Test file

The third paragraph has character spacing that is equal to 0,9 and 6 lines. In
case you open the file in previous version of the LibreOffice or in current
version of OpenOffice (4.0.1) you can see 5 lines instead.

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)

Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Currently, I see no way to set the color of diacritics. In Arabic diacritics
are separate glyphs and should be treated as such in the sense that one can
select them and apply any formatting to them.

Steps to reproduce:
Type two Arabic glyphs e.g:
ضَ
Current behavior:
Cannot change the color of the second glyph

Expected behavior:
Should be able to set the color for each glyph separately.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71955] New: UI: Font Color button in toobar fixes to darkred after inserting an Object.

2013-11-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71955

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 71955
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: UI: Font Color button in toobar fixes to darkred after
inserting an Object.
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: tyson...@mail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Normally, When you use the Font Color button in the toolbar to apply any text
color other than the default dark red, the font color button would change to
the just applied color. But if you insert an Object after that, the color on
the Font Color button fixes to dark red, while still applies the color you just
used.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type some text and select them.
2. Font Color button in toolbar > Drop list > apply any text color other than
the default dark red (like Sky Blue 9)
3. Menu > Insert > Object, insert a chart of a formula.
4. Select some normal text, so the toolbar returns to its normal state.
5. Font Color button's current color becomes dark red (the default color)
6. Click on the Font Color button to apply text color.
7. Although the color on the button is dark red, the actual result is still Sky
Blue 9. However, the color displayed on the button doesn't change to Sky Blue 9
after the click.
8. Click on the drop list of Font Color button and select any color other than
Sky Blue 9 (the color you choose before you insert the Object)
9. The color on the button changes, and it works normally again.

Current behavior:
The Font Color button displays incorrect current color after inserting an
Object.

Expected behavior:
The Font Color button displays correct current color after inserting an Object.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.1.3.2 release

I'll try to reproduce the issue with different software and post the results to
see how they are handling.

I think the best way would be dropping the LibreOffice name, software name is
already displayed on the menu bar, so there is no need for a second
presentation I think.

Also this would prevent any future bugs or inconsistencies possible.

X", changing the File name from "Untitled X" OR "whatever the first line of the
document was" is the same effort and certainly not any more onerous - and for
many of us, the "first line" title many times saves a step.

Thanks.

Robin could you please confirm that my understanding of the issue in comment #1

BASIC/Calc related issue? If you would like to see a way of recording relative
cell references via the macro recording facility and that this is a BASIC/Calc

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63314] Calc: Unable to find documentation on how to record macros using relative cell reference

2013-11-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63314

Created attachment 89699
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=89699&action=edit
ODS with two macros: Select A1 via click; select A1 by cursor key navigation.

It is not clear whether the requirement of recording relative cell references
(e.g., A1 instead of $A$1) via the macro recorder facility is even possible. If
it is not then this enhancement probably requires the Component changed from
Documentation to either BASIC or Calc.

There are two macros in Module 1 in the attached ODS, which was created under
Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running v4.1.3.2 Build ID:
70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a:

- Click_A1
- Cursor_A1

In both cases I started with cell B1 selected. In Click_A1 I recorded a single
click on cell A1. In Cursor_A1 I recorded a single left cursor key movement. As
can been seen from the generated code, Click_A1 contains:

dim args1(0) as new com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue
args1(0).Name = "ToPoint"
args1(0).Value = "$A$1"
dispatcher.executeDispatch(document, ".uno:GoToCell", "", 0, args1())

... while Cursor_A1 contains:

dim args1(1) as new com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue
args1(0).Name = "By"
args1(0).Value = 1
args1(1).Name = "Sel"
args1(1).Value = false
dispatcher.executeDispatch(document, ".uno:GoLeft", "", 0, args1())

This is confirmed by what is indicated in this old OOo forum thread:

http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=89793

There appears no way to obtain a relative cell reference using the macro
recording facility.

[I assume that by "predetermined template" you mean default template]

I disagree. You should manage your LibreOffice templates from LibreOffice.
Doing that prevent you to make this mistake of removing a file which is used.

If you delete the default template and try to create a new document, you get
indeed an error saying that the file (which is used as default template) is
missing and then Writer create a new document based on the hardcoded default
template. You will get this error message until you correct the problem. It is
the correct behavior because LibreOffice can't know if you delete the file
willingly or by mistake. So LibreOffice does what you want (default template is
restored) but says you that it is probably not what you wanted.

