If this is indeed the case, please disregard comment 1. I can still change (and save) the text input into a PDF form text box field under the indicated version, but I can only do so one line of text at a time. I am not sure that editing a PDF allows changing an object type (I am not even sure it is possible). Status still probably needs to be NEEDINFO to get developer input in to this, but if you could clarify what this report is actually about that would be great. So we never render eps, we either use the preview in the image, or call pstoedit to generate one in emf format. Generating eps previews for eps that don't provide one was always a hack (and I wish I never implemented it). The generator in this case is strata, I suggest using the preview on feature to get it to generate a tiff preview in the eps to see if strata previews are better than pstoedits. But to have keystrokes saved up and then processed as a bunch can also be problematic. Consider: (*) You are typing along, watching the document window. (*) The autosave starts. (*) You notice a letter not processed and you type the letter again. (*) And you type the letter a third time. (*) You twig to the fact that the problem does not arise from how your fingers meet the keyboard. In fact an autosave is in progress! (*) Okay, you have to delete those extra letters. But how many? Are you sure? I would probably just stop working until the autosave finishes. And that is just the result that the current program forces, except for the potential confusion. So, I ask: Can the UI be kept responsive while the autosave completes in the background? At what cost in programming effort? At what cost in machine resources? I think we need a developer to comment on whether a continuously responsive UI is feasible. Other possible mitigations come to mind: (*) Allow the user to disable autosave on a per-document basis. (*) Start autosave only after the document (or LO as a whole?) has been idle for some length of time. Again, I have no idea about the cost of these mitigations. With apologies for the length. If you really think it's worth the time (vs. just installing 4.3 which is being release shortly) then set the bug to NEW and we'll see what we can do but no promises as our teams are stretched pretty thin. (1) Yes, the statistical package Stata is the generator. With the option preview on, I got much worse results on LO 4.1.x (you could see pixels and images not sharp) than using EPS without preview. That's why I deactivated it for the graphics in all my documents using LO 4.0.x and 4.1.x. (My different documents contain about 200 eps graphics altogether, hence it is difficult to change that for existing documents). - Please find attached two sample eps files, one with preview and one without preview. I just loaded them in 4.1.4 and the one with preview looked terrible. (2) BTW, my tests with LO 4.2.5 and 4.1.4 are on exactly the same system (=the pstoedit version was the same) (3) Running the pstoedit command, I get following error message: $pstoedit -usebbfrominput -f emf:-OO -drawbb EPS-test-file.eps EPS-test-file.emf unknown option -drawbb pstoedit: version 3.60 / DLL interface 108 (built: Jul 13 2012 - release build - g++ 4.7.1 - 64-bit) : Copyright (C) 1993 - 2011 Wolfgang Glunz Unsupported output format emf What is the next step? When a word in the list is found, the Bullets and Numbering toolbar appears, pushing the Find toolbar upwards. When a word outside of the list is found, the Bullets and Numbering toolbar disappears and the Find toolbar is moved down again. Instead of keeping the focus on the text, you have to keep track of and repeatedly adjust to the changing position of the Find toolbar. Reporters should browse the Bugzilla too and are kindly asked to close own duplicated issues as Bugzilla build-in duplicate mechanism is a way to indicate hot issues. I get also a problem with the 3_libraries file. Steps to reproduce: 1. Tools Extension manager Add CmathOOo.oxt (3 libraries) Open 2. Scroll down Accept the licence Expected actual result CmathOOo 2013.10.29 appears in the list 3. Close the extension manager 4. File Exit LibreOffice The Recovery dialog appears (see screenshot). I get the same error message after uninstalling the extension. Perhaps this is due to the removal of the library to create the test file?
