The line thickness when applying borders using the border button on the toolbar

printout with this thickness is very much visible. The PDF shows how borders
are printed (Only borders which are imported from .xls are shown. Calc
supports other border thickness and patterns and they can be saved in .ods

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: mar...@struzsky.cz

Open, modify, save, close and open the file in 4.1.3 and see how "dolly the
sheep" becomes "dolly dolly the sheep",

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet, enter "the sheep" into A1, format the cell (Ctrl +
1).
2. Use custom format: "dolly "@
3. Save the file and close it, then open it again.

Current behavior:
The cell reads "dolly dolly the sheep" as the content of the cell in formula

Expected behavior:
The cell should be just "dolly the sheep", "dolly" from the cell format and
"the sheep" as the actual content.

Confirmed on Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

I had to modify the file first to see the problem.

To reproduce

1. Open the Test_Spreadsheet.ods file
2. Make some changes (I typed some text into G3)
3. "Save as" .ods

It takes 2.5 minutes to save on my machine.

Saving as .xlsx is pretty much instant.

Hi,

I have a strange issue and very easy to produce.

1st
Create a doc file with LibreOffice
Type:
Doc

and save the file with .doc extension. Close and open it with Microsoft Word
2013. The file is empty, text "Doc" will be missing. Opening with Office 2007
is fine.

2nd
Create a doc file with LibreOffice
Type:
Doc
Test

and save the file with .doc extension. Close and open it with Microsoft Word
2013. The second line "Test" will be missing. Opening with Office 2007 is fine.

The text is somehow missing.

Best regards,

not to mention that screen resolution is 75-100 DPI only. Where did this

Sorry to read that you did not manage yet to do this. But I think the problem
is that you've not yet read the Help or right documentation.
You can do what you want very easy with page styles.

You may get support - it the enclosed LibreOffice Help does not get you on

Once the file is opened and the range is manually "corrected", if the document

I have to say that I have never opened, immediately save in xlsx and open again

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72241] New: FORMATTING: Headers and Footers inextricably linked together

2013-12-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72241

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72241
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FORMATTING: Headers and Footers inextricably linked
together
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: sirevan+bugzi...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
It is not possible to input individual headers or footers per page. For
example, if I have a four page document, I cannot have a footer on just a
single page. Instead what I get is defining the next page's Header/Footer combo
in the previous page. That is, if I want a "Footer" style Header/Footer combo
on page two, I have to define it on page one with the "Format Header" drop
down.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a multi-page document
2. Attempt to define unique headers and footers for each page
3. Be frustrated

Current behavior:
You cannot define the header and footer for a page or collection of pages
uniquely from one another. The style and contents for a pages header and footer
are directly tied to each other. Also, changing the style for page 2 alters the
style for page 3 and 4. The best I ever got it was to have the footer on just
page 2 and 4. Unclicking "Same content on left/right" and "Same content on
first page" have, at best, done nothing, and at worst caused all of the
formatting to be the same.

Expected behavior:
I can define the headers and footers for a page directly at the page and the
headers and footers for other pages have no effect on this pages
headers/footers, style wise. It makes sense that headers with style "default"
would or could have the same content, but it does not make sense that changing
a particular pages style from "default" to "footer" would change the
header/footer style for every other page. Also, headers and footers should be
able to have their own styles from eachother (page 2 header is "default" style
and page 2 footer is "footer" style, f.e.).
I apologize if this is a little jumbled, I'm currently in between deadlines and
trying to write this bug report while also getting the formatting correct in my
documents (it's not possible, I am ~100% positive).

  Severity: blocker
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: m.schipperh...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

This bug has been following me around for years and years already. In a Calc
sheet some cell will somehow become "Protected" and whenever you try to edit
them you get a message "Protected cells cannot be modified". In the past, I got
this message and it would still edit the cells. A nuisance but workable. But
now, it actually protects the cells. Just for clarity, I never protect
documents or sheets. This is pure Libreoffice magic.

When I try to unprotect this also doesn't work.
Tools, Protect Document, Document is not selected and Tools, Protect Sheet has
a checkbox checked "Protect this sheet and the contents of protected cells"
with empty user/pass. You cannot uncheck this as this disables the OK button.

The options selected here are "select protected cells" and "select unprotected
cells".

Infuriating.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72239] New: table cell properties should be saved using style:table-cell-properties element

2013-12-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72239

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72239
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: table cell properties should be saved using
style:table-cell-properties element
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: dtar...@redhat.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Drawing
   Product: LibreOffice

Draw/Impress save table cell attributes (e.g., background color or border
format) in style:graphics-properties and style:paragraph-properties. They
should use style:table-cell-properties where possible.

