https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83325 --- Comment #3 from Owen Genat --- (In reply to comment #2) > I disagree, changing the measurement unit does not change the values that > are stored in metric units in the document. Hmmm. I see what you mean. Because ODF references the SVG specification a 2x2 cm rectangle drawn at offset 2 cm (x) and 2 cm (y) with default 1 cm margins results in: That is a problem at the SVG specification level. There is provision in the SVG specification to use User Units: http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-SVG11-20030114/coords.html#Units ... however that may require a large change to the manner in which measurement units are currently handled in LO (and maybe ODF). Even then this feature of SVG may not be sufficient. It would be good if there was a way (for example) to create a scale drawing using metric and send it to someone using imperial and have them see the same thing. Currently scale drawing interoperability is difficult across locales with differing measurement units. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

In cell A1 of a new spreadsheet, enter the formula =VLOOKUP(B1,$C$1:$D$1048576,2) 2. Save the file as .xls (Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP/2003) 3. Close and reopen the file, and check the target range of the VLOOKUP Excel shows the correct result when opening such a file, and has no problem saving/reloading it itself, so this is probably an issue in the import filter for .xls. The fact that 983040=1048576-65536 is probably relevant. The obvious workaround is to use an .xslx for file interchange when possible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 83739] EDITING: AutoText changes font
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83739 --- Comment #2 from Tom Meinen --- Jean-Baptiste Faure: Yes, thank you for responding. I still have the same problem when I do it that way. The difference is doing it that way does not push me down to the next line (undesired). In previous versions, choosing "New" (without "text only) produced the problem of changing the font, but did not force the cursor down to the next line. Choosing "New (Text Only)" forced the cursor down to the next line, but, fortunately, did not change the font. I therefore used the latter, circumventing the forced-to-next line problem by programming Ctrl+H to the same thing as the backspace key. Therefore, previously, I was able to (if I did it as in the example) type the letter K and then hit F3, making my character name typed, but I would be on the next line, requiring a quick Ctrl+H to get back up where I really wanted to be. I guess you could call that being forced down undesired to the next line another bug. Should I file a report for that or is this one sufficient? So, to recap: 1. Choosing "New" changes the font against the user's will, does not force cursor down to next line. 2. Choosing "New (Text Only)" changes the font against user's will, forces cursor down to next line. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66701] PDF: Malfunctioning PDF's digital signature function.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66701 --- Comment #25 from Markus Wernig --- Michael I have now run a couple of tests, trying to create signed PDFs with three different certificates: - Soft certificate ("softtoken"). This was a plain PKCS#12 file imported into the Mozilla NSS DB store. - Advanced certificate ("hardtoken"). This was a plain PKCS#7 certificate on an RSA token with associated private key on the token. Key usage was authentication/signing (i.e. no encryption). - Qualified certificate ("qualified hardtoken"). This was a PKCS#7 certificate stored in the SigG partition of the same RSA key, together with its private key. Both "hardtoken" certificates were visible through the NSS DB, where the token had been added and the appropriate PKCS#11 library configured (libCVP11 and libCVP11LCB respectively). This library is used by the NSS DB to communicate with the RSA token and handles all token commands, prompting for PINs through own helper programs if necessary, etc. The token works in both Thunderbird and Mozilla. The Acrobat version I used was Adobe Reader 9, Version 9.5.5 04/26/2013 on Linux amd64. It would of course be necessary to verify the attached PDFs in a newer version on other OSes (Tamas, could you do that on Win, maybe?). The results already look better than we thought in the beginning, but there are some errors that might be hard to track down. Here's what I've found (The build was still 4.4.0.0-alpha0 with debug symbols) 1) Softtoken: The signature operation creates a signed PDF. It remains unclear though, what the purpose of the "Certificate Password" field in the certificate selection page is. Since the NSS DB store is already unlocked in a separate dialog, I don't see any purpose in entering an additional (which??) password, and leaving it empty made no difference. The signature can be validated by Adobe Acrobat and any other tool that I got my hands on! The only point was that Adobe has to have the root CA of the signing certificate imported and trusted. So the PDF signature seems to work per se, but the dialog could be improved to