Hi Anton,

(In reply to comment #0)

It's fixed for the upcoming 4.3.1 release, see Bug 63756.

> But with 4.3.0.4 that's not the case, LO simply refuses to recognize that

Can't reproduce. Tested under Windows 7 and Fedora 20.

@V Stuart Foote

thank you. It was a migration (in fact multiple migrations over the time).

1) will try

2) unfortunately the local disk space here is only for the operating system,
all data is (and has to be) on the network. It is a 1GB network and usually I
get around 35 Mbyte/s transfer, which should be sufficient.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82494] New: Other: Cross References Missing for Headings

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82494

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 82494
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Other: Cross References Missing for Headings
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: logsmo...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.5.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 104473
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=104473&action=edit
An ODT file that demonstrates Headings that not appearing for cross-reference
selection

Problem description:
Headings are not generating Cross References. I have attached a reference .odt
file that exhibits the problem.
In highlighting the problem, I copied content from another document that had
_some_ missing heading cross-references. I deleted that copied content within
the attached document, but the problem has been inherited in the new document.
I have been unable to isolate the cause nor correct the behaviour in the
original documents, nor attached document.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached 'CrossReferencesMissingForHeadings.odt'
2. Press F5 (View > Navigator)
3. None of the included Headings are listed for cross-reference

Current behavior:
None of the assigned Headings in the attached document are available to assign
as cross-references.

Expected behavior:
Headings to appear in Navigator, and be assignable as cross-references via
'LOWriter > Insert > Cross-references > Headings'
Operating System: Windows 8
Version: 4.2.5.2 release

imho what OOXML standard says is only of academic interest;
we should do what MSO does when importing these files.

would it be possible to add something like the generator-based
checks in xmloff (which is used to apply fix-ups for files
written by old and buggy OOo versions) to the OOXML filters too,
to have the defaults depend on the MSO version that produced
the file?

If you know of a particular bug or commit that affected this, could you
possibly point me to it? I can't immediately spot the change in question.

I'm currently attempting to propel several CJK bugs forward, and I'm not quite
sure how some of the rendering related issues are connected - it would be
useful to be able to see why specifically this bug is (apparently) fixed before
closing it.

Now that I have a local build working, I can bisect the source to find the
relevant change if necessary, it just may take some time to do so at up to a
couple of hours per rebuild.

No, my concern is building the official release packages with gstreamer

Linux base line system is the system on which we build the release packages.
Unless something changed during the last year, it is RHEL 5. You can see the

Screenshot - it works fine for me!

I can NOT confirm this bug as it works fine for me.

I copied the diagramm from the attached file to clipboard with Ctrl/C and
simply passed into a new Impress document with Ctrl/V without any problem. See
the attached screenshot. Also works fine for me with Writer.

Hi actually i just compared libreoffice spreed sheet with windows excel .
1.In windows when we open a page and we did not did any modification .
2.And again if we click new page means the existing document is showing .
3.But in libreoffice if we click spreed sheet means another sheet is opening.
4.This problem is because there is no new option in libreoffice.
5.And if we did not did any modification or work existing document must be
there with out any change

Note that the formatting of the cell with Sum does not change if you apply a

(also when counting with times, formatting of the cell with the result does

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82481] SUM() copies cell formats

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82481

I think what bugzilla1...@rule506.net meant can be seen with this steps:
1. Right-click Column A > Format Cells > Fraction > OK
2. Select cell B1 > hit 'Sum' button > select cells A1:A2 > hit Enter
3. Verify that cell B1 have 'Fraction' format

bugzilla1...@rule506.net claimed that cell B1 should keep its default format
(Number-Standard).

Tested with LO 4.2.6.2 - Ubuntu 12.04 x86

@Cor, what do you think regarding that behavior? Is that a bug?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82502] New: Ctrl-F should show or focus the find box, NOT toggle it

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82502

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 82502
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Ctrl-F should show or focus the find box, NOT toggle
it
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: freedesk...@nuclearsunshine.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.6.2 release
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

I'm not sure of the history of this behaviour, given the following:

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=109504 (OOo request for the same)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59101 (subsequent LOo request for
toggle behaviour)

As mostly described in the OOo bug, Ctrl-F should not toggle for the following
reasons:

* Toggling the find dialogue is unlikely to be the expected behaviour for
Ctrl-F for the vast majority of users, based on the following application
behaviours:

Firefox: shows/focuses
Chrome: shows/focuses
Internet Explorer: shows/focuses
Word (2013): shows/focuses
Excel (2013): shows/n/a (modal)
Windows Explorer: focuses (always shown)/focuses

* Esc already closes the find bar when focused.

* When a user is used to being able to reliably find using Ctrl-F then typing
in other applications (see above examples), if they do the same in LO when the
find bar is already shown/focused, they instead end up closing the find bar and
overwriting or inserting text in the document.

