--- Comment #8 from László Németh nem...@numbertext.org ---
The problem was the special status of the character (not a combining character,
but it acts like a combining character, see http://codepoints.net/U+0952). Now
every ligatures are replaced, except the lower case letters to fix the problem
of the hyphenation within the f and other western ligatures.

I'm grateful for the forward-back Navigation toolbar. It's essential for a long
document. (I'm writing a book.)

Currently, it works when I click on items on the Navigator. Would be great if
it could also work when I click on links within the document: Hyperlinks and
(Field) Cross-references.

 LibreOffice 4.1.4.2 0a0440ccc0227ad9829de5f46be37cfb6edcf72
 on Linux version 2.6.27.33 (custom build based on Slackware 7.0)

Does that mean some standards-deviating libstdc++.so.6/libgcc_s.so.1, maybe?
(In which case you would need to build LibreOffice against your own toolchain.)

(In reply to comment #3)
 I tried again with only the pdf-import extension installed, no change.

What pdf-import extension, obtained from where? (PDF import comes included in
LO as a non-extension.)

 I downloaded 4.2.0.4 and it also gives the same error and crash with error
 code 134.

i.e., SIGABRT, so presumably the same scenario

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74608] New: Constructor functions for UNO component implementations

2014-02-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74608

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 74608
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Constructor functions for UNO component
implementations
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: matus.ku...@collabora.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Currently instantiating an UNO service implementation is a long process.
First we call foo_component_getFactory(), where we create the right factory,
which then creates the c++ object.
Instead, the new way, is to call just foo_get_implementation function which
directly creates the c++ object.

This task is about splitting foo_component_getFactory functions to have an
exported function for each implementation it contains.
This simplifies the process and makes it a bit faster.
Additionally, helps us to select and use only implementations we need for e.g.
mobile platforms or anything compiled as one big library / executable and
allows the instantiation to be even faster.

To work on this, just choose a component, e.g. xmloff/util/xo.component
1, Find a implementation in there you want to covert, e.g. implementation
name=XMLVersionListPersistence
2, Add a constructor name for it, e.g.
constructor=XMLVersionListPersistence_get_implementation
2, git grep for its implementation and/or service name in the module (xmloff in
this case) to find the c++ class implementation: XMLVersionListPersistence.
3, Remove its use from xo_component_getFactory.
4, Add new function which looks as:

extern C SAL_DLLPUBLIC_EXPORT css::uno::XInterface * SAL_CALL
XMLVersionListPersistence_get_implementation(
css::uno::XComponentContext *,
css::uno::Sequencecss::uno::Any const )
{
return cppu::acquire(new XMLVersionListPersistence());
}

You may need to use the XComponentContext variable.

5, Remove any static methods which were previously used in
foo_component_getFactory : There should be now at most one function using them,
so move the code there.

Best to look at examples:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=1790ff71bd0772a37ad6ab7885cdbe2752dfdadf
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=fe537786a42abea57551395f73328db48bebd086
Optionally, if it's possible, move the code to anonymous namespace, as in
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=ed9e1e739041c8ef30e68559e9e9415632b21d94
You can do that in one commit.
Another example:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=1d77f5ce5e13720d46b41fd3ee4c7fe1d92a9839

Unfortunately, every module looks different, but once you get used to it, it's
easy, just don't be afraid to start and ask if in doubt.

 Not true. This tool box option is already enabled. This issue remains open
 for me.

Hi Rob,

After reading comment 2 I realized that you're actually trying to use the
'Formatting' toolbar with a textbox. It's not the right toolbar! For a textbox
you should use the 'Text Object' toolbar instead, and it has hidden color
button which you can enable. Is this solves your problem?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74607] PRINTING: Do not print dotted style border cells.

2014-02-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74607

--- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net ---
Reproduced with same LibO version, same OS. Recurrent issue.

Closely related to (all NEW):
- bug 68148 (single line cell borders turn dashed when opened with different
LibO release)
- bug 55266 (Some cell borders (double line) don't work)
- bug 42339 (EDITING and VIEWING cell borders differs from expected and
PRINTING)

Losely related to Writer's table printing (all NEW):
- bug 71790 (Use of dotted paragraph border makes exported PDF files huge)
- bug 44015 (bad display of dashed table border)
- bug 68764 (table borders appear different when printed)

Could be a regression for the RESOLVED FIXED:
- bug 37129 (Dotted and Dashed table borders are not drawn correctly)

Users are rightly expecting that the resolution of a bug encompasses an overall
check of the domain (If this point failed, check its neighbouring and correct
it globally, whether other bug reports or not).

Not sure if this really broken in the sense of java 1.7 not being used. Maybe

For me as well neither Java 1.7 nor 1.6 is selected when visiting that

Setting to NEW. Pretty confusing for users.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74549

--- Comment #2 from Eneko Lacunza elacu...@binovo.es ---
Hi Dominique,

The chart is based directly on spreadsheet data. Date calculus is made
using B2 as starting date, then dia.lab() function (WORKDAY()) is used
to calculate next bussiness day.

Spreadsheet show correct dates, but chart does not.

OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: b...@bmorgan.me.uk

Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

I have a spreadsheet that contains the same individual email address in a
number of cells. On file open the first cell containing the email address
(b...@bmorgan.me.uk) is ok. The second cell should have a single email address
but contains two (b...@bmorgan.me.ukb...@bmorgan.me.uk),the third three and so
on.

I can edit the cells to remove the superfluous email addresses but on repoening
after a save the propagation recurs.

Can supply a sample spreadsheet file if required.

