[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72465] CONFIGURATION: Fails to apply user selected icon theme in toolbars and menus, all LO apps.

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72465

Appears to be related to the colour palette used in the window manager (button
colour in particular).

More testing:

Did a fresh profile startup (renamed ~/.config/libreoffice to
~/.config/libreoffice-orig and restarted 4.1.3). Same result: 'High contrast'
icons set was used by default (instead of Crystal or Galaxy) and nothing
changes when I seleted a different set of icons in tools/options/view.

However, when using a theme with lighter coloured panels like Adwaita, CleanIce
or CleanIce Dark (which uses dark grey panels, but not very dark), the icons
could be changed and the change saved between sessions. When switching to a
theme with very dark or black panels (like CleanIce Marble or Blackbird) then
the LO apps *automatically* switched to High contrast icons and kept this
setting regardless of what I choose. This happened both when a LO app was open
at the time of the colour scheme switch and when the program was opened after
the scheme change.

Even if the icon set is automatically changed when a dark scheme is applied,
the change is saved - 'High copntrast' is used after closing and opening the
application and even if the system colour scheme has been reverted to a light
scheme in the meantime.

I reproduced this on two different linux machines (Ubuntu 12.10 and SuSE 12.3),
both using XFCE 4.10 and LO 4.1.3.

When other window manager was used instead of XFCE (Gnome 3 or Window Maker),
the problem was not present, but again, I was *not* using dark themes under
these WMs. This is why people could not reproduce it under default Gnome -
looks like it meeds a dark theme to happen.

It seems to be related to the panel/button colour used by the system palette.
It is not related to the text, window background or menu background colours -
black menus or dark window backgrounds alone do not trigger the behaviour.

Regarding the other issue (default/automatic colours for text and windows do
not match system's scheme), the colours in the LO apps remained the same
(window - white, text - black) at all times, regardless of what the system
palette was. I believe that this is a bug in LO - someone has set the defaults
to white and black instead of using the system colour vars - but might be
something else. However, once changed, the change is saved.

It is important to recall that neither of these issues were present with LO
3.6.2 that came with both distros used for tests, so I believe they are
LO-induced rather than WM-induced.

How can you cancel a bug report so fast? You didn't ask for another
file. The problem occurs on the file called Water Diary which I didn't
send you. It is 1600 rows long.
If you tried that fucking file you would see my point, you dummy.

We cannot try with a non-existing file...
Provide a file with the bug and/or give more information about this file and

Hi,

(In reply to comment #0)
ODB file is located on server (smb) share (x_workdisk on 192.168.1.2), which
 gets mounted in my filesystem.
How do you mount it?

The database can be opened and edited on other computers running Ubuntu 12.04
 and 12.10.
With LibreOffice 4.1, or with an older version?

My PC could also open and
edit the ODB file when running Ubuntu 13.04 (and the version of LibreOffice
that came with that version of OS).
Which is version 4.0 I guess. What happens if you open it on this PC from the
command line (like 'libreoffice smb://192.168.1.2/share_name/doc_name.odb')?

I have just actualized LibreOffice, and then, my program Antidote can not
integrate anymore LibreOffice. Now I am receiving this message: loading
 component library failed:

libAntidote_32.OOo.MT.P100.so presumably links against some (version of a)
library that LO no longer provides. Please type readelf -d
/home/tg/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/lugs3noy.tmp_/Installation.Antidote.LibreOffice.4.oxt/libAntidote_32.OOo.MT.P100.so

(That Antidote extension is not available for free, is it?)

 Please be careful.
Similar expressions is maybe also Writer. One student described that came
after the fall of the seminar work.
It's here - but in the Czech language. Unfortunately, not whether the LO
used and what version. But speech is very similar. Waiting for the backlash.
It may not come (probably not have the time - wrote seminal work from the
 beginning).
 Original Source: http://forum.openoffice.cz/viewtopic.php?pid=15272
 - I tried to contact him and I asked for an urgent reply. But this probably
will not succeed. I myself have examined over hexaeditor. The body of work
 is completely empty.
 - In the process of transcription end ODT / ZIP system can not open the zip
archive. Hexaeditor shows that there is not one bit and I got it about 35
 kilobytes
 - I do not do unnecessary alarm, but it may be a mistake LO. It is very
annoying. Few people use the option save a copy, which should seek to
avoid. Perhaps it would be sufficient to set the default save a copy and
give the opportunity to turn this off.