* The visual indicator for the needed action to search the document currently
can be as little as a blinking cursor in the find box (for example in a
spreadsheet, where the cell highlight looks identical whether the find box is
focused or not.

* Behaviour now:
Find bar showing/unfocused: Ctrl-F focuses, subsequently typing searches
Find bar showing/focused: Ctrl-F closes, subsequently typing inserts/overwrites
text in document
Find bar not showing: Ctrl-F shows, subsequently typing searches
To close the find box via keyboard (unfocused): Ctrl-F *twice* (or Ctrl-F, Esc)
To close the find box via keyboard (focused): Ctrl-F *once* (or Esc)

* Behaviour with Ctrl-F configured to show or focus find *only*:
Find bar showing/unfocused: Ctrl-F focuses, subsequently typing searches
Find bar showing/focused: Ctrl-F non-op, subsequently typing searches
Find bar not showing: Ctrl-F shows, subsequently typing searches
To close the find box via keyboard (unfocused): Ctrl-F, Esc
To close the find box via keyboard (focused): Esc (or Ctrl-F, Esc)

The second set of behaviours is better for the following reasons:

* Expected
* Can't result in accidental typing into document dependent on state
* Guaranteed sequence to search document (don't need to look for find box
focus)
* Guaranteed sequence to close search box (don't need to look for find box
focus)
* No keystroke penalty under any circumstances vs. current behaviour

I think it behaves like what is expected. New blank spreadsheet will be opened

Could you define what you did most of the time to reproduce the problem?
What file format (xls/xlsx/ods)?

> NOTE: The management of the conditional format is also pretty ugly. It

If you talked about CF manage after such operations like copy/cut-paste, I feel
it's been accomodated in another bug report. You can do searching in this
Bugzilla to find intended bug report.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82504] New: EDITING: Cell background not completely filled using background color icon

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82504

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 82504
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: EDITING: Cell background not completely filled using
background color icon
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: Inherited From OOo
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Steps:
1) Open Writer
2) Create a table
3) While in a cell, click on the background color icon in the table toolbar
4) It will not fill the cell background but the paragraph background

Tested in 3.3.0, 4.3.2 and master. This is quite confusing because the
background color icon in calc fills the cell background and the background
color icon even in the table toolbar in writer fills the paragraph background.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82503] FORMATTING: Conditional formatting can not be copied reliably

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82503

What I did was to define a condition where if CM62 was less than the value of
CM61 it used a style I defined as "Negative performance" (which just showed the
cell in a red color). This works OK, but if I copied the cell and did a paste
special/format to the subsequent set of cells (CN62:CT62) the effect would show
at the moment but if I save/exit and come back in the pasted formatting would
be gone.

The document was stored as .ods.

The note about the CF management was kind of an extra thought (but potentially
germane to the issue).

Hi Jay,

> 3) While in a cell, click on the background color icon in the table toolbar

Isn't that the icon with 'ab', iow, bacjground color for text ?
One would indeed wish that that is an icon for the cell's background, that one
currently can set by selecting a cell (or more) and then Table properties, tab
Background..
So If this is true, this should be an enhancement for another icon on the
toolbar :)
Ciao!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82506] New: Custom extension for deploying templates does not work under Windows

2014-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82506

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 82506
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Custom extension for deploying templates does not work
under Windows
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: aheinl...@gmx.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.5.2 release
 Component: Extensions
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 104491
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=104491&action=edit
minimal working extension which allows to reproduce the bug

We have created a custom extension for deploying settings and templates to our
users. This used to work and is still working with current versions of
LibreOffice 4.2.5.2 and 4.3.0.4 under Ubuntu 12.04, but does not work with the
same versions under Windows 7.

The extension deploys several writer templates in a directory (called
"Textdokumente") and sets one of them as the default template.
Under Ubuntu, the folder "Textdokumente" and its contents shows up in the
template selector, and the default template is used when creating a blank new
document.
Under Windows, the folder "Textdokumente" does not show up. When trying to
create a new blank document, LO complains that "Standard.ott" is defective and
needs to be repaired. An attempt to repair it is unsuccessful. Opening
"Standard.ott" manually from the installed location (i.e.
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages\_tmp.123456\opendocument\Textdokumente\Standard.ott)
works just fine. Moving or renaming it gives a "File not found" error, so you
can tell LO is actually trying to access the correct file.

I have attached a minimal working extension which allows to reproduce the bug.

Hi,

thanks for your report.
So you simply suggest: "Don't let Ctrl+F close the find bar when it has the
focus"
No problem for me, I just wonder why one should hit Ctr-F when the focus is in
the find-box already ;)

Cheers

I would think of something in the following direction:

"LibreOffice Fresh is the version with the most and latest features, but this
comes with more glitches that are not yet solved.
For conservative users, the Still version might therefore be a better idea.
In general however, from version X.Y.2, the number of problems with the Fresh
version is pretty low for most users."