I think this behavior is the correct one, so I will close this bug report as
NotABug.

John is correct. Going to http://help.libreoffice.org and entering the
indicated text returns a list of pages with these two at the top:

- https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Defining_Conditions

As I commented in the AskLO thread linked in comment #0, the first page
contains a list of document property variables:

https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Formula#Variables_for_document_properties

> Also in Help on the page returned from the search term 'formatting

The second page returned from the search contains the phrase indicated.

Indeed. The Writer Guide v3.6 and v4.0 contains the indicated phrase at the top
of p.396 and p.400 respectively.

Hmm, it is not a good idea to anchor an image to the page and to insert a page
before it. When you anchor an image to the page you probably think "that page"
when the software can't do something else than "the page at that position".

If you anchor your image to the paragraph, it will be still on the landscape
page if you insert a new page before it.

I am pretty sure that nobody will want to spend time and resources to improve
(and complicate) the layout computation to solve this problem.

So, as we have a clear and robust workaround, I will close this bug report as

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70376] RTL file names do not display properly on the window bar

2013-11-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70376

In my system TextEdit shows only the file name in the titlebar, so I can’t
compare this. But the LibreOffice issue can be easily explained; LibreOffice
sets the title as - LibreOffice , if the file name starts
with a strong left to right character then Mac OS X displays the string with
RTL base direction, and then we get the ugly mix of RTL and LTR text.

You can easily reproduce this by typing the string:

نص.odt - LibreOffice Writer

In Writer and setting the text direction to RTL, you will end up with the same
mix.

One solution to this is to drop the " - LibreOffice " from the title
bar entirely. Another solution is to force the title to always have a LTR
direction by appending a U+200E (Left To Right Mark), but what about users
using RTL UI? Detect it and insert U+200F (Right To Left Mark) instead?

Problem description:
After upgrading to openSUSE 13.1 from 12.3, LibreOffice was upgraded to
Version: 4.1.3.2
Build ID: 410m0(Build:2); with the upgrade, LibreOffice is not adhering to the
Font Sizes of the System Settings, and appears to be 6pt in size. The other
applications show no problem of this. This goes for the Menu Titles & entires,
the listings in the Navigator, Styles & Formatting, Tools -> Options, and File
Dialog (for opening and saving Files), which BTW, I was not using LibreOffice
Dialogs for files, but now the issue is forced. The option in Options ->
LibreOffice -> General now has the selection for "Print Dialogs" [Use
LibreOffice Dialogs] and that is unchecked.

Current behavior:
Font Size as explained above too small, at least in Write and Calc. Not
adhering to openSUSE System Settings for Fonts. The "Scaling" does not work good
enough to compensate because it makes everything else too big; I'm accustomed
to a font size of 14pt for the items explained above.

Expected behavior:
Adherence to System Settings for Fonts, respectfully.

Both those bugs seem to address rotation of graphic objects. I think this bug

ODT File with Two Styles

I am relatively sure that this has to do with the fact that I use a different
style for my first page (to avoid headers/footers).

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Document
Save as .doc

Look at page 2 and 3, you can see that a page break is thrown in after the
first line of page 2 (which isn't in the original odt at all).

Additionally you can see that styles are changed. In the original odt the first
page is "first page" everything else is "default style" with the .doc the same
document first two pages are "default style" and then all other pages become
this "convert 1" style (which isn't used at all in the odt).

I did the same procedure on the last stable release of 3.6 and we get similar
problems with styles but no page break -> the styles issue is that all pages
become "default style" which is actually preferred over the current setup which
completely screws up all formatting.

While this document is going up public -> please note that this is a final
submission of a legal paper so basically it's quasi copyrighted under my name
;)

Versions 4.1.4.0.0+ and 4.2.0.0.beta1+ view a font problem in this ppt file:
LibreOffice says that the used font is Wingdings. You can fix the problem by
doing this:
1/ Open Styles and Formatting (F11)
2/ Select "Outline 1" style, right clic and choose modify
3/ In the Font tab change the font
4/ OK

That said, I can open this file without problem with version 4.0.6 which that
the font used is Tahoma. Please could you try this version too. You can easily
download it at http://fr.libreoffice.org/telecharger/

Now, it might be interesting to know which software and which version your

which you can add new words. This directory can be what you want.

