  Reporter: i...@pehabo.nl

Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: UI

When opening from the quickstarter, the template manager seems to be in an
import modus (3rd line Import). I can't start templetes from there.

Incidentally there is a normal mode (3rdl line Open etc.) then I can start the
template normaly.

So why does the templatemanager start in import mode and is it a configuratiion
of a user bug ;-)

For me they are displayed very similar in Word 2011 and LO 4.2.4.2. So maybe
just a Linux issue? Jay, maybe I misunderstood the issue?

Interesting findings. In 4.2.4.2 numbers show correctly but are in liberation
serif font and not calibri. Word 2011 on OSX behaves identical. Calibri and
liberation serif for the numbered list.

needadvice as I'm unsure what to make of this and also a third party software
is involved (kingsoft writer), which could be messing things up.

It's not the same bug. COUNTIF fails to make the correct distinction between
numbers that differ by 0.0216 and 0.22878 - that's many, many orders of
magnitude greater than floating point precision. Furthermore, SMALL makes the

InsertByIndex comparison LO 4.1 - 4.2, before and after

Problem description:

Something works bad with InsertByIndex, you can see the range is altered when
the number of row to insert is equal or greater than 2.

Look at the image for a comparison between LO 4.1.x and LO 4.2

Here is the macro code where the issue is located:

sub bug
oSheet = ThisComponent.currentController.activeSheet
oCell=thisComponent.getCurrentSelection()
lrow=oCell.RangeAddress.StartRow
oSheet.getRows.insertByIndex(lrow, 2)
end sub

Try the attached .ods test file:

- there is the formula =SUM(A9:C9)
- use InsertByIndex macro instruction to insert rows above existing ones and
you will get an alteration of the range used by =SUM()
- same issue happens using =PRODUCT() and generally operations working on cells
range.

Current behavior:

Range is changed when when the number of row to insert is equal or greater than
2.

Expected behavior:

InsertByIndex should work well with no range alteration, like in LO 4.1.x

Operating System: All
Version: 4.2.3.3 release
Last worked in: 4.1.6.2 release

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78514] FILESAVE: ODT links shown in black by other softwares

2014-05-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78514

--- Comment #3 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com ---
Well the color change issue doesnt happen everywhere in the document, as the
link on page 8 shows fine in blue in word and calligra, so i think it might be
a style issue.

Well as AOO and LibO originate from the same code base, using AOO to check ODF
compatibility wouldnt be a suitable comparison when checking against 2 other
completely different odf implementations.

I brought up the same issue in the mailing list of where should i go to check
if the ODF displayed by LibO is shown different in ms word. You can see Michael
Meeks' and Inge Wallin's responses below.

http://listarchives.documentliberation.org/www/discuss/msg00059.html
http://listarchives.documentliberation.org/www/discuss/msg00063.html

Presently, i only submit odf bugs when ms word and calligra show it one way and
LibO shows it in a different way.

as said in the other report I'm not sure this is LibO fault...
maybe the bug is on MS Word side which fails to correctly save the links

Yes as Calligra shows it correctly, i believe it maybe a ms word problem, but
just incase, i want to bring it to your attention, as it was related to the

Well i'm not sure of the RTF implementation in mac ms word, but you should
right-click into font properties of the paragraph to see if the 'kerning for
fonts' is set (will attach a screenshot of this). Its not a linux issue as i've
also tested it in word 2013 on windows 7.

--- Comment #4 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com ---
(In reply to comment #2)
Interesting findings. In 4.2.4.2 numbers show correctly but are in
liberation serif font and not calibri.

Weird that LibO would display fine on mac and not on linux as its all the same
code base. Well i just tested 4.2.3.3 on Windows XP and see the '10!br0ken!!'.

Word 2011 on OSX behaves identical.
Calibri and liberation serif for the numbered list.

This just confirms that ms word on windows is different than word on mac, as i
also tested word 2013 on windows 7 and it shows the same as word 2010, with no
numbering. please upload a pdf of the file opened in word on mac, so i can
compare its output, thanks. :)

needadvice as I'm unsure what to make of this and also a third party
software is involved (kingsoft writer), which could be messing things up.

as previously stated, there is something wrong with the RTF output from
kingsoft as word 2010/2013 shows no number list numbers.

CTRL+C / CTRL+V works in Writer only in following case:

1. You select object
2. press CTRL + C
3. click on document (object is no longer selected)
4. Press CTRL + V
5. It's copied

In case shape / object is selected, copying will not work.