This my warning is not justified. The referenced error Writer became the
ApacheOffice.

Thank you :)

The #33827 would be an ideal solution, but obviously it is *not* going to be
implemented, not even any time soon.

The #32419 would be as good as what I propose. My proposal *might* be wee bit
more logical w/r to the look-and-feel (font settings grouped with font
settings).

I'm using the python variation of easyhack mentioned in #32419. Mind you, it
stopped working at least in libreoffice 4.1 and libreofficedev 4.2. API changed
or something. Can't find my comment and screenshot, though.

Would the hacky scripts changing settings formula objects still work in
libreoffice 4.1 and libreofficedev 4.2 ? I've been happily using python
variation of somebody's code I've seen on forumas or something, going like:

import uno

def SameFontSettingsForAll( ):
  oDoc = XSCRIPTCONTEXT.getDocument()
  all_embeds = oDoc.getEmbeddedObjects()
  all_embeds_cnt = all_embeds.getCount()
  for i in xrange(0,all_embeds_cnt) :
embedded = all_embeds.getByIndex(i);
if embedded.Model.supportsService(com.sun.star.formula.FormulaProperties)
:
...

But in libreoffice 4.1 and libreofficedev 4.2 this fails with explanation:

global name 'xrange' is not defined

What should I change?

still crashes, but not always:

No crash:
- click on the field by the left button - the field is highlighted (gray, with
frame)
- click with the right button on the highlighted field. If the date context
menu opens (often the general context menu opens), its items are highlighted,
if hovering the cursor over them. Click on and item - the menu closes and the
field is changed. No crash

Crash:
- deselect the field by clicking somewhere outside it
- click with the right button on the not highlighted field. The date context
menu opens, but its items do not highlight, if hovering the cursor over them.
- click on an item. In contrary to the above case, the menu does not close.
Just the items start to highlight, if hovering over them
- click on an item, LO crashes

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70653] EDITING: impossible to change existing math catalog element's font face without its name auto-switched to Unicode value

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70653

--- Comment #4 from Yury yury.tarasiev...@gmail.com ---
Thank you for looking into it :)

The workaround of sorts is to manually edit registrymodifications.xcu, adding
the copy of some of the existing entries with name, set and codepoint changed.

By the way, styles (bold etc.) changes also seem to fail working. E.g., it
seems I can't get bold outlines of 'CMU Sans Serif/Serif' series. Entry is
selected, but normal style is rendered nevertheless.

ODTs containing formula in/out of frame under various versions of LO.

(In reply to comment #8)
Sorry for missing the obvious but what is not displaying correctly? Could
 you please provide a screenshot?

There is a screenshot provided in attachment 81228. I can't reproduce the bug
though. I have created ODTs (refer attached) including an object with the
indicated formula under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using:

- v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6
- v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602
- v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b

- v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a

... as well as under Windows 7 (6.1.7601) using:

- v4.1.2.2 Build ID: 281b75f427729060b6446ddb3777b32f957a8fb

None of the files exhibit the missing vinculum / virga when the formula is
contained in a frame.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72477] Search / Find misses warning on Top of the Document on a particular (type of) Document

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72477

--- Comment #5 from Gabriele Ponzo gpo...@gmail.com ---
This is the link to the file:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/9/96/WG40-WriterGuideLO.odt

I'd like to attach a screencam if it would be possible, since there happens a
so many unpredictable behaviors oh this (valuable) document that it would be
too long to describe them all…

For example:

1. Start LibreOffice
2. File Open WG40-WriterGuideLO
3. Edit Find
4. Type protect and then the Down Arrow
5. It reaches the first recurrence of protect word in Page 0 - TOC (3rd page)
6. Push Up Arrow in Find Bar
7. It gives the warning to proceed searching from the bottom
8. Press YES
9. It look like it found another recurrence at the bottom, but without moving
the view to the point of finding
10. Push Up Arrow again in Find Bar
11. Cycle from point 9. about 6 times until seeing the view moving
12. Press Down Arrow in Find Bar
13. It look like it found another recurrence at the bottom, but without moving
the view to the point of finding
14. Cycle from point 9. about 6 times until having the warning to continue
searching from the top

