Also reproduced with this data in cells A1:B2 on new blank spreadsheet:

=RAND() =RAND()*A1
=RAND() =RAND()*A2

1st F9 will update all cells, 2nd F9 and so on will update 1by1 per row.

Reproduced with LO 4.3.2.2 - Ubuntu 12.04 x86

No repro with LO 4.3.1.2 -> regression started in 4.3.2.x

A. Make sure your windows 7 graphic environment is scaled to 100% following the
steps below:

1. In Control Panel, click Appearance And Personalization.
2. Under the Display heading, click Make Text And Other Items Larger Or
Smaller.
3. The default scaling options allow you to choose a 100-percent scale (the
default), a 125-percent scale, or a 150-percent scale. To use one of these
scaling options, make a selection, and then click Apply.
4. To choose a custom setting of between 100 and 500 percent, click Set Custom
Text Size (DPI) in the left pane, and then use the Scale combo box to select or
specify a scale.
5. You need to log off the user and then log on the user again for the changes
to take effect. desktop

B. Open the attached file and have a look at the logo in the upper left corner.
Close the file.

C. Now set your windows graphic env. scaling to 125% by following the steps as
described before.
D. Open up the attached file again. The Logo should disappear since the picture
is cut back and scaled different. Therefore only a white picture can be seen
instead of the logo.

saving a spreadsheet as Mirosoft xlsx file in 2007-2013 format for exchange
with other users, with some pages/sheets hiden works fine if the user open the
file on windows with MS Office. Open the file with the MS Excel for Mac cause
Excel to open correct, but the window can not moved or sized, just full screen
is possible. Working inside Excel works fine.

Open the xlsx file with LibreOffice, show all sheets even the hidden sheets
will be shown. Save the same file as native ods and reopen it does not show the
hidden sheets. There is something wrong on the way the hide option is saved to
file, or on how the xlsx file is loaded

I recently completed a huge rollout of LibreOffice in a corporate environment.
While training their employees to use LibreOffice, I verified that the help
images are missing from all their systems. The appropriate files are there,
but the images are not displayed.

After hours and hours of testing, troubleshooting, trial and error, and
research, I have found the bug.

I will post the details as soon as I have time to write it up. Stay tuned...

I attached the db that I am using where I found the error for the 1st time, but
the error happens with any db, even an empty one, as long as I add a date type
to a field the bug "shows up". When I have a created db, I could work in every

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84815] New: Presentation minimizer : new option for keeping lossless and jpeg original image file format

2014-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84815

Bug ID: 84815
Summary: Presentation minimizer : new option for keeping
lossless and jpeg original image file format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.6.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Presentation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jerome.bo...@wanadoo.fr

Problem description:

When I use the presentation minimizer, I have to choose whether the images are
with a lossless compression file format or with a jpeg file format.

However, documents may mix the image files formats.

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Current behavior:

Sometimes, if you convert a png image into a jpeg, the file size is inflating.
In most cases, if you convert jpeg images into png, the file size is inflating.

Expected behavior:

I would like a third option in order to keep the lossless and jpeg format but
adapt the resolution in all cases.

For example, if you have a document with a png image and a jpeg images, both
will keep their original file format but their resolution would be possibly
changed or they could be cropped, etc.

I think by default, a hidden slide should remain hidden.

If we'd like to add a feature to the Android remote to allow hidden slides to

works fine in 4.2.6.2, hence 4.3.x regression.
I think this could be placed in the mab4.3 list.

Bug ID: 84812
Summary: File open/save dialogs switch language to English
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bill...@gmail.com

Problem description: I use Windows 7 Greek with Greek and English keyboard
languages and I write documents in Greek adn I would like to save them with
Greek names without having to switch language again, just like other
applications.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Switch keyboard language to Greek (or other language)
2. Open file or Save file

Current behavior: Open file dialog and Save file dialog switch keyboard to
English, so I have to switch to Greek again. After you close them, they switch
keyboard language back to Greek anyway, because that's the language I was using
last in the document. This happens from the first time I've ever used
LibreOffice (maybe even v3.x) and in every component (Writer, Calc etc.)

