With installer 4.2.0 beta1 and beta2 it's not possible not to install the
 Base module !

It is possible, but not from the UI. So on Windows only power users would
encounter this problem, and they can workaround it. I wonder, what the
situation is on Linux.

I am sorry. I do not longer work on LibreOffice = removing myself from
assignee.

For those who would work on this bug. The previous fix solved a regression
related to libgetuid.so. I did a quick look on how the code has changed after
the last fix. I wonder if the regression might be caused by the solver-related
clean up, see
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/diff/solenv/bin/modules/installer/download.pm?id=5d8f48c81eac8650315b936d0e89ad1d54b566fc
I am sorry, I can't debug it myself. I do not have a build around and time to
do it.

Text alignment should be as written in the attached document. Currently what
was LTR right aligned in MS Word turns with LO into left aligned. This happens
*only* if the previous paragraph was RTL left aligned.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60183] Feature request: Allow regular expressions in cell functions like SUBSTITUTE()

2013-12-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #6 from Javier Alfonso phoneixsego...@gmail.com ---
I also want to request that function SUBSTITUTE() can be used with regular
expression or that a new function will be created for this functionality.

I have seen that this was closed for inactivity and leak of information so here
we go.

For examples we will use the next basic table:

  AB
---
  1 | Foo | |
---
  2 | Boo | |
---
  3 | X | |
---

Note that I'm Spanish so you may see a little bad English :( so sorry in
advance. Also will use regex as regular expressions, so it's a little sort.

WHAT WE HAVE NOW
-

You can use SUBSTITUTE() function to search for a exact text and replace it.
For example:

B1 = SUBSTITUTE(A1;Foo;Cool) = Cool
B2 = SUBSTITUTE(A2;Foo;Cool) = Boo

This have limitations, you need to specify the search text exactly and many
times it isn't know or have many variants to make a SUBSTITUTE() concatenation
a doable option.

Also we have many functions that accept regex but only to search, for example
SEARCH() function, but with this we need to make very complex expressions.

WHAT WE WANT TO HAVE
-

A thing that will solve this problem and add a great power to spreadsheets is
the addition of regex to substitute function.

We have two big alternatives, change SUBSTITUTE() to accept regular expressions
or add a new function that accept regular expressions.

 * Edit SUBSTITUTE() to accept a parameter that enable regular expressions. For
example something like `B2 = SUBSTITUTE(A2;.(oo);C\1l) = Boo` and `B2 =
SUBSTITUTE(A2;.(oo);C\1l, 1) = Cool`. This make it compatible with old
version.

 * Edit SUBSTITUTE() to accept regex by default. I think this will confuse the
user and don't recommend it.

 * Add a new function, for example REGEX(text; regex; reemplacement). This
(IMO) is the best option, no confuse and add new functionality.

REGEX() function definition
--

REGEX(text; regex; replacement; [occurrences])

 * text. A cell or text to search in it.
 * regex. A regular expression that must be matched.
 * replacement. A text (possibly with backtrack expression) to substitute the
matched text.
 * occurrences. A optional number that indicate how many times you can apply
the substitution.

For example:

  B1 = SUBSTITUTE(A1;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Fool
  B2 = SUBSTITUTE(A2;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Bool
  B3 = SUBSTITUTE(A3;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Xl

Sorry in the last examples I have used SUBSTITUTE instead of REGEX. They must
be:

  B1 = REGEX(A1;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Fool
  B2 = REGEX(A2;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Bool
  B3 = REGEX(A3;([FfBb])(o+);\1\2l) = Xl

Dear mariosv:
Seven days later, I still think this should be a bug.
I set font size to 26, the space between number and words was larger than
the space between bullet and words. You can see it in test3.odt.

I checked the Format Bullets and Numbering... Position.
I set the same options, but it show different layout between bullet and
numbering formats.
Please take a look at the screenshot.

So I reopen this bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57197] segfault: undo insertion of table row

2013-12-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57197

--- Comment #10 from Terrence Enger lo_b...@iseries-guru.com ---
Created attachment 90574
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90574action=edit
starting point close to the segfault

Here is an easier way to show the segfault. I am calling it the same
segfault because of the similarity of the top five frames in the
backtraces.