It looks like there are problems managing last pages (Index), or I though also
some problem may arise jumping in and out of tables, which determines the
appearing and disappearing of the Table Toolbar with a delay for that…

I've noticed same behaviors using Edit Find Replace (with Backwards advanced
option checked when needed)

I have an iMac 27 late 2009 with a (self made) Fusion Drive (128GB SSD + 3TB
HDD) and I had already installed all this before installing this Beta:
+ LibreOffice Version: 4.1.3.2
Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a
with Italian Package
+ Sun OpenOffice.org 3.2.0 - OOO320m12 (Build:9483) - almost never used
+ NeoOffice 3.1.2 Patch 9 - never used

Finally I can state that I get the same problem with LibO 4.1.3.2.

Hope to have been useful and available for further infos.

This would appear to be a duplicate of bug 47352. The issue is largely with the
use of italics for variables and the gap this creates between the base of the

  Severity: trivial
Classification: Unclassified

Screensho-of-LO4.2Beta-Layouts-view-Impress-Sidebar.png

This is a minor/trivial bug in the UI, but the mouseover effects in the new
Impress Sidebar in LO 4.2Beta2 are not consistent.

In the Layouts pane of the sidebar in LO4.2Beta2 the old and outdated look of
the mouseover effect is used (black rectangles on mouseover as introduced in
OpenOffice.org 2.0), see the first attached screenshot (you don't see the
tooltips in the screenshot). It looks very outdated in 2013. In the Master Page
pane of the sidebar in LO4.2Beta2, the modern look is applied, which uses no
explicit mouseover effect except that the tool tip is shown.

In LibreOffice 4.1.x Impress and already many versions before, the 'modern'
look was applied. Please see second screenshot (you don't see the tooltip in
the screenshot.

Please change the Sidebar Layouts 4.2 mouseover effect to the one used in LO4.1
so that the mouseover effects in the new sidebar are consistent.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72504

(In reply to comment #1)
 Hi,

 (In reply to comment #0)
ODB file is located on server (smb) share (x_workdisk on 192.168.1.2), which
  gets mounted in my filesystem.
 How do you mount it?
Using GUI. Bookmarked in Files, so clicking on bookmark mounts and opens
folder. Originally as Connect to Server. I've been doing it the same way for
years.

The database can be opened and edited on other computers running Ubuntu
  12.04
  and 12.10.
With LibreOffice 4.1, or with an older version?
With older version (3.5.7.2) on 12.04.

My PC could also open and
edit the ODB file when running Ubuntu 13.04 (and the version of LibreOffice
that came with that version of OS).
Which is version 4.0 I guess. What happens if you open it on this PC from
 the command line (like 'libreoffice
 smb://192.168.1.2/share_name/doc_name.odb')?
Exactly the same thing. Main database window opens OK, double-click on a table
or form to open it, and the same error message is displayed.
LibreOffice 4.1.2.3 on my PC is able to open and edit ODS and ODT files that
are located in the same folder on the server. Problem is specific to ODB
files, it seems.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72514] New: VaryColorsbyPoint changes legend colors, not point colors

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72514

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72514
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: VaryColorsbyPoint changes legend colors, not point
colors
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: bugzi...@dorien.me.uk
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.5.7.2 release
 Component: Chart
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 90504
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90504action=edit
Simple scatter chart and macro to change value of VaryColorsbyPoint

The LibreOffice Calc spreadsheet contains a Scatter chart. The BASIC macro
VaryColors is used to turn the attribute DataSeries.VaryColorsbyPoint to TRUE.
This creates a legend where each point has a different color. However, the
points in the scatterchart are not recolored: each retains the default color.

The expected behavior would be vary point colors so as to match the data points
to the colors given in the legend.

UPDATE while recreating: behavior is inconsistent. Sometimes, cycling the
VaryColorsbyPoints flag (edit VaryColors macro and rerun) will set the legend
to a single color and the points to multiple colors; sometimes it will create
the correct behavior of multiple matching colors for both legend and points.
I cannot isolate anything different between the different attempts.

Raising to high major since it's not obvious for OS X users (a lot of them

browser this totally cripples the ability to report OS X bugs.

Adjusting title since it's confirmed for Safari 6 and 7.