Expected behavior: Open file dialog and Save file dialog should not modify
(even temporarily) the currently selected keyboard language.

Thanks for the tip, but after you explanation I think I have to clarify my
question :

Probably depending on the type of PDF files, you can sometimes add a PDF into
Draw, which uses it like a picture.
The same PDF file can't be imported into Writer nor Impress.

I don't understand why this wouldn't be possible : if one can, the others
should also.

I'm sorry I don't have this PDF anymore, so I can't add it to the report.

Regards,
YvanM

Oh please don't read too much into my comments ;) I wasn't accusing, I hadn't
looked at the sample you emailed me - just saw that you original post say 4k
records and was saying please don't attach that one :-D

Thanks so much for adding it!

Formatting error sample

Hi,
I have attached a much smaller file.
Although I'm not sure why I was accused of giving a "4000 record" file. The
earlier file had just 150 recs approx.
This file has 10 records.
As I have mentioned the issue earlier, I hope I neednot re-iterate it again.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84809] New: EDITING:Draw/Presentation crashes if document contains a push button with small height

2014-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84809

Bug ID: 84809
Summary: EDITING:Draw/Presentation crashes if document contains
a push button with small height
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: blocker
  Priority: medium
 Component: Drawing
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: siya...@lan.com.ua

Problem description:

If Draw/Presentation document contains a push button with height smaller then
0.26" the application crashes and enters infinite recovery loop. This can
happen either after opening of an existing document (created in LO 4.2.x) or by
creating new document in LO 4.3.x and drawing a "narrow" push button.
I've tried to reproduce this bug on several different Win7 and Win8 PCs. The
bug appears to be stable. It first appeared in the first 4.3 release is has
not been fixed until now. I've discovered this problem after upgrading from LO
4.2.6 when it turned out that many of my UI sketches made in Draw would not
open in LO 4.3.x. After a range of experiments with my files it boiled down to
a push button issue.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new Draw Drawing;
2. Click "Push Button" button on the "Form Controls" toolbar;
3. Outline rectangle for the button to be added and make sure that the
rectangle has small height (less then 0.26");
4. Draw will crash after releasing mouse button.

Current behavior: Program Crash

Expected behavior: Add "push button" element to a document.

Screen capture of what I did.

The Screen Capture/Bug Report slide shows that I changed the value in A22 so
that it was out of order. Then I highlighted the indicated area and chose
File, Sort, as indicated in the pop up window.

The first time I did it nothing unusual happened. I hit Ctrl Z to put it back
where it was and repeated the sort. This time it aborted (see second page of
the Bug Report document).

2014-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84808

Bug ID: 84808
Summary: Date Formatting leads to change in values
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: medium
 Component: Libreoffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: des...@gmail.com

I had a very bad experience which led to huge impact while formatting the date
column in csv file using LibreOffice Calc.
The csv file has around 4 recs with one of the column CREATE_DT having
dates in the format MM/DD/.
I used the format cell option (Right Click -> Format Cell -> Date) to change
the format of the first cell in CREATE_DT column to English (AUS) -MM-DD.
In order to apply this format change in the remaining 3 dates below, I
simply double-clicked the bottom right corner of the first cell.

Dates changed to English AUS format, but all the values are wrong. Some of them
whose dates were 2014 in actual, changed to 2089!!
To make things worse, I deployed it in Production, and things went haywire!!

Please take this issue as a serious problem, because, if changing format
changes the data, only few would trust LibreOffice Calc for serious
assignments.

Appreciate your response.

I´ll just jump in because I got a similar question today.

Customer uses MAC OS (I don´t know the exact version) and LibreOffice since 3
years.
Now he has updated to LibO Version 4.2.6.2 and now all is Mail-merge documents
doesn´t work any more.

Reason: in former version LibO uses german translated field names - and all
mail-merge fields are now fixed to these names.
the actual version now uses englisch field-names - so merging is not possible.

