Jamie, what are the best mappings for these two?

Perhaps our role map from Firefox can also help here:
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/accessible/src/base/RoleMap.h

> void AccObject::UpdateRole()
> {

Michael, I agree that this method has an odd accessible role to fall through.
Should probably check for the whole map and use the highest available role, not
one in the middle.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 30541] Windows default icons should not be Gnome icons

2014-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30541

(In reply to comment #18)
> - Aero theme is gone in Windows 8 (answer for comment 6)

Aero was never very relevant in this bug. Aero is translucent widgets, we're
talking about icons.

> So I think that this bug is more WONTFIXable in 2014 than when reported...

Surely, we can wait another 6 years or so, and deduce that Galaxy will be even
less relevant by that time. :)

The problem of this bug is NOT that "LibO doesn't have nice icons". If Tango*
were the only icons available, this bug would probably not exist. The problem
is that LibO DOES ship icons that match Windows environment (Galaxy), but has
flipped the default switch to Tango* icons, which match the target environment
less.

IMO, it's a shame that a bug like this stays unfixed for years, especially when
it was claimed to be fixed in comment #13.

* Don't know about other icons, but at least the folder (Open) icon in Tango
set is NOT matching real Tango, but matches (old?) Gnome icon set instead. LibO
shouldn't be calling that set Tango, in my opinion. Or it should fix it to be
real Tango set, and not a mashup of random icons from Tango and Gnome sets.

tested under Win7x64 with 4.2.0.4

I added your same autocorrect entries to the list and they work and stick even
after closing and reloading LibO

from my experience the autocorrect engine is not affected by similarity of
entries... you may have an entry for M, one for GM etc. etc

the strange thing is that you say the newly added entries disappear from the
list

remember that autocorrect entries are stored in separate lists for each
language, that means that if you add an entry to the english list and then you
edit a document in frech language, those autocorrections won't work because
they are "document language sensitive".

are you sure you did not accidentally worked with documents in different
languages? maybe you added the autocorrect in a language and then you looked
for it in the list of another language and you did not find it.

proposed patch. bSkipEmpty is set to false in header file

Problem Description

In some scenarios, empty properties are created in the writer file(in .doc
format), which are later populated automatically through some tool (example
work flow scenarios). Writer removes empty custom property while saving the
document in .doc format

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Writer and use a document .doc
2. Add it a custom property. Donot enter any value for the property
3. Save it and close Writer
4. Open again Writer and use same document reciently saved.
5. Custom property is lost.

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:
Writer should retain empty custom property also while saving the file in .doc
format

Note: Attached patch is tested on LO 4.2 source code; tested and working fine

Seems as the range is well counted when it is the last parameter in the

=COUNT("2";4;6;"eight";A1:A3) = 6.
=COUNT("2";4;6;"eight";A1:A3;A1:A3) = 9.

Added to MAB 4.2, unusable function with data loss and difficult detect it.

vcl/source/gdi/bitmap3.cxx uses an awful coding style.

The following commits which improved Bitmap::ImplScaleSuper should be used as

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65675] LibreOffice 4.2 most annoying bugs

2014-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65675

I would endorse an enhancement regarding this bug. Although not severe, it has
been coming up as an issue since Version 3.5.5.3. I suggest either:

a) enable custom dictionary as a Writing Aid during initial installation. The
manual equivalent is: Go to Tools>Options>Language Settings>Writing
Aids>User-defined dictionaries and enable User defined dictionary "standard
[ALL]")

AND/OR

b) if the above dictionary isn't enabled, but a user opts to add a word to the
custom dictionary during spell-checking/correcting procedures, then the user is
prompted to give the application permission to enable this dictionary.

Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: l...@picacommunications.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.4 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

I am getting flaky results when using AutoCorrect as a way to quickly enter
common text.
When I enter mcl as a shortcut for Microsoft Challenge it works once, if at
all, and then disappears from the list
When I enter gmr as a shortcut for General Mills Response, ditto. It may work a
couple of times, but then stops and when I look at the list the entry is gone.
Note that I have other shortcuts that use some of the same words, M for
Microsoft and GM for General Mills. I wonder if these are interfering with
each other.
This is not relevant to the bug, but in case someone is wondering what a
Microsoft person is doing with LibreOffice, I do not and never have worked for
either Microsoft or General Mills

Apologies - I accidentally submitted the last comment without adding the
appropriate text.