Hi Faisal,

I can confirm this bug with master. Take a look at
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/ui/shells/txtattr.cxx#238.
The new font size applied only to scripts that are actually used in the
selected text (nScriptTypes). In your case the text is 'Libreoffice' which is
SCRIPTTYPE_LATIN only. The problem is that in RTL paragraph the bullet is of
SCRIPTTYPE_COMPLEX type.

After repeated edit of of a spreadsheet (insert/delete/move rows), comments

preserved after save and reload, they are immediately back, and the number of

Sorry about my english and the message. I really angry that day. But is
really, under Windows Libreoffice 4.0.x (4.0.6 too) corrupt files very often to
use it seriously. I probe it and decide to uninstall it to install 3.6.7 again
thtats works ok. I begin to use 4.1.2 and works ok, the 4.2 have a seriusly
problem with Excel interoperability. I use .xls everytime and work with it
normaly under windows xp sp3 with files in .xls mode. Everytime the file open
with corruption you don't know that happens before you open it. I think thats a
save problem. samething happens when save, and the file don't save ok. Lost
parts (the size is not the same i think). I attach and other 4.0.x corruption
to see it. I do the work again and is not necesary repair the file. But i won't
to know why Libreoffice corrupt often files (Windows+xls use), and its not a
bad idea make a program that recover samething from file corrupt.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62656] FILEOPEN of particular .docx takes 5 to 20 minutes

2014-02-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62656

--- Comment #18 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com ---
(In reply to comment #14)
 It is 500 pages. It has some indentation, some footnotes, some images.

(In reply to comment #15)
 ... the 600-page docx which is the subject of this article is some kind of
 biomed stuff about tuberculosis, with hundreds or even thousands of footnotes.

(In reply to comment #17)
 ... we are trying to render for layout all two-thousand-odd footnotes ...

For clarity, the provided example DOCX contains no true footnotes. Footnotes
are encoded in OOXML using the w:footnoteReference (anchor) and w:footnote
(text) elements. I downloaded the DOCX, renamed it:

$ ls -l fdo6*
-rw-r--r-- 1 oweng users 28564066 Feb  6 20:38 fdo62656.docx

A simple grep of the XML reveals:

$ unzip -p fdo62656.docx word/document.xml | xmllint --format - | grep -c
footnote
0

There are no endnotes either:

$ unzip -p fdo62656.docx word/document.xml | xmllint --format - | grep -c
endnote
0

There is however one footnote on p.253 (1st page of ch.10), one on p.425 (1st
page of ch.18), and one on p.511 (1st page of ch.23) but all are manually set,
rather than being true footnotes. I checked every page in Word 2007 to be
certain.

As Alex indicates (comment 7) the performance issues are more likely related to
either the 218 PNGs, 274 different page headers, or 699 sections in use.

Same error occurs in latest version 4.2 (Release).

Actually I'm using OpenOffice 4.0, original project hasn't this BUG and it's
free of another BUGS related with graphs and images (with Draw tools, create a
rounded corner, libreoffice don't save that corner rounded), LibreOffice has
there BUGS after 3.6 version.

Why the efforts are focused to improve the interface and other soft BUGS and
important BUG like this are completely ignored?

Thank you very much for your informations.

I hoped that the flashing was the normal way, unperceptible on current high
powered workstation, versus your WinXP. But 3GHz, 2.5Gb: definitely not.

I don't have any more idea, for the time being. Back to UNCONFIRMED.

Format scale axis to date or automatic cure the problem.
It seems that setting date as text misinterpret the date.

Affect Line chart but also Histogram. All charts where you can scale Axis as

It seems that the new date origin is not 31/12/1899 for chart but JC birth...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41650] FILESAVE as .doc (MSO97): Page break inserted after last paragraph started on page with page style First page

Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl changed:

--- Comment #15 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl ---
Hi,

I opened attachment 61263 in 4.2.0.4 and in 4.1.4.2 Behaviour the same in
both.
(Also tested in 3661 - see below)

First about the original .odt file:
First page = style First page
 Header with text
 Footer with number one
 Is activted by setting the attribute for the first paragraph
Next pages = style Default
 Header empty
 Footer with field Page number

Test 1
= = = =
Saving as .doc and opening again shows:

1 - First page = style Standard; Headers/footers are OK

2 - The first paragraph starting on page 2 gets a page break before = wrong.

3 - Third page and further = style Converted 1 (translated);
Headers/footers are OK

Conclusions test 1:

A - the page style attribute Next page style is activated from the first
paragraph on the second page

B - names of page styles are mixed

Test 2
= = = =
Saving as .DOCX and opening again shows:

1 - First page = style Standard; Headers/footers are OK

2 - the last paragraph on page 1 gets style Footer = Wrong
3 - the first paragraph starting on page 2 gets style Footer and
a page break before = both wrong.

4 - the first paragraph starting on page 2 gets a page break before = wrong.

5 - third page and further = style Converted 1 (_not_ translated);
  headers get content (not the distance) from headers on First Page = not OK

Conclusions Test 2:

A - the page style attribute Next page style is activated from the first
paragraph on the second page

B - the content of a header/footer, is taken from the previous page style (if
that has content header/footer)

C - the paragraphs before / and with the attribute Page break, get style Footer

D - names of page styles are mixed

Test with cleared formatting
= = = = = = = = = = = =
 - Select all text
 - Ctrl+M (Clear direct formatting)
 - paragrapgh style Default to have double line distance
 - first page to have style First page

The same behaviour (except that in the docx the line distance is OK in all
paragraphs, which is logic since paragraph style Footer inherrits that from
Default).

Test in 366:
= = = = = = =
Converted as .doc and reopened

1 - First page = style First page; Headers/footers are OK

2 - next pages = style Standard;
Headers/footers distance are from First Page = Wrong
Headers/footers content is empty = Wrong