This is a complementary bug to bug 72238, which contains samples how the styles
are currently saved and how they should be saved.

Be careful when playing with tables and LO 4.0.6 ; 4.1.x ; 4.2.x

It may be this bug : https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71423

(Impress frequently crashes when editing tables in slides)

This bug (freeze of LO when right-clic for editing a partial table style) is an
old-one. It was yet in LO 3.5.7.

I've been using this command, because of hazardous comportments of styles in
impress tables. I've never had to use it before.

Set Version to 4.1.0.0.beta2, because the bug doesn't appear in LO 4.0.5.2 and

Using Libre Office Calc for a linear calendar (Month, Day, Item, Address, Time,
Cost). After entering data and saving the file, the application is left open
for ease in use. Upon selection to view from the computer tray, a cell which
previously had data is blank. The data can be recalled using the Undo Arrow.
The File Save comes alive again, indicating a need to save the file.

This happens on an infrequent basis and I cannot see any pattern to its
occurance.
Its hard to rely on a calendar which deletes information randomly and without
any command. Can anyone help?

Open the different reports. Doesn't work with two primarykeys and limit > 50

I have found the reason for the bug. Seem to be two reasons why it fails with
com.sun.star.lang.WrappedTargetException.
First reason: in the query for the report are two primarykeys.
Second reason: the result of the query has over 50 rows. If it is smaller or
the result is limited (LIMIT 50) the report works. If it is bigger than 50 it
doesn't work.
Only both reasons together let the report fail.

I have reduced the database to two fields in "AssociationMembers" and three
fields in "Payments". When I start a report, which runs with a query like
SELECT "AssociationMembers"."MemberID", "Payments"."PaymentDate",
"Payments"."PaymentID" FROM "Payments", "AssociationMembers" WHERE
"Payments"."MemberID" = "AssociationMembers"."MemberID"
The report could not be executed. If you choose only one primarykey in the
query the report could be executed.
So I thought: 2 primarykeys in one query - that's the reason for the bug.
Tested it with another database, also primarykeys as Integer - AutoValue. But
the report in my database works with such a relation. Don't know if I could
find the difference between the two databases ...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72218] Missing symbols in squares in "Bullets and Numbering..." dialog on "Image" tab

2013-12-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72218

It seems, some errors cumulate:
(1) In version 4.1.3.2 the file sg1.thm contains the file names *.png. But
those files are not contained in share/gallery/bullets. But there are some old
files with *.gif. Those belong to OOo3.4.1. There should be *.png files since
commit fb6f2e1109abdd09e80dbcd6660a9530fc06ff0f

(2) The version 4.2.0.0.alpha1+ has already a correct list with *.svg file
names. But the files themselves are missing in share/gallery/bullets and still
the old *.gif files are contained. There should be *.svg files since commit
cfddb61cd35faa5371510939a34ef1abd8ffc51d.

I have tested *svg files, which I have added to the theme 'bullets'. They are
correctly usable from the Gallery and can be chosen in the Bullets&Numbering
dialog. So it is not a problem of the file type, but a problem with missing
images and wrong lists.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43777] Database list box display on MacOS X: new value superimposed on old value instead of replacing old value

2013-12-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43777

Note that the problem does not exist in NeoOffice 3.4 patch 0 which displays
the combo list values entered correctly.

Thorsten? You are our MacOS X "FindTheExpert" from the wiki. This is a

Note that even without trying to click on values from the list, the control
itself looks weird on the form. In Design view, the uppermost part of the
control is shown as having a coloured background which is the same as the form
background colour. However, in Data entry mode, i.e. in normal use mode, that
same uppermost part of the control is shown half white/ half-coloured, with a
clear horizontal separation of colour across this upper part (where data can in
theory be entered manually).

I tested with different fonts on OSX in case it might have been a font problem,
but my testing showed no difference in the results.

Hello Bernhard,

could you please have a look at the ODBC-settings, reported in
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67144 ? Could be that there are
parameters in your settings that must be added to work here for me, too.

Regards

Robert

Also affects me.

Workaround to paste only text: do a normal paste. Then select it, right-click
and choose "remove direct format".

With a recent master build (Build ID:
e0f88436dc114209cefe90f0fc6cdf91af503847), if I save the ODT to DOCX and reopen
again, it doesn't have page breaks anymore (except one at the end of the
document). DOCX files created with older versions still have this problem.