I've had the same issue but with LibreOffice 4.1.3.2. The solution mentioned in
comments 7 and 8 worked for me i.e. Go to Tools>Options>Language
Settings>Writing Aids>User-defined dictionaries. I'd clarify that in my case, I
checked the checkbox for "standard [All]" under "User-defined Dictionaries".
After that, no more issue.

a file to verify the hidden comments disappeared problem

Although this is happened on CentOS 6, it may happened on Windows also. Below
are the steps to show the phenomenon:

1. open the attached test file and copy the workshheet "hide" to a new one (
usually named "hide_2" ).
2. save and close the file.
3. reopen this file and check to see the hidden comments in the worksheets
"hide_orig", "hide", and "hide_2" ( All the hidden comments should be existed.
)
4. delete the worksheet "hide_2", then save and close the file.
5. reopen the file and we can see the hidden comments in the worksheets
"hide_orig" and "hide" are disappeared.

Because we use the hidden comments to help to memorize something, it will
cause a big problem if the hidden comments suddenly get disappeared. Please
help to check and fix it. Thank you and best regards.

If any of the above toolbars is unchecked then it won't appear on the next

Sifr is not complete at the moment and unfortunately unusable. If selected, my

For Windows, there is still nothing better than Galaxy. Sifr could be a
replacement when finished.

Documentators may change for Tango only because it’s the default set.

Claiming “Tango's goal is to provide a consistent icon look across various
platforms” doesn’t make it true. Actually, it’s not.

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Blocks: 36549
   Summary: object:state-changed:focused events missing from
multiline text widgets
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: jdi...@igalia.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 94388
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=94388&action=edit
accessible-event listener: focus.py

Steps to reproduce (using LibreOffice master - 2237604b6)

1. Create a Writer document with spelling errors
2. Load the attached accessible-event listener in a terminal
3. Press F7 to start spell checking
4. Press Tab to move amongst the widgets in the dialog

Expected results: An object:state-changed:focused event would be seen for the
multiline text widget labeled "Not in Dictionary."

Actual results: The event never occurs for the text widget labeled "Not in
Dictionary." In addition, there is no object:state-changed:focused event at all
when that widget first gains focus. If you Tab once past that widget and then
Shift+Tab once to re-focus it, the parent widget (of ROLE_PANEL) emits the
signal.

Sample output from performing the above steps:

$ ./focus.py

object:state-changed:focused(1, 0, 0)

host_application: [application | soffice]

[Here Tab was pressed twice to move from the combo box above to the Not in
Dictionary text widget. No event was seen. The second press moved focus to the
Ignore Once button:]

[Here Shift+Tab was pressed once to move back to the Not in Dictionary text

You should try to change various pdf export options to see if that change

I finally managed to reproduce the bug here with a build as close as possible
to the release or daily builds.

The problems comes from the cacert bundle internal curl is using: curl request
sends back CURLE_SSL_CACERT_BADFILE. I still don't really know how to fix it,
just storing infos here for the record.

COUNT(Value1; Value2; ... Value30)
Value1; Value2, ... are 1 to 30 values or ranges representing the values to be
counted.
Example
Cells A1=2, A2=4, A3=6, so range A1:A3 is in 1 field. The entries 2, 4, 6 and
eight in the Value 2-5 fields are to be counted.

=COUNT(A1:A3) = 3. The count of numbers is therefore 3.
=COUNT(A1:A3;2;4;6;"eight") = 4 ???
=COUNT(A1:A3;"2";4;6;"eight") = 4 ???
=COUNT(A1:A3;"2";"4";"6";"eight") = 6 ???

