The issue here is not with us, in fact Microsoft is not honouring the URI RFC. If a character is not reserved or unreserved, they should be percentage encoding it, full stop. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76093 Andras Timar tima...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #1 from Andras Timar tima...@gmail.com --- On the contrary, it is the build number which did not make sense. Now =INFO(release) returns the build identifier, the SHA256 hash in git, which uniquely identifies the source code state from which the binary was built. The build number did not identify anything in LibreOffice, it was a legacy from Star Division. =INFO(version) is identical to =INFO(release), because in fact =INFO(version) is the French translation of =INFO(release) and we have it for compatibility with MS Excel. I think using INFO function is not very useful. It is there for compatibility reasons. If you are interested in version number, you can query it from configuration data with a few lines of Basic. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76123] red underline appears for cells using language setting 'none'
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76123 --- Comment #2 from Daniel Szabo dsz...@flyordie.com --- First, this worked in 3.6 for sure. And works in AOO 4.1 too. It's broken in LibO 4.2 I didn't check LibO 4.0-4.1.x because there were other issues that rendered LibO 4 unusable for me. There must be some way to specify text not to be spell checked. The language (locale) setting on the Numbers tab is used for formatting numbers/dates (that's why None is not applicable, there must be some formatting always) and is not related to the spell checking. At least it wasn't until now. So I think the bug is exactly that: LibO ignores the language setting on the Font tab. Actually, spell checking seems to be totally messed up in 4.2. - I entered the following into a cell boat Schiff hajó (boat in English, German and Hungarian) - I set both Font/Language and Numbers/Language to German (Germany) - My default language is Hungarian (so Default - Hungarian is listed in the Language combo boxes) - While entering the text (press F2 on the cell, move the cursor, then press enter) boat and hajó will be underlined: correct - Then I scroll the cell out of view then back in (page down/page up) and boat will be underlined, hajó won't: incorrect In the attached spreadsheet there are several other cells too: - boat, Schiff, hajó, xx using language setting English/German/Hungarian/None for both Font/Numbers (Default for Numbers in the last case) - Scrolling the cells out of view then back boat and xx will be underlined. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65795] Syntax error in Extension Manager when trying to update
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65795 Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |ASSIGNED Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |sberg...@redhat.com |desktop.org | --- Comment #7 from Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com --- The reason is that http://updateexte.libreoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update references a completely empty file. That URL is the value of the ExtensionUpdateURL property in the version ini file. It is used by getDefaultUpdateInfos (desktop/source/deployment/misc/dp_update.cxx) to try and obtain backup update information from one central place for all those extensions that fail to provide their own update information. The current http://updateexte.libreoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update URL is used since http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=52456c0acaaebe1c85d07c90a94a82c9efa4850f Switch all urls from TDF to LibreOffice. The prior, OOo-specific URL http://updateexte.services.openoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update still delivers a file starting with ?xml version=1.0 encoding=utf-8? feed xmlns=http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom; xml:lang=en-US titleExtension Update Feed/title link rel=alternate type=text/html href=http://extensions.openoffice.org/ updated2013-03-18T12:03:22+00:00/updated I have no idea who is responsible for the empty file at http://updateexte.libreoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update. I see three options to fix this: 1 Fix the file at http://updateexte.libreoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update to conform to the expected syntax (even if it would not contain any true payload yet, but could do so in the future). That would fix this issue even for already released versions of LO. 2 Give the ExtensionUpdateURL property in the version ini file an empty value. That would not fix this issue for already released versions of LO, and for future versions of LO would disable the (currently unused) feature of providing such central backup extension update information (until we change the value back in a later release). 3 Remove the (currently unused) feature of providing such central backup extension update information completely from the code. That would not fix this issue for already released versions of LO. I favour option 1 and will see to get hold of somebody to fix the file at http://updateexte.libreoffice.org/ExtensionUpdateService/check.Update. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I guess this is the new broadcaster speedup for import having a particularly horrible performance impact on sorting =) We could of course fix that ;-) but it's frustrating to see all that junk coming from: ScColumn::SwapRow - ScColumn::DetachFormulaCell - when all the formulae are (inevitably) in a formula-group anyway =) A quick/awful hack to check / workaround if it is the formule causing the grief, would be to move formulae to the far right side of the sheet - and sort only the data they refer to on the left; I'd be interested if that improves things for people. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76169] registry corruption during crash triggers X misbehavior
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76169 --- Comment #3 from Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com --- (In reply to comment #2) Looks pretty close, and yes, I am using KDE. But that explains the initial crash, not the recurring problem on startup. Document Recovery doesn't involve the File Chooser (that I know of), unless the fact that it crashed in the File Chooser means it's trying to restart it. Indeed, somewhat odd. Can you tell me how to manually disable Document Recovery in the xcu file ? I can see if that makes a difference. There is three consecutive lines each starting with item oor:path=/org.openoffice.Office.Recovery/ in your registrymodifications.xcu. If you remove all three, LO should no longer try to display the Document Recovery dialog on the next start. Also, tracing your bug reference back to bug#69002, it looks like this was fixed in LO but then regressed, so the status really isn't clear at this point. Maybe bug 69279 is not exactly a duplicate of bug 69002 after all. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75741 --- Comment #9 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- This is worse than I thought. Having successfully replaced the sheet and named range that I thought was causing problems with a new sheet and named range, I cannot modify that new named range under 4.2.2.1 ubuntu 13.10 64 bit. LO just stops again, either immediately or when I save. Under Windows 7, 4.1.4.2 it works fine. To check that this is not macro related I tested the same sheet on my ubuntu system in a different directory that wasn't trusted, and did not enable macros. No change. To test things further I inserted a brand new simple named range pointing to one cell, with no references to that name from elsewhere. That worked OK. On deleting it, LO stopped again. It now seems that to make any changes to my named ranges in this complex set of sheets I have to use my Windows partition (and older LO version), something I spend a lot of time trying to avoid!