However, it is not possible to copy drawings in Writer while moving and holding
CTRL.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78217] Autocorrect replacement table: selected text is copied in With field rather than Replace field

2014-05-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78217

IMHO entering selected content in with is neither a bug nor is it bad
usability.
A feature for adding spelling errors to AutoCorrect is already implemented in a
user-friendly an logical way.
1. Type something wrong and it becomes underlined red
2. Place cursor in Wordrightclick
3. Always correct tochoose a word
and there you are. Maybe Something else is missing, and add Always correct
even if spellcheck presents no alternatives.
I strongly oppose change in behaviour, it's right like ist is even for text
only. Behavioural functionality (only text then do this) will only lead to
confusion, because most users will never guess why.

Sample file to test

I have reorganize in vertical data in your, to make more visible, at least for
me.
Adding a ROUND() to the formula in column C to choose decimal places, makes
more visible that the issue have their source in the precision. Changing
decimal places in C1 between 14 to 15 hides or shows the error.

In this case with the number 0,119313795119524 now in B10, reducing a decimal
to this number works fine.

The problem is with values
 0,119313795119524
 and
 0,119313795119525
with
 0,119313795119523
 and
 0,119313795119526

In any case I think it's better keeps under control when we are working on the
precision limits.

I don't know if it is really a bug or a corner case with the precision limits,
but to be sure,
changed to new, hoping some dev can verify.

2014-05-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78217

(In reply to comment #26)
 ...
A feature for adding spelling errors to AutoCorrect is already implemented
in a user-friendly an logical way.
 1. Type something wrong and it becomes underlined red
 2. Place cursor in Wordrightclick
 3. Always correct tochoose a word
 and there you are.

sure I know that feature but you should keep in mind that autocorrect right
click suggestion are not always 100% accurate and in my experience there are
many cases in which there's no valid suggestion and you have to manually enter
the correct typing in the replacement list.

Please start Math. Open the Catalog (Tools Catalog). Select the symbol set
Greek. Is the symbol µ listed there? If yes, click on it and look, what
characters are shown below. It might be, that it differs from what you expect.
Same with symbol set iGreek.

If the symbol µ is missing, you can add it with button Edit in that dialog.

In a word in small capitals automatic hyphenation does not work anymore. Manual
hyphenation is possible.

Steps to reproduce:
When I insert several letters to a line in front of the word in small caps, it

Problem description:
Export of movement animations is working unrealiably. Sometimes it works,
sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it only works if opened in office and then
saved to pptx.

Attached is a file in which the movement animations are not preserved at all.

Furthermore: The automatic slidechange after the last animation does not occur
either.

Thanks for considering.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17406199/Bug4.ppt in impress. Click
through the animations
2. Compare to result achieved in Powerpoint (I used powerpoint 2010 as my
presentations always look screwed up when opened with 2013)

Current behavior:
No movements when ppt is opened in ms powerpoint (used 2010). They still work
if opened with LO.

Expected behavior:
Proper export of movement animations, so they are properly understood by
powerpoint

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78536
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Libreoffice Writer and Calc (and possibly others)
crash when styles window closed
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: miguel.a.gue...@gmail.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.4.2 rc
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Libreoffice Writer and Calc (and possibly Impress and others) crash when,
whilst modifying or creating a style, the styles window is closed and one
cancels creation or modification of said style.

Steps to reproduce:

  1) F11 to display styles window

  2) Select a style - context menu - select Modify

  3) close styles window

  4) close window on which style is being modified

Always crashes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78538] New: Erased prior installation the failed to install new version.

Bug ID: 78538

Summary: Erased prior installation the failed to install new
version.
  Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: danielmcg...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.4.2 rc
 Component: Installation
   Product: LibreOffice

The installer (for 4.2.4.2) erased my previous version of LibreOffice (4.1
something, now gone) and then told me that it couldn't finish because I had
insufficient permissions and should log back in as the system admin. It is my
personal computer and I am the system admin. So, I tried to go back and install
the stable version (4.1.6) and it also failed to install with the same error
message. The result is that I now have no LibreOffice at all.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78539] New: default action for autocomplete

2014-05-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78539

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78539
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: default action for autocomplete
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: krish.pil...@ieee.org
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

When user types in values into a box in Calc, the autocomplete feature inserts
proposed text without user acknowledgement. This makes it very error prone
esepcially if the user is not watching the screen continously. Any input
proposed by the software should require user acknowledgement such as tab or
left arrow to be accepted. The current implementation assumes that the user
wants proposed text without any form of acknowledgement. This is incorrect.

Example:
User type in A+ and Enter key. Action: A+ is entered into box.
USer moves to next box and types in A and Enter. Action: Calc inserts + as
proposed text and by default accepts it. The software behaves inconsistently
for the same input.
The proper action should be to hit A and then a Tab or a left arrow to accept
any proposed text (+ in the above case) followed by Enter.
