Personally I find it to be pretty useful that it knows that you want the letter to not be deleted - this intuitively makes sense to me. I also see the same behavior with 4.4 built just a couple days ago - I don't see a kknown result. So all in all I'm not convinced that this is a bug - I see different results in 4.4 - and the behavior of 4.3.1.2 has been around for years. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81633] Sorting shouldn't always automatically adjust references.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81633 --- Comment #14 from dmdcare...@care2.com --- (In reply to comment #13) A9: =IF(C9C8;RANK(C9;$C$2:$C$16;0);IF(C9C8;Re-sort;IF(AND(C9=C8;B9B8);Re- sort;))) changing C9 value to 500, after Menu/Data/Sort - Column C descending / Options - Range contain column labels. now in A5: =IF(C5C9;RANK(C5;$C$2:$C$16;0);IF(C5C9;Re-sort;IF(AND(C5=C9;B5B9);Re- sort;))) seems that references to the same row are updated properly (C5), but references to other rows change in a strange way for me (C8-C9), maybe they have several changes while sorting. After sorting, the formula in A6 reads: =IF(C6C4,RANK(C6,$C$2:$C$16,0),IF(C6C4,Re-sort,IF(AND(C6=C4,B6B4),Re-sort,))) Similarly, A10 reads: =IF(C10C5,RANK(C10,$C$2:$C$16,0),IF(C10C5,Re-sort,IF(AND(C10=C5,B10B5),Re-sort,))) I agree that the references need updating properly - the current method updates some, but not all, relative references. As far as I can tell, I now have no method of knowing reliably when to sort my tables - unless I copy a correct formula to all the rows after sorting my tables (not practical). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 83419] EDITING: Autocorrect doesn't work correctly with visible tracked changes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83419 --- Comment #4 from Matthew Francis fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk --- There may have been some confusion about when tracked changes should have been on/off in the previous comments, and who the edits are by. Apologies if so; please allow me to restate. In general, when tracked changes are enabled, I don't believe it should make a difference to the behaviour of autocorrect whether changes are visible or not. It's a matter of convenience only to see or not see the edits, and in either case, when tracked changes are enabled, the changes of an earlier Person A should not be randomly modified by a subsequent person B (this is a requirement of a workflow of which I am often part, where changes are accepted by a later Person C who needs the full history) Upon further checking, it seems that it makes a difference whether or not the word in question is at the start of the line. Perhaps spelling autocorrection, auto-capitalisation and tracked changes are tripping over one another? In a fresh build (today) of 4.4 master, with tracked changes on and visible, from the start of the line, [Note: The deleted character should have been deleted by another user] 1) am(deleted k)esspace - Kmakes (incorrect - wrong correction and broke another user's edit) 2) A am(deleted k)esspace - A (deleted k)makes (correct) 3) (deleted k)nwonspace - Kknown (incorrect - wrong correction and broke another user's edit) 4) A (deleted k)nwonspace - A (deleted k)known (arguably incorrect - should have ignored the other user's edit) 5) (deleted k)knwonspace - Kknown (incorrect - wrong correction and broke another user's edit) 6) A (deleted k)knwonspace - (no change) (incorrect - should have ignored the other user's edit and corrected) (4) and (6) are a pair to me - the other user's edit should have been ignored for autocorrect purposes in both cases -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80650] lower case greek alphabet missing in localized Math symbol table
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80650 --- Comment #33 from Andy silva...@katamail.com --- I have experimented a little bit more and tragically my manual effort to recreate missing symbols in the formula catalog does NOT work 100%: - when I create a formula I can insert lowercase Greek letters and they appear correctly; - upon re-editing such formulas, all Greek letters that have an UPPERCASE equivalent (for example sigma and SIGMA) are automatically turned into uppercase, corrupting your formula completely. You are then forced to reconvert manually to lower case all symbols that are actually so; but this works only until the next editing, when the devilish automatic uppercase conversion will take place again Any workaround to this would be greatly welcome. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80650] lower case greek alphabet missing in localized Math symbol table
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80650 --- Comment #34 from Andy silva...@katamail.com --- Further, complicated, news: the problem described in the previous comment (unwanted automatic uppercase conversion) seems to appear not always but in only some instances: - when you edit the formula for the first time after opening the file where it is contained, but not in further editing instances in the same session. If you close the file and reopen it, the first editing will induce it again. - when you copy and paste the formula between two different document types: for example, if you have a formula in a Writer doc and copy and paste it into a new calc sheet, wrong uppercase conversion will take place; if you instead copy and paste it into another Writer doc, it will not. The same will happen in the opposite direction (from a calc sheet to a writer doc), and also when copying it to an Impress file etc from a different file type. For anybody needing to create and edit many formula, this a complete nightmare. Thus, creating manually the lowercase symbols is not a practically useful workaround.