The latest upload, try.ods, was created afresh on a Windows XP laptop, and
exhibits the problem in a much smaller and simpler file. It doesn't, however,
appear in the attachment list as I see it on this page. Maybe I've done
something wrong on this website.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 37678] Bitmap export resolution limited to 97 dpi

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37678

--- Comment #17 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com ---
Created attachment 90509
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90509action=edit
BMP, GIF, JPG, PBM, PNG, and PPM exports at 96dpi and 300dpi from ODGs.

Here is a bit more information on this problem. Of the raster file types
available via File Export only BMP, GIF, JPG, PBM, PNG, and PPM offer the
Options dialog where dimension and resolution can be adjusted. As Alexandr
indicates in comment #11 this problem is not restricted to BMP. The workaround
suggested by Regina in comment #12 (set the resolution and then subsequently
adjust the dimension) works for shapes (attached square ODG+rasters) but is
not effective for lines: the resultant files produced are basically identical
e.g., the attached line graphics are produced from the one inch line ODG
provided in attachment 47239.

To further complicate matters, as I indicated in comment #14 there currently
appears to be a separate issue with the GIF and PNG filters not handling
exporting of a line object under v4.1.3.2. The attached files indicate the
results of exporting a one inch line and 1x1 inch square to the indicated
raster formats under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using v4.1.3.2 Build ID:
70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a.

(In reply to comment #16)
@Owen would you please come up with a better summary description of the bug?

I will quote my comment from bug 69888 here for clarity:

At some point I would hope the Resolution field is decoupled from the
 dimension
fields i.e., instead of single Size section a Dimension and Resolution
 section
are provided, each with value and unit selections.

Summary accordingly altered to Export to raster formats (BMP, GIF, JPG, PBM,
PNG, and PPM) links Resolution field with dimension fields (Width/Height).
These attributes are generally considered independently variable (and expected
to behave as such unless explicitly linked) when creating graphics.

Platform changed from Windows to All as a result of comment #9, comment #11,
comment #14, and comment #17.

Original file.

Embedded .xlsx file is not exported after saving file on LO.

- Open attached file on LO.
- Save file on LO as docx file.
- Open saved file on MS Word.
- Right click on chart on MS and select edit Data option.
- After selecting edit data option on saved file nothing happens.
- But on slecting same option for original file it allows to edit chart by
opening chart in word exel format.

Checked by extracting file, I found that .xlsx file is missing from embedded
folder in word.

Expected behaviour is, chart should be editable on both files original and
saved on LO in MS Word.

I can reproduce this bug also with ftp (same env as above). I'll change the
summary to reflect that.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72521] New: KDE: misbehavior of combo-boxes in Character dialog

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72521

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72521
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: KDE: misbehavior of combo-boxes in Character dialog
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: momonas...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Pre-requisites:

1. Install KDE4 integration ('libreoffice-kde' package in
Fedora\Debian\Ubuntu), and make sure you're actually using it (by running under
KDE or by exporting 'SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4').
2. Enable CTL\Asian support (Tools-Options...-Language Settings-Languages).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Writer.
2. Go to Format-Character...
(3. Switch to 'Font' tab if it was opened with another tab.)
4. Click on one of the combo-boxes (Family\Style\Size).

Results:

Font Family combo-box gets wider with each click, making the other combo-boxes
impossible to use.

Tested with:
4.1.3.2 under Ubuntu 13.10 (64-bit) Fedora 19 (64-bit)
master build (with --enable-kde4, Build ID:
93210ec3b3e7e773e998a3771136043748232f85)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72502] Installing LibreOfficeDev 4.2.0.0.beta2 affects LibreOffice 4.1.3.2's performance

2013-12-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72502

Oh sorry, I forgot to write how I solved the problem and that other relevant
info you ask for. I am using Ubuntu 13.10 amd64. To solve the problem I will
continue the steps I wrote before on comment #0 (description):

6. Remove LibreOfficeDev and reboot the computer.
7. Repeat step 3 again. The freezing time should be gone.

This was what solved my problem. Before this I tried both restarting
LibreOffice and rebooting the computer and trying LibreOffice, but nothing was
solved.

The next thing that occurred to me was that maybe LibreOfficeDev was sharing
some new faulty file with LibreOffice and so I tried removing LibreOfficeDev.
This was successful after a reboot.
