everything is OK and some other software is to blame. In any case, what happens here I think is for the actual developers to decide, not random people that can only guess what is actually going on, like you and me. That is why I am reopening the bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I noticed that v3.5.7.2 opens the original SDW with a "#6 3/4 (Personal) Envelope" page size. That may mean this bug is related to, or a duplicate of, bug #52926 where the envelope size is reported as not being saved correctly. The reverted envelope size in this case though is different both in size and name. I created the two attached ODTs by opening the SDW in v3.5.7.2 and: 1. Inserted a manual page break at the end of the first page (to preserve content location). 2. Highlighted all (CTRL+A) and set both pages to use "#10 Envelope" (Format > Page...). 3. Saved the v3572 file in v3.5.7.2 (as it is not possible to save back to the old binary format). 4. Exited LO. 5. No problem, this is not a dupe of Bug 49407, because there it's reported against Draw, not impress. But I'll mark it as a duplicate anyway and change bug 49407 to a 'more general' case (both draw and impress). I use Basic macros to provide a type of modal user interface for the application. To explain briefly, it is a music catalogue, where I have a record set (eg one or more CDs), with several performances, on tracks, of pieces and/or parts of pieces. I can therefore view the record set, edit/add a performance or an existing or new piece, and return back to the record set and see that it now has a new track on it. There are quite a few bells and whistles. A number of forms and sub-forms are involved, and a number of tables and queries. My suspicion is that it is a GUI problem, as opposed to a Database problem, but I could well be wrong. I have some .xsession-errors but they are not time-stamped so I can't match them up with the syslog and may well be unrelated. I am well aware that this is insufficient information to help diagnose the problem(s). Supplying a copy of a fully populated database and instructions on how to use a non-trivial application, with inconsistent results, is, however, not very practical. Is there some way I can provide more detail of similar future crashes? Thank you for a great software package--I enjoy using LibreOffice. I couldn't figure out how to search Bugs to see if this is turned in already. I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. Problem description: The Format-Character-Font Effects tab-Effects dropdown menu is missing in LO Impress. The Effects dropdown menu is present in LO Writer. The Effect dropdown menu controls capitalization options such as Capitals, Lowercase, Title case and Small capitals. It is missing from both my Mac OS 10.8.5.updated installation, as well as my Microsoft Windows 8 installation. Steps to reproduce: 1. Type a word 2. Select the word 3. From the menu bar, select Format-Character, select the Font Effects tab, and see that the Effects dropdown menu is missing on the left side of the tab window, between the Font Color dropdown menu and the Relief dropdown menu. Current behavior: The Effects dropdown menu is missing from the choices on the Font Effects tab window in LO Impress. Expected behavior: I expect the Effects dropdown menu to be present on the Font Effects tab window in LO Impress, just like it is present in LO Writer. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69271 --- Comment #3 from Bojan Vitnik --- Dear Dominique, thanks for bug confirmation. Dear Regina, SVG being valid or not is not an issue here. SVG parser should ignore everything it does not understand (ie. Inskscape specific things). If you convert attached SVG to "standard svg" then it's displayed correctly but only because Inkscape removes CSS classes from SVG and leaves "style" attributes. Both "class" and "style" attributes are standard, not Inkscape specifc. Take a look at: http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/styling.html#StylingWithCSS sections 6.11 and 6.12 Here, I'll attach a simple version of the SVG picture that is completely valid and does not have anything Inkscape specific but still causes the same bug - "class" attribute is taking precedence over "style" attribute. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