(1) Download and open the attached file undo_segfault.odt. The caret
is at the end of the text in row 2 column 2 of the table.

(2) Type tab. The program adds row 3 to the table.

(3) Type ctrl+Z. SEGFAULT.

This happens on master commit b092637, fetched 2012-12-06 17:20 UTC,
configured:
--enable-option-checking=fatal
--enable-dbgutil
--enable-crashdump
--without-system-postgresql
--without-myspell-dicts
--with-extra-buildid
--without-doxygen
--with-external-tar=/home/terry/lo_hacking/git/src
built and and running debian-wheezy.

For comparison, LibreOffice supplied with debian-wheezy, version
3.5.2.4 (Build ID: 350m1` (Build:2)), places the cursor at the start
of row 1 cell 1 when it opens the file. I have to move the cursor
first. Then tabctrl+Z correctly adds row 3 to the table and
removes it again. So, I am setting keyword regression.

The crash is not evident in bibisect versions
40 oldest
40+ latest
I take this to indicate that the crash is peculiar to debug builds,
and I conclude that the failed attempts to replicate the problem on
Win and OSX do not indicate very much. (Of course, the all-nines
value of `this` in frame zero of the backtrace is peculiar to a debug
build.) So, I am setting Whiteboard NotBibisectable.

--- Comment #3 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl ---
Hi Maxim,

(In reply to comment #2)

The attached XML file is invalid, since '' considered as an escape
character in XML. In order to store a text with '' one should use 'amp;'.
What version of LO did create such files? Can it be reproduced with the
latest versions? Otherwise I think we should close this one as NOTABUG.

Thanks for that explanation.
Looking in 4.2.0, adding an '' results in
 text:span text:style-name=T6amp; /text:span

I expect the file to come from an external tool. Will inform about that later.

Note that we already have requests to support invalid Excel XML files (see
Bug 38361, Bug 68742). Don't know if it makes sense to request the same for
 ODF.

Hmm, I would not suggest that.

terminal output

I am sorry to file a bug reporting a failure which I myself cannot
reproduce, but I did happen to save terminal output and a backtrace
from the core file, so here it is.

Here are steps which, alas, do not reproduce the problem. At least I
think this is what I was doing. Throughout, do not type the quotation
marks.

(1) Start in new writer document Untitled 1.

(2) Type ctrl+F12. Program displays dialog Insert Table with
defaults columns = 2, rows = 2.

(3) Type alt+I (or click Insert). Program closes the dialog.
In Untitled 1 there is a 2-by-2 table and the caret is in row 1,
column 1.

(4) Type The quicktabbrown foxtabjumps overtabwell, you know
the rest. The caret is at the end of the text in row 2, column
2.

(5) Take menu options File Save As Program presents Save
dialog.

(6) In Name field of the dialog, type /tmp/thingEnter.

Once, the program segfaulted. Several times since, the program
has saved the file and redisplayed the Writer window. Sigh.

I saw this in master commit b092637, fetched 2013-12-06 12:20 UTC,

Hi,

I can't reproduce this behavior using 4.1.3.2 under Ubuntu 13.10.

Are you sure that you have 'Times New Roman' actually installed on your system?
How does it appear in the font drop-down box - As a regular text or as Italic?
Does it appear in the font list of other applications? How does the same text
look in other applications?

Reattaching document with Macro attached

Apologies, poor understanding/discipline on where to store macros. I have (I
hope) moved the macro from my Standard template into the .ods where it can be
found in Standard\Modules\DorienCode. I have also pasted separately pasted the
code as a text attachment.

Legend points show correct behaviour: different colors by default, like in a
pie chart.
Chart points do not.

aha... when creating the document from the template the Time value gets
truncated in SwDoc::SetFixFields() (except if you've got 64 bits)
which then puts the wrong time value into the field.

this is what happens when code uses platform dependent types like long...

fixed on master.

Finally: Chart appearance after reswitching VaryColorsbyPoint = FALSE

Finally, edit the macro so that the final line reads:
'Switch VaryColorsbyPoint flag

and rerun. Changes the chart appearance so that points are varied but legend
is single-colour!

