IF not, feel free to change it adequate :) I discovered the following: If you start LO, go to "Tools – Options – Language Settings – Writing Aids" and scroll down the "Options" part, you will see Character line break 0 . But if you doubleclick on it (or mark it and click on "Edit", you will see Character before break 2 ... :( As it is not possible to set this dialog to anything below 0 (zero), I think, it should correspond it both parts of the UI. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67039] SVG filter garbles file - in different ways in draw and writer
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67039 --- Comment #6 from Owen Genat --- Created attachment 90442 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90442&action=edit SVGs of objects causing rendering problems. What I am seeing here is the same as that reported, although it requires some explanation and better test files (attached). I think given the testing here it would be a good idea to change the summary to reflect the fact that the main problem appears to be with the handling of area fill for lines. There are two distinct test cases reported in this bug: - Insert > Picture... of a SVG "DC supply" (ring with line) graphic into Writer. - File > Open... of a SVG "resistor" (zigzig line) graphic with Draw. I have extracted these two small graphics from the SVG provided in comment #0 to simplify testing. The resultant SVGs have been created under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using Inkscape v0.47 r22583 and Crunchbang 11 x86_64 using Inkscape v0.48.3.1 r9886 and are labelled as such. Both graphics were grouped objects with the individual components (lines) having a fill set for the area. The "no fill" variants have had this setting removed. I have then tested inserting the DC supply SVG into Writer and opening the resistor SVG with Draw under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602 - v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b - v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a In all cases the no fill version of the resistor graphic displays as expected while the usual one exhibits the problem reported (line through zigzag). This would seem to indicate a problem with handling the area fill attribute for line items and seems to be a problem inherited from OOo. The DC supply graphic handling is more varied across versions of LO, although in all cases both the usual and no fill variant exhibit the same behaviour: v3.3.0.4: severe rendering issue. v3.4.6.2: severe rendering issue. v3.5.7.2: rendered as expected (stick visible). v3.6.7.2: rendered as expected (stick visible). v4.0.6.2: rendered without stick. v4.1.3.2: rendered without stick. This would appear to indicate a regression in SVG handling, thus bug 62284 seems the likely candidate in this case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72462 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72462 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: VIEWING: Unable to delete custom styles in Hierarchical view of styles list, even crash Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: duanpa...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.2.3 release Component: UI Product: LibreOffice * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION In Writer, Drawing and Calc, in Hierarchical view, we cannot delete any user defined styles, it can even make LibreOffice crashes. [My testing environment] Debian 7.2 Windows Vista [LibreOffice canonical releases] 4.1.2, 4.1.3, 4.0.6, 4.1.4 (pre-release) 4.2.0 (pre-release) Only 4.0.6 behaves correctly. It seems that this bug was introduced in 4.1. (There must be some fault in the software engineering that introduced such a bug, which keeps the end users worring about whether the normal functions still works in the new releases. No regression testing?) * STEPS TO REPRODUCE TEST 1 (simplest case) [Tested in 4.1.4.1] 1. Create a new text document. 2. Create a custom style which can be a paragraph style or of any other type. Here I created "Untitled1" which is located at "Default Style"->"Caption"->"Untitled1". 3. Right click the new style, choose "Delete...". * CURRENT BEHAVIOR 1. It remains in the list and can be applied to appropriate objects such as paragraphs, nothing happens; 2. The view name changed to "All Styles" but the hierarchical view is still there. (It seems to change the name of view to its PREVIOUS view state.) The good news is that it can be deleted perfectly in other views which are not tree structures but sequential lists. * EXPECTED BEHAVIOR The custom style can be deleted perfectly. * ADDITIONAL TESTS AND BAD BEHAVIORS TEST 2 (make it crash easily) 1. Create a new text document. 2. Create two new styles in "All Styles", for example, "Default Style"->"Untitled1", "Default Style"->"Untitled2". 3. Switch to "Hierarchical". 4. Delete "Untitled1". ==> It pops up a dialog saying "One or more of the selected styles is in use in this document. If you delete these styles, text will revert to the parent style. Styles in use: Default Style". 5. Choose "Yes". ==> Crash. LO exits quickly, without any words in commandline. TEST 3 (chaos) 1. Continuing the above test, switch to other views, e.g. "All Styles", then change back to "Hierarchical", then delete the new created style. ==> It pops up a dialog saying something like this "One or more of the selected styles is in use in this document. If you delete these styles, text will revert to the parent style. Styles in use: Default Style". 2. Choose "Yes" expecting to delete it perfectly. But... ==> Its parent style (in this case "Default Style") seems deleted! ==> In the Undo list, it logs "Delete paragraph style: Default Style", but it cannot be undone actually. ==> "Heading", "Text Body", "Caption", "Index" styles are raised to the top level. ==> "Default Style" is still in the hierarchy, but in parallel to "Caption" and others; it is not deleted actually. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72459] New: VIEWING: chart:include-hidden-cells attribute appears to be ignored when references are external