It's not compatible with previous versions

Hmm, I just ran the same review with AccProbe with the
Version: 4.2.1.0.0+ build
Build ID: 9a19e8d838753128504274e1885eb3ce8ec1dbb8
TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:libreoffice-4-2, Time: 2014-01-30_00:20:59

It looks to be getting the preferred Document role at that point, but is not
getting the Document title as shown in the rootPane as its accessibleName, and
gets only an accessible name of 'Document view'

A check of a build of AOO 4.1.0 dev build (r1562493) has the accessibleName
assigned the document name.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75120] FILESAVE: Save document is not working

2014-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75120

To whom it may concern:

I downloaded the latest version of Libreoffice before the problem occurred.
My operating system is Mac OS 10.7.5. I'm not sure why the problem
happened; I wasn't sure if it was Libreoffice or my computer or what. I
wanted to report the problem to Libreoffice just in case that was the
issue. Either way, I had every right to be "fucking pissed" since I had
lost 17 pages of information and I had to backtrack to try to recover as
much of the information as possible. I went back probably 4 times to find
the lost information, saved it every time, and it just wasn't saving in the
doc. Whatever the problem was, it doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

Anyway, I appreciate your help looking into this problem, and I apologize

I got this. Looks like someone's "cleanup" of lower-casing the html tag names
caused has this regression. On Windows, the HTML tags *must* be uppercase.

regression from these 2 commits:

commit 6a3fb868b2b8af21f7b6140424b6f8377599a786
Author: Kohei Yoshida
AuthorDate: Sat Jan 18 18:17:52 2014 -0500

Draw horizontal solid border lines directly in the pixel processor.

This makes slightly skinnier solid lines which look better on screen.

commit b3b57c7a3a43a056217c72716d18bdeced029b66
Author: Kohei Yoshida
AuthorDate: Mon Jan 20 10:12:53 2014 -0500

Same solid line treatment for vertical lines during on-screen drawing.

... which probably indicates that this has only worked by accident before,
e.g. Writer sending some 0-width border to drawinglayer or some such nonsense.

The window vs document accessible roles look to be at the MSAA mapping of UNO
API roles point. Those mapping occur in
/core/winaccessibility/source/service/AccObject.cxx

Is the change a simple enum tweak, or further down into the UNO API guts?

Michael M and Michael S worked on this part of the IA2 merge.

Does the note from Steve Yin at line 226: "In order to windows API
WindowFromAccessibleObject,we sometimes to set a pure top window accessible
object created by windows system as top ancestor" refer to the rootPane of a
running LibreOffice session, or to this MSAA 'window' role that may need to be
adjusted to 'document'?

The status of this after more than 3 years after opening:
- Aero theme is gone in Windows 8 (answer for comment 6)
- LibreOffice received new flat icons set
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2#Flat_icons_.28Sifr.29
- Tango set is still a default and it will stay this way
http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/set-Oxygen-icon-theme-as-default-tp4061889p4061891.html
- Documentators don't like it
http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Getting-Started-Guide-Version-LO-4-0-tp4029065p4031349.html
- but probably change from Galaxy to Tango in the future
http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Release-4-2-icon-set-tp4086124p4086164.html

So I think that this bug is more WONTFIXable in 2014 than when reported...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75221] "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style" also ignores line spacing

2014-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75221

Hi, Cor.

In the attachment, the arrow that says "space between two paragraphs with style
Citação" should be (I think) the same as two lines in those paragraphs. As you
can see, line spacing in those paragraphs is Double but the spacing between two
paragraphs ignores that.
The way I see it, it would make more sense if the spacing between those two
lines that are close to each other was the same that the spacing between any
two other lines.
In short, the space in the third arrow should be the same as the second arrow.
That would happen if the option "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same
style", instead of remove ALL the spacing, used the default line spacing of
that style (ignoring only "space before" and "space after").

Sorry if some of the terms aren't precise. I'm using a Portuguese version and I
don't have access to an English one right now.

I have posted another image of how I think it should work so you can compare.
Maybe it's a bug, maybe it works like that by design, maybe you can clarify.

Thanks!
