My comment in the other bug has not helped as the summary was originally misleading but now includes the term flowing. A text box is a type of frame. Even though in ODF v1.2, Part 1, it states: 19.118 draw:chain-next-name The draw:chain-next-name attribute specifies a name that is used to chain text boxes together for cases where the content of a text box exceeds its capacity. The content flows into the next text box in the chain. The value of this attribute is the name of the next text box in the chain. ... the reference is to a frame (Insert Frame...) which of course is not available in Draw / Impress as you indicate. Some of the problems detailed in this bug appear to be the same or similar to those reported in: - bug 61579: indentation, bullets, clip-art placement. - bug 67299, repeated text (depends on next bug). - bug 68589, add support for linking of text frames. The first two are currently being worked on by developers. It may be best if this bug is restricted to a few select issues and the summary amended to be clearer about this, as there have been several attachments to this bug already and yet no PDF indicating what the original versions look like under Publisher. I have attached PDFs of the first four attachments. These illustrate what I am seeing here in Draw under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running: - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a ... as well as MS Publisher 2007 (12.0.6676.5000) SP3 MSO (12.0.6683.5000) running under MS Windows 7 (6.1.7601). Hopefully this will help clarify the nature of the problems, which I see as: A. brochure.pub: a. minor text alignment, kerning on p.1. b. text wrapping around graphics on p.2 (probably covered by 61579). c. repeated text on p.2 (likely 67299/68589). B. bulletin.pub: a. missing bullets on p.1 (61579). b. font sizing on p.4. c. others issues as for (A). C. compo-rapide.pub: a. minor text alignment / kerning. D. Composition1.pub: a. most examples of WordArt from MS Publisher 2003 do not render correctly. The result could not be opened in Winword. In LO, only the first head line (index of contents / German: Inhaltsverzeichnis) showed up, the rest was gone. Before there were ~25k items - so some of them were missing. I don't understand how - only change I see is that we no longer use XHierarchicalNameAccess there - so that's it, I guess? Anyhow, it does not matter. Also - height is not a problem, width is. OutputDevice::GetTextWidth ~9328 m CEst OutputDevice::GetTextHeight ~6 m CEst I've fixed it in svtools/source/contnr/svlbitm.cxx SvLBoxString::InitViewData: -pViewData-maSize = Size(pView-GetTextWidth(maText), pView-GetTextHeight()); +pViewData-maSize = Size(10, pView-GetTextHeight()); That makes it fast. That's of course wrong, but it shows that we ignore width for first 3 columns, so no need to compute it. Proper fix is to avoid this. And if it's still slow, we can also set fixed width for 4th column. I am not volunteering, I tried to look into it but it would take me at least day or two to understand the details a bit more. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72417] Array formulas can not be put back only as values.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72417 --- Comment #4 from Petr Neudek ne...@atlas.cz --- Thank you very much for the warning. It was not a mistake. but the intention. - I tested brute force what happens when someone makes a similar mistake when manually copying. - Also, I wonder how it will behave Calc new concept. -- -- - Current computer can not handle a million rows and 11 columns with formulas. It can reduce the load so that the intermediate operations using the formula changed to mere numbers. The formulas are quite different handling than the classic script. Therefore, there is a built copy clipboard and pasted back values without formulas. The first block patterns will remain active and are easy to copy, and then paste in the end - and repeats it. When the response decreases (it slows down). This time, they (the essence of the test). Also it is the principle of wrap if a million rows is not enough. - Out of curiosity, I have not set the end - test all the way down when the computer stops responding. Then he must throw LO and restarting recovery begins. -- -- That's what I did with differently sized blocks (estimate optimization). I noticed a strange behavior (edit line should show instead of formula number - and I've seen). So I have this operation done by hand and appeared just described error. Calc refused to insert a value, even for relatively small blocks. Restart LO did not help - the one I made repeatedly and for an extended period of 30 minutes. That's why I made this error message. I was convinced that it is the fault of the program. I was aware of one's mistakes. The first time I forgot that I can not press the dialogue Expand all. Then I just used instead of dialogue test macro. -- -- Today I continued to test other macros, and I found a strange behavior of others. About an hour ago I found out that apparently behaves differently GeneralFunction.COUNT function. Originally behaved as a function of the workbook COUNTA. Now he acts really as COUNT - text does not. Actually I do not know what is right. -- -- So I returned to the matrix patterns. There is not text, but for sure. And suddenly learns that Calc is working as it should. I wanted to restart the computer. So it's just a mistake in my test. Like you but I think that the bug has survived several restarts LO in long intervals. It probably is not right. So probably not a bug LO. Even better wait until tomorrow and then I mark as resolved. Array formulas I and other macros and still being tested. If you insert an image in a header or footer, you must remember to anchor the image To Paragraph, To or As Character, whichever is appropriate. If you anchor the image TO PAGE, it will belong to the page and not the header or footer and will only occur on that particular page. By choosing different Page Styles, for example LEFT / RIGHT page, you can have different heading and footing images each set linked to that page style.