make the options clearer (a help page would also be very useful!) I created both signed PDF and PDF/A. See files sigtest.pdf and sigtest-a.pdf. 2) Hardtoken: After inserting the token, I first ran the program normally (i.e. without gdb or valgrind). The NSS dialog now correctly asked for two token passwords (one for the internal NSS DB store and one for the token), then all certificates (from softstore and token) showed up in the list. I selected the "normal" authentication certificate from the hardtoken, and the signature was made successfully. It also could be validated in Adobe! See file sigtest-a-adv-sig.pdf. Then i tried to repeat the procedure, and got this error on the console (where I had started soffice.bin), when I clicked the "Select" button on the "Digital Signatures" tab: (process:26412): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed The program then stopped responding and froze. It had to be killed. I tried to reproduce this under valgrind, but unfortunately, it didn't freeze under valgrind. I've attached the trace nevertheless: valgrind-trace-4.4.0.0-nocrash-ok-advanced-sig-hardwaretoken-with-dbg.txt 3) Qualified hardtoken: First, without gdb/valgrind. Everything was the same as above, with the libCVP11 correctly launching an external program (/usr/local/bin/swisssign-pin-entry via /bin/sh) in order to request the signature PIN of the SigG partition. After selecting the file to write, the program crashed again with the output captured in output-4.4.0.0-crash-qual-sig.txt. Then the same under valgrind: As before, the program didn't crash and produced a PDF. But the signature PIN was never asked for (most likely a valgrind artefact), and the resulting PDF shows to be signed, some non-cryptographic attributes of the signature (date, comment) are present. But the signature itself is completely broken and cannot be validated in any program. Actually, it even crashes most of the programs I've tried to validate it with. One produced a Java stacktrace, from which I'd guessed that the signature was not even a valid structure: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: can't decode PKCS7SignedData object at com.itextpdf.text.pdf.PdfPKCS7. (PdfPKCS7.java:434) Which makes sense, since the signature PIN was not requested (seems the helper program segfaulted under valgrind). Actually, the resulting signature is all zeroes (see lines 285ff. of sigtest-a-qual-sig.pdf). Looking at the Signature Properties -> Verification error in Adobe Acrobat, I get the same (totally inconclusive) message as Tamas did in his original post: Error during signature verification. Error encountered while BER decoding: The output from that is in valgrind-trace-4.4.0.0-nocrash-broken-qualified-sig-hardwaretoken-with-dbg.txt So we seem to have different conditions under which LO still crashes when trying t

There is no option to resize the whole table other than what "Jean-Baptiste Faure" suggested. This is very detrimental from a usability point of view, as there is now way to scroll to the right to "grab" the right edge of the table, even if you zoom out. This is not the default behavior on Microsoft Office. In Microsoft office the table width is set to the maximum width of the paper, which makes a lot more sense, as the user can then adjust it comfortably. So, no, this is a bug, and not a helpdesk request. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83853 Priority: medium Bug ID: 83853 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Other: Printing from File>Labels fails without error message Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: mar...@workersliberty.org Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.6.2 release Component: Database Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Printing from File>Labels produces no output. This is equally true if the option to print output to file is selected (i.e. it's isn't a printer problem with us). There is no error message and the program appears to function normally (e.g. it prompts for a filename for the output in print-to-file and for a folder into which to save the output)... only, there's no output. We have this bug currently on LibreOffice 4.2.6.3 on three different Arch Linux machines. Printing still works on LibreOffice 4.2.4.2 on a Mac in our office running OS 10.6.8. We had this same problem some months back and reported it on the LibreOffice forums. There was some discussion there, but nothing which helped resolve the problem. The problem cleared up then as mysteriously as it had appeared. We hoped that it was fixed by an update in LibreOffice, but evidently not. This time, the bug first appeared on a machine which the same day, only an hour or so before, with the same version of LibreOffice, and without any intervening restart or anything, had printed ok. It would appear not to be a new bug in 4.2.6.3, but maybe a longstanding but erratic bug. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a database in LibreOffice 2. Select File>Labels and use already-existing format for labels 3. Click on New Document 4. Choose print. Current behavior: As above, everything appears fine except that there is no output (not even if we select print-to-file). Expected behavior: To get output.