So in summary:
ActionFlag value Point coloursLegend colours
---- ---
Create chart Presume falseSingle Single
Switch flag to True True Single Multiple
Save doc and reload Presume true Single Multiple
Rerun macro True Multiple Multiple
Switch flag to False FalseMultiple Single

Once the point colours have gone to multiple, I cannot find any combination
of saving, reopening and switching the flag which will revert them to single.
On the other hand, the legend colours reliably behave as expected.

Reopen is your choice minhsien0330.

But as I understand it, if you are using tab-stop, the numbering are wider than
bullets, this is why numbering go to next tab, while bullets keeps with the
first.

If you change the tab-stop position from 12,7 to 14 both fit in the same
position. Or changing the 'Aligned' value. The issue is you need space enough
from 'Aligne' to 'Tab-stop' both for the numbering as to the bullets.

is a bug in the file we're removing [ if you can reproduce can you run that
under truss / strace / whatever and post a log to see what file it tries to
unlink ? - perhaps there is an error in the path ]. Or perhaps there is a new
name, you mention: restorecount.txt - did that thing get renamed from plist ?

Thanks for re-opening anyhow.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.3.3 release
 Component: Database
   Product: LibreOffice

A Base form, connected to a MySQL database, limits the number of characters
entered into textboxes. The limit is the number of characters used for the very
first entry made with the form, for each textbox

Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect to a MySQL Database using Base
2. Create a table with two fields, ID (BIGINT, AUTONUMBER) and TEST (VARCHAR,
LENGTH=100)
3. Use the FormWizard to create a form for this table
4. Using the form created above, enter abc into the textbox and save the
record.
5. Create a new record using the form; ensure that the textbox for the TEST
field is set to 100 characters.
6. Try to enter more than three characters into the texbox while creating the
second record using the form.

Current behavior:
Only the first three characters are entered. Anything typed after the first
three characters are neither displayed nor saved.

Expected behavior:
The textbox should limit entry to 100 characters and not to three.

I have an xls file which contains a dropdown cell (I didn't create this xls).
If I open this document, I can edit it, but as soon as I click to unfold the
dropdown, LibreOffice hangs and stop responding. Additionally it hangs the
whole system, that is, I cannot even switch to another application or open a

I will be happy to send the xls file privately to any developer willing to fix
this tremendously critical bug, but the document is private and is not mine, so
I cannot post it here publicly.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72570] New: The default bug-reporting wizard page is a joke

2013-12-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72570

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72570
CC: webs...@global.libreoffice.org
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: The default bug-reporting wizard page is a joke
  Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: matteosistise...@gmail.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: WWW
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 90587
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90587action=edit
screenshot of the web reporting wizard as it looks like in Google Chrome
(Linux)

https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/

This page is useless. It shows a blank page, with a fake list of steps on a
left pane, kind of greyed out as if inactive, and there's nothing you can click
nor anything you can do, other than following the link to the full featured
bug tracker.

But I forgot to do it in French and maybe I did something wrong.

Peut-être pourrions-nous continuer en français?

Thank you,

Thibault: the bugtracker is in English so far more people can contribute.

You can try this:
from your home directory, run this:
find . -name libAntidote_32.OOo.MT.P100.so

It will give the precise path of the file

then:
readelf -d file with complete path

Tested on Windows 7 SP1, with a master build; can't reproduce - I was loading
and then saving:

http://www.ecma-international.org/news/TC45_current_work/TC45_available_docs.htm

WordprocessingML format - part1 as docx.

Dushyant - we need more details; are you compiling with debuginfo ? can you
provide a sample .docx file for which this occurs ? does the problem continue
with the latest master builds ?

About the first point, there's a space between find and .
Please, try to copy paste the commands.

As indicated before: run once per terminal session this before testing
commands:
export LANG=C
so all the messages are in English.
Thank you.

Could you run this?
readelf -d
./.config/libreoffice/4/user/extensions/tmp/extensions/lujyhsr1.tmp_/Installation.Antidote.LibreOffice.4.oxt/libAntidote_32.OOo.MT.P100.so

(all must be in the same line)

Also, it's quite strange you have several times libAntidote_32.OOo.MT.P100.so
but I don't know Antidote and don't know enough LO profile internal mechanisms
to tell.