I added an aktual sceenshot witch may explain the differenz.

So the question is: What was changed?

Hey Davide -

So what I can see is that if you tap on your device (the one with the remote)
then it skips the hidden slide. If you swipe it shows the hidden slide. For me
this is kind of a feature since now you have the option to see the hidden slide
if you choose, but you can skip by tapping.

Your thoughts?

So I'm running Linux and I kind of guessed at how you're sorting. Please note
the other issue (the data mismatch) should be reported separately.

I see no crash. What I did is added some extra text, did not save, highlight
A3:G89, then I clicked the icon in the toolbar that is "sort A-Z", sorted fine,
then I did "sort Z-A." I see no crash at all.

Ubuntu 14.04
LibreOffice 4.3.2.2 release

If you're doing some other method of sorting please provide simple (as simple
as possible) reproducible steps that are enumerated. QA has to read thousands
of bug reports - having to dig through paragraphs of text to figure out the
reproducible steps makes it a lot harder. Thanks!

Hi Aronsoyol - I really suggest emailing the dev mailing list as it's likely to
get a better response than reporting build errors on the bug tracker. There are
a hundred commits a day, try to pull again and build again. FWIW I haven't had
any build problems on 14.04 in some time.

You can also join the dev IRC Chat to ask for live help. If you're able to
resolve it please set this bug to RESOLVED -> WORKSFORME

Each of these are problem OOXML .PPTX files that LibreOffice has issues with
opening and rendering. So, in reality they are not representative of the
handling of Thumbnail views in the StartCenter.

On Windows 7 sp1, 64-bit en-US with
Version: 4.3.2.2
Build ID: edfb5295ba211bd31ad47d0bad0118690f76407d

A .PPTX or .PPT file opened correctly in LibreOffice records a Thumbnail image
into the users' registrymodifications.xcu as a recent document entry. That
image is parsed and rendered in the Thumbnail view panel of the Start Center.

That all functions correctly.

Closing.

The sidebar uses the widget layout technique, so I wouldn't be that
pessimistic; I guess worth trying as an Easy Hack, and then let's see.

* the setting if the current symbols are large can be obtained via:

  SvtMiscOptions().AreCurrentSymbolsLarge()

* the sidebar toolbars that are created via .ui files are created in
  vcl/source/window/builder.cxx, search for GtkToolbar

* with that in mind, calling SetToolboxButtonSize() on the newly created
ToolBox
in builder.cxx should hopefully do it :-)

That should be enough for testing; if it proves to be a good change, then it of
course needs testing whether it changes the size when the user changes the
settings (I suspect not, but maybe I am wrong), etc.

(In reply to Jan Holesovsky from comment #3)
> For the record, the last cursor position is stored in
>
>
> in settings.xml.

I saved a document in 4.3 and opened it with 4.2: the cursor was at the top
although I saved it with a different cursor position.

Then I moved the cursor somewhere else and saved the document in 4.2. After
reopening the document in 4.2 the cursor was correctly at the stored position.

Afterwards I compared the two instances of settings.xml and realized the
following: In 4.2 the config items "ViewLeft" etc. were of type "int", whereas
in 4.3 they were of type "long". (More precisely, all items of type "int" in
4.2 were of type "long" in 4.3.)

Then, for the hack of it, I replaced all occurences of "int" with "long" and
4.2 opened the document at the right cursor position saved by 4.3 (although the
display of pages was a bit bizarre).

Maybe this can give a hint at where the bug is?

I stumbled upon this problem in OOo 4.2 and also here, so I did some more tests

I compared contents of "content.xml" in a document with a single cell table
a) before any background applied
b) Background to cell applied in AOO 4.1.1
c) Background to cell applied in LibreOffice 4.4.0.0.alpha0+

In the affected document source code area I can not see any difference between
"a" and "c". So the problem seems to be in UI: Apply Background color dooes
nothing. I see this problem for "Apply to cell" and "Apply to Row", but "Apply
to Table" works fine.