If this seems not enough to you, you should file a new bug report of type
enhancement.

This bug tracker is not an helpdesk. If this macro make problems in your
database, you should ask for help to find the bug in your macro on the users

Until you can prove that the bug is not in your macro, you should consider that
the bug _is_ in your macro.

that the problem probably comes from LibreOffice. For example that the same
macro does not have bad effect when using with a previous or a newer version.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61667

A couple clarifiers: I don't use Word, only LO. I created the original files in
LO. There wasn't a problem with the table breaking over two pages, only with LO
inserting a 1.97" margin or tab at the beginning of the top-left cell (title
row), which I did not insert. LO inserted it on it's own.

Concerning the incorrectly placed image; that's a separate problem--LO moving
images to different places other than where on the page they were when the file
was saved and closed.

You said the table wasn't imported correctly. How do you import it
correctly?--Especially when the table was created in LO.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69888] Export As dialog changes document dimension when pixels are changed

2013-11-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69888

Jean-Baptiste Faure changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||jbf.fa...@sud-ouest.org

The dialog does not change the dimension of the image because the only real
dimension of a bitmap is in pixels. Whatever you set in the dialog the size in
pixels will be always the same. The relationship between pixels and cm or inch
depends on the medium on which you show your image, because each medium has its
own pixel size. On a screen you usually have 120 pixels/inch, on paper it
depends on the printer.
If you want to modify the size (in pixels) of the exported image you should
change the size of your drawing in menu Format > Page.

Conclusion: for there is no bug here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71946] New: ACCESSIBILITY: experimental Windows UAA to IAccessible2 bridge AT support misconfiguration 4.2.0beta1 [a11y]

2013-11-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71946

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 71946
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: ACCESSIBILITY: experimental Windows UAA to
IAccessible2 bridge AT support misconfiguration
4.2.0beta1 [a11y]
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha1
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

The experimental UAA to IAccessible2 bridge implemented in LODev 4.2.0 beta1
can not be activated as indicated in source.

http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/winaccessibility/README#42

With AT active (NVDA 2013.2) and accprobe (v1.2.1.1) monitoring, setting
windows environment variable SAL_ACCESSIBILITY_ENABLED=1, and attempting to
activate the UAA to IAccessible2 bridge by setting Tools --> Options -->
Advanced: "enable experimental features" does not result in creation of the
UAccCOM services.
The peruser .xcu LibreOffice registry shows ExperimentalMode as set true.

Testing without AT active, setting the by-pass SAL_FORCE_IACCESSIBLE2=1 windows
environment variable to monitor MSAA/IAccessible2 events with the accprobe
Eclipse RCP is also not showing IAccessible2 bridge as active--only MSAA
events.

With Experimental Features disabled, the Java Runtime Environment 1.7 JAA <->
Java Access Bridge <-> UAA can be set active and provides useful AT support
(via NVDA) as monitored with the JavaFerret utility.

Can you please provide a test document so this can be tested against and
subsequently be confirmed. If your document contains sensitive data, please
clear that or replace it with random information.

A step-by-step description of how to reproduce the issue is most helpful and
will help to speed up the processing of this problem a lot.

Besides that, please provide a screenshot showing your two windows of the one
document.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

After providing the requested info, please reset this bug to UNCONFIRMED.
Thanks :)

Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release? Currently
4.1.3.2: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

Not sure how to reproduce if the file is already damaged. What we'd need is a
working file. But in this case the example file opens with missing image in
both Word and LO.

So basically I'd say NOTABUG.

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please
re-open this bug and we’ll go from there. In that case please include a working
docx file that does open correctly in some software.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

After providing the requested info, please reset this bug to UNCONFIRMED.
Thanks :)

Thanks :)

I tried reproducing the problem:

1) open test file
2) zoom to 120%
3) cmd + s to save
4) close LO
5) reopen the file

Voila: 120%. So not reproducible on OS X 10.9 with LO 4.1.3.2.

Though if someone from LO has direct contact to some Pootle developers, it
would be best to contact them directly. From my experience, the bugs on Pootle
bugzilla don't get any attention.

Test file opening fine in both cases, after being asked for PW and entering

Please re-open the bug if the problem persists for you with the latest stable