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72459 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72459 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: VIEWING: chart:include-hidden-cells attribute appears to be ignored when references are external Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: owen.ge...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: Inherited From OOo Component: Chart Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 90437 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90437&action=edit Two ODS with charts showing references to hidden cell data (local and external). Problem description: There appears to be a difference in how values in hidden cells are included in a chart, depending on whether the reference (data) is local or external. This may not be a bug but rather an artifact of either the ODF specification or the manner in which the ODF specification is implemented in LO. I am report this as a bug to at least get this matter clarified. ODF v1.2, Part 1, 20.25 states: > The chart:include-hidden-cells attribute specifies whether data points in > hidden cells are > plotted in a chart. The default is to plot data points in hidden cells. > This attribute can be used within styles that are applied to a > element. > The defined values for the chart:include-hidden-cells attribute are: > ● false: data points in hidden cells are not plotted in a chart. > ● true: data points in hidden cells are plotted in a chart. The first thing to note is "the default is to plot data points in hidden cells" because it would seem that this is not what LO implements, at least from what is contained in this report. The attached pair of example spreadsheets were created under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a and are fairly self-explanatory: - hidden_cells_local.ods: three sheets (complete, column, row) showing how data is suppressed from appearing in a chart if either a column or row is hidden. - hidden_cells_external.ods: one sheet with three charts referencing the data ranges (one sheet per chart) in the first file. The local file suppresses display of data as expected. The external file displays all data in each chart regardless of the state of cell hiding. The code in hidden_cells_external.ods/Object\ 2/content.xml (the chart referencing the column sheet) reveals: > > > > ... > table:cell-range-address="'file:///home/oweng/doc/hidden_cells_local.ods'#column.A1:'file:///home/oweng/doc/hidden_cells_local.ods'#column.C6" > ... > The only significant difference between the above and that for hidden_cells_local.ods/Object\ 3/content.xml (the bar chart in the column sheet) appears to be the table:cell-range-address: > > > > ... > table:cell-range-address="column.A1:column.C6" ... > By way of further testing I have opened both attached sheets under the same operating system using: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602 - v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b - v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 In all cases the display of hidden cell data is suppressed from appearing in the corresponding chart in the local file and revealed in the external file. If this is a problem, it would appear to be Inherited From OOo, so I have set the version as such. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open hidden_cells_external.ods (attached). 2. Respond "Yes" when asked to update external references. 3. Note second and third chart (column/row in title) display all data i.e., identical display to first chart. Current behavior: References to external data in a chart appear to ignore the value of the chart:include-hidden-cells attribute. Expected behavior: The value of the chart:include-hidden-cells attribute is taken into consideration, even when references are external. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 --- Comment #5 from Bruce Byfield --- Yes, anchoring in a header works, and thanks for the suggestion. However, what I am requesting is a solution that is an option within the dialog window for creating page styles, not a manual solution. From a design perspective, it makes sense to add the recurring image while you are designing the page style. You might argue equally well that that you don't need the More ... button on the Header / Footer tabs to add a line that separates a header/footer from the main body of text because you can add one manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72449 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72449 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: BASIC: Font Preview is painfully slow, occasionally times out/crashes Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: m...@popmartian.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.3.2 release Component: BASIC Product: LibreOffice Problem description: This seems to be new in either 4.x or Windows 8. 3.x on Win7 did not have this problem. With font preview enabled in the font Tools->Options->View settings, the font previews are very slow when many fonts are installed. Occasionally the list will hang and eventually just close without allowing a font to be selected. It seems the fonts are re-read each time the list drop-down is selected the font preview is generated over again each time which would explain why it can be painfully slow, but I'm not sure why it hangs and eventually just closes unless perhaps the menu timer is shorter than the preview. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install a lot of fonts. 2. Select some text in a document. 3. Click the drop down next to the font list, grab the scroll block and start scrolling. Current behavior: The rendering is slow, stalls and starts. Occasionally gives up altogether and the drop-down closes with no font selected. Expected behavior: A scrollable list of fonts! https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72411 Stephan van den Akker changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #3 from Stephan van den Akker --- As you confirm that this case is caused by the commas I mark this bug a duplicate. You may file a new issue for the problem with saving and loading without commas. I have not done so until now because, while colleagues reported something similar, I cannot reproduce it. Also, in our case it involved older Open Office versions 3.2.1 and 3.3. I can try a repair for damaged files later this weekend if you want. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 70869 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
